TOTAL DRAMA WRESTLING UPDATE 10/5/09 Yes, folks, we are finally getting this show on the road. I apologize to everyone for taking so long to get things officially underway, but I was hoping a few more people might show interest in participating. But as promised the last time I updated you, we are now getting this underway. I do hope the wait will be worth it after all is said and done, and hope you are all anxious to finally get things started. Given that we have just nine characters participating... and also to allow you a chance to get your characters established, figure out what alliances you may wish to form and what direction you want to take with things... the first couple of "episodes" will not see any eliminations. Instead, the first couple of challenges will be "reward" challenges. The updates will be a little different than what a typical e-fed puts out. There isn't going to be any lineup, obviously. Instead, you will get the details about each challenge, what I will be looking for in terms of flashes, strats and what your apporach should be. SHOW ONE: INTRODUCTIONS AND THE QUEST FOR FOREIGN OBJECTS The challenge: Scattered about the Prison In the Middle of Nowhere will be nine different foreign objects. Every foreign object will be useful to the next challenge in store for the competitors... but only one foreign object will lead to a reward for the winner. The question is... which one will it be and where will it be found? The detailed explanation: There will be nine foreign objects that will be hidden in nine different locations throughout the prison. The objects in question are as follows: the steel chair, the ring bell, the chain, the brass knuckles, the baseball bat, the leather strap, the Singapore cane, the roll of quarters and the trash can lid. The rooms they will be hidden in are as follows: the dining room, the kitchen, the wood shop, the metal shop, the laundry room, the library, the visiting area, the gymnasium and the communal bathroom. Wrestlers are free to use the moves in their repertoire to prevent an opponent from finding a foreign object, or using other tactics to distract their opponents, but they are not allowed to pick up any other foreign object during the quest (throwing into objects is different, though). Once a wrestler lays claim to the foreign object in question, it's over and the wrestler gets to keep it... all rooms will be monitored by referee Raymond Elbert to determine which wrestler gets to the object first. What your strat should include: List the nine rooms in the order your wrestler will plan to search the rooms. Also, list the nine foreign objects in which order your wrestler would value them the most. And finally, if you find yourself confronted by an opponent in any of the rooms, what is your approach going to be and how will you see to it that you get to the hidden foreign object first. The only restriction: You may NOT pick up any other foreign object lying around to stop your opponent... using a move to send them into such an object is fine, but otherwise, other objects are not to play a role. What your flashes should include: There will be two flashes you need to submit for sure. The first one is your introductory flash... your wrestler will be filmed walking through the prison gates and will use that opportunity to introduce themselves. The second one is to be your wrestler's reaction to the challenge before them and your wrestler's reaction to the opposition that awaits... that flash will be done in front of the TDW backdrop, just like a backstage promo. And remember this: All flashes need to be kept BRIEF. The longer your flash gets, the less it is going to work in your favor. One last thing: The participating characters will be kept a secret... for now. Once the first part of the show goes out, I will then be taking flashes that include character reaction to the outcomes of challenges, their reaction to the opponents they are facing, as well as flashes in which alliances get set up... so be patient on this. Once the first part of our first show comes out, I'll then get the details about what you can do for additional character development and you can start asking for e-mail addresses to contact other people to set up alliances. DEADLINE: All flashes and strats for the first part of the first show need to be received by MONDAY, OCTOBER 12. Send everything to ratsportrm@yahoo.com.
