NEWS:

- Trey DaMann's final match of his career one way or another will come at
Gold Rush, as a last second decision made by Allison Chambers in her new
role as Interim Commissioner. This was met by some criticism from higher
ups as not everyone is in favor of giving DaMann further medical
clearance with his state of health, but Trey will compete in the match
barring any further deterioration in his condition.

- Hot off the heels of winning the tag team tournament, UWF officials
informed Brett Young he must find a partner for Gold Rush, as he won't be
allowed to wrestle a handicap match against Don't Go There. There
remains hope that Pablo O'Connor will make it back from injury in time
for the show, but if he doesn't Young must have a backup or lose his shot
altogether.

- New matches for Gold Rush have been finalized: Dan Kauffman will meet
Alex Martinez in singles competition stemming from their match at SNR,
with the Unified Television Title on the line; Corvette, Felicia Marley
and Dalbello Rage will have a match on the pre-show with a future title
shot said to be on the line; Summer Blake has earned a shot at the
Women's North American Championship thanks to defeating Donna Tetreault
and Nikki the Cat at SNR; The Outlaws have demanded a match at Gold Rush
with newcomers Johnny Detson and Tyrone Hayes thanks to their
interference; and Oz Rivera will face his former partner Vinnie Vasquez
one on one.

- Rick Marley was expected to be at the last Saturday Night Rampage, but
due to unforseen travel complications was unable to attend. He's
expected to be at Gold Rush now, where it's expected that someone will
address Marley's previous rant.

- With ACW in a currently hibernating state due to a number of reasons,
the flourishing career of owner Tom Landis elsewhere included, it was
assumed that there would not be a showcase match this year from the
developmental organization. This is not the case however, as members of
the ACW roster will be in attendance afterall to compete for the Detroit
crowd on the pre-show.

It's that time of year again, when the UWF packs up and heads to Detroit,
Michigan for GOLD RUSH! And this year's edition is no different,
bringing the world some of the greatest wrestling action and the hottest
fueds to the Motor City. But at the same time a cloud hangs over the
event as word spreads of the UWF's impending sale. The new owners of the
company will be on hand at Gold Rush to mark a new beginning of sorts,
with wild speculation of who's behind the takeover getting out of hand.

In the main event, "THE EXTREME" ALEXANDER EPSTEIN will face his greatest
challenge to date when he puts the Heavyweight Championship of the World
on the line in a FOUR CORNERS MATCH! His opponents each won the right to
compete in the match: JUAN VASQUEZ, the man who blames Epstein for his
best friend's forced retirement... TUMAFFI, the gargantuan competitor
who's only clear intent is to destroy everything in his wake... and TREY
DAMANN, the sentimental favorite looking to extend his career one last
night, one last match, one last win. Any of these four men could walk
out of Gold Rush the champion, in what will surely be a war of attrition.

In a battle for the North American Heavyweight Championship, "DEAD END"
DEREK MARTIN defends against "THE ERA OF DEFIANCE" GABRIEL WHITECROSS!
Martin had been demanding a hero to step up and face him ever since
winning the title last fall, but what he got was one of the greatest
names in history instead to rise up. Their battles have escalated with
each passing week, and at Gold Rush their final war threatens to consume
them both.

They crossed paths at Scene Of The Crime, but the battles continued
between GAMMA RAY and TOMMY "THRILLSEEKER" ELLIOTT. A challenge to
eliminate caffeine from his daily regimen slowed down the Thrillseeker,
but did not stop him altogether. GAMMA RAY meanwhile was able to secure
a future title shot of his choice, and continue to proclaim himself an
uncrowned world champion. Now at Gold Rush they square off again, in a
LADDER MATCH. The IOU Championship versus The Streak. Winner Take All.

The Unified World Tag Team Champions DON'T GO THERE have ruled the tag
team division and taken on all comers to date, and Gold Rush presents a
new unknown challenge... "THE FANTASY" BRETT YOUNG won a recent #1
contenders tournament singlehandledly, and at Gold Rush receives his
earned shot. But with his normal partner on the shelf with an injury,
Young has to find himself a new partner. Bonn and Ryu have to face an
unknown opponent, and Young will go into battle with an untested partner.

One of them was supposed to earn a place in the main event. One of them
was supposed to have a chance to walk out of Gold Rush as world champion.
Instead, their mutual disrespect and dislike for one another cost them
both dearly and instead they'll face each other one on one. DAN KAUFFMAN
emerged from a near decade long sabbatical and in his biggest match since
that return will meet "THE LAST AMERICAN BADASS" ALEX MARTINEZ, arguably
the most destructive man in the business today. The Unified Television
Championship will be on the line as wrestling's past and present collide.

"MOCKINGBIRD" NINA GRIMSSON held an iron grip on the Women's World
Championship for months, until she fell in defeat to "THE ALL AROUND
ATHLETE" LAURA DAVIS a few months ago. Each one has done the improbable
and beaten the other at their own specialty, Nina winning a scientific
wrestling match over Laura followed by Davis stunning Grimsson for the
title in a hardcore rules battle. The third and final chapter between
these two takes place at Gold Rush in Nina's hometown, in a LAST WOMAN
STANDING MATCH! Perhaps the perfect balance between the anarchistic Nina
and the traditionalist Laura, where the only path to victory is to put
the other person down for a ten count, by any means necessary.

OZ RIVERA and "DUBBA-V" VINNIE VASQUEZ were on the path to wrestling
greatness, combining their efforts in an unlikely yet highly successful
tag team outfit. But in coming up short of a near-guaranteed chance of a
lifetime, Rivera snapped and blamed his own partner, dissolving their
alliance once and for all. Almost immediately Vasquez demanded a chance
for retribution, and it will come at Gold Rush when the former partners
become brand new enemies.

With one of the longest and most amazing resumes in wrestling, THE
OUTLAWS are multiple time champions in singles and tag team divisions
across the globe. On the biggest stage in the business Doc Holliday and
Brent Maverick take on a brand new duo in JOHNNY DETSON and TYRONE
"PURPLE" HAZE! Detson and Hayes cost the Outlaws a possible title shot,
but at Gold Rush they'll have to face the men itching to make them
famous.

For months DONNA TETREAULT sought out the perfect person to become her
personal protege. SUMMER BLAKE outlasted all other competitors along
with NIKKI THE CAT, but in the end the Cat pounced on the perfect
opportunity to prove once and for all who Donna's selection should be.
And now at Gold Rush Summer gets a consolation prize... a shot at Donna's
Women's North American Title! But you can bet where the champion will
be, her feline friend won't be far behind.

PVW Superstar "SHOWTIME" RICK MARLEY appeared on a recent edition of
Saturday Night Rampage live in Phoenix, with many harsh things to say
about the UWF organization. Word is he'll be making a repeat appearance
at Gold Rush, but rumors persist that a UWF representative will be on
hand for a rebuttal.

His shocking return to the UWF caught many by surprise, but "DARK HORSE"
RANDALL OSBOURNE ran afoul of one in particular, former wrestling
champion DANIEL KIDD! Osbourne and Kidd have engaged in a war of words,
at the center of which is the woman both have a history with, TAWNI
NORTHERN. Gold Rush will see their rivalry head to new heights as Kidd
comes out of retirement in a TOWEL MATCH against Osbourne. Kidd named
Tawni as Randall's cornerperson on the last SNR, and in retaliation
Osbourne picked the last man Dan expected to be his cornerperson, former
UWF broadcaster SAM STEELEY!

And in a special pre-show challenge, "THE MATRIX" FELICIA MARLEY squares
off with DALBELLO RAGE and CORVETTE in a women's three-way dance! It's a
chance for all three to impress the brass and catapult themselves up into
title contention on the biggest show of the year.

Plus a special ACW Showcase Match, and much more!
