I have no idea and was still new to the internet at that point (you guys really ARE fossils) but I did hear from someone that the Road to the Gold started because of that snafu.

Well then see? Everybody DID win. And a brand new confusing-as-hell gimmick match was born.

Speaking of confusing-as-hell gimmick matches, lets see if I can still get Beebs to flinch...

MAELSTROM!

YOU SWORE YOU'D NEVER SAY THAT WORD AGAIN.

i lied. That's what bastards do.

Am I gonna have to ask Sonby for a translation or is this before even his time?

Hell, Sonby was involved.

I think it was the fourth match in the CJR/Osbourne feud.

It was an abomination of a match that involved falls count anywhere, texas death and lumberjack rules. Naturally, it originated in the MBC...
Everything I learned about soccer, I learned from Dro.

You are to refer to Katie as "The Duchess of Der Basterdmusen" as of June 2014. She'll get angry if you don't. You've been warned.

See, this explains why MBC is the redheaded stepchild of e-w.

Is the blimp inside the inescapable cage, or outside the inescapable cage?
And... is the cage filled with water?

Several comments:

* The CJR-Bishop match was a ladder match inside a steel cage. Annis 'won' by entering the cage and grabbing the belt (since the contract was 'whoever retrieved the belt', without specifying it had to be someone in the match). Annis was stripped, and (I believe) Alex Kidd won the first 'Road to the Gold' battle royale to win the vacant title

* The Maelstorm match was a falls-count-anywhere match where both wreslters (CJR and Osbourne) each had five members of the UWF roster who had weapons that could help them out (I think Steeley was revealed to the final man to help Osbourne). Weird and over the top, but nowhere near as bad as...

See previous "you're not helping" statement! :)

But yes...this is true...MBC would be good...

...and it would give me a reason (like I needed one anyways) to bring my most ferocious character out of retirement!

Expect the debut of Muffin the Angry Badger soon.

You've been warned.
