So... Jay's not leaving the game? Also, Juan Vasquez is raising holy hell in the name of Luke Kinsey, and Trey DaMann faked cancer because he was jealous of Kinsey? There's no doubt who the most over guy in the UWFMBC is. |

But you have answered your own question. He's worth millions. He doesn't need the money from a wrestling career. He needs the glory. That is his motivation. |

He wants glory, yet he refuses to defend his title belt at all thus hampering his chances of achieving said glory? Still say the plan's not well thought out. |

He also tried to no-sell the cancer punch when it's obvious he actually did have cancer and Juan Vasquez punched it out of him. His plan would seem more plausible if that was the case. "You see guys...I really did have the cancer, but then Vasquez cured me and I thought...hey, why not milk this for all it's worth!" |

I then presume Juan punched the cancer into Alexander Epstein? Regardless, it's obvious that Juan has far greater superpowers than Gamma Ray could hope to have. |

We're thinking of Gamma Ray's superpowers incorrectly. While we all assume he'd have super strength or flight, it's obvious he's got mindreading and psychic powers as he correctly deduced Trey DaMann's plan. |

Gamma Ray has yet to utter a single solitary lie, my friends. He is indeed the hero he has always claimed to be. Love him. |

Kiora Donavon doesn't wish to love him. She does however acknowledge his perceptiveness in deducing Trey's plan and applaud him for that perceptiveness. |

Don't forget the 30 day title defense rules! Trey'll forfeit the title before the next card is out!

Or try to circumvent the 30 day rule by saying he's not under contract, thus not beholden to UWF rules. Hoping all the while that somebody doesn't realise that not being a member of the UWF means he can't be champ. |

What happens if Juan Vasquez tracks him down and breaks his leg too? Would he still be in a good enough physical condition to keep the title? |

Juan Vasquez punches out Jessica Marshall and then stabs Trey with a dirty needle, thus giving him a real disease and this time when he looks for sympathy, he finds none. Greatest blow-off ever. ![]() And when we're done...we can play this song again! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeTgx_pj6m8 |

Trey's persona is that of a total narcissist. It was what led to him to spend a great deal of time devising and executing the part of the plan that did work (getting the title), but not enough on the aftermath (keeping the title). A narcissist views himself and those things associated with him (in this case, his "master plan," team of lawyers, etc.) as incapable of failure. This is why he has no problem revealing everything on national television and relying on his lawyers to keep the belt on him. Especially after having everything work out the way he wanted (so far), he won't even consider that anything could go wrong. He believes that he can do whatever he wants (just wait to see what happens this cycle) and nothing bad could ever happen to him. Now as far as Trey's motivation, it's to do whatever he wants in a world that doesn't allow for that (part of the entitlement complex of a narcissist), instead of any one particular accomplishment or reason for glory. He gladly spent a ton of money and got his ass kicked (three times, and since all three were against Juan Vasquez, it's equal to the beating from one 18-year-old girl), for the grander purpose of winning a title that nobody in the league thought he could win (the biggest insult for a narcissist is that he can't do something). It was all a way of screwing the league that doubted him, so it makes sense that he's not really concerned about being stripped of the title, losing paychecks, and being a pariah in an organization that so greatly insulted him. It was more of a "look what I did to all of you," rather than just being their champ. Besides, the plan had to have a number of flaws. Mike has given me incredible latitude with this whole storyline, but even he doesn't want to see a situation where Trey could actually (and logically) leave with the belt for the next 8 years. Trey's a heel now, which means something has to go wrong. Again, all the signs are there...someone should be able to figure out what is going to go wrong for him. There are hints all over this post, too. (note to Wolf: he did bribe members of the UWF medical staff to fudge the results and relay their "findings" to the administration....he was able to find out who would be willing to do that by working with the former co-owner) (note to Andy: No. Beeby convinced me to revise the original plan, which called for Trey to go off into the sunset after losing his one and only opportunity to earn a title shot.) |

The one thing in all of this is, who's going to rise from the ashes to go up against DaMann -- and be someone worth credibly cheering for? There's plenty of options for the first part. But it's the second part that things start to go pear-shaped. JV/GR/Alex M./Derek M. (just to toss out potential top contenders) -- it's EW4 vs. Augustine again, there is no lesser of two evils. Whoever wins, the fans lose regardless if no one is willing to turn. So, it'll be interesting to see what will happen then... |
