That's right...time to list your all-time e-wrestlecrap booking decisions!

I'm sure Mike Justice winning the EMWC world title in a match he wasn't even involved in is going to come up, so I'll just get that one out of the way right now. ;)

Saul Akiva beating Juan Vasquez, Tommy Creighton and Jorge Cardera in the RAW Interfed Championship match. Then the character disappeared. To think: he beat Jorge Cardera...

Oh yeah. And any match Jason Midnight ever won.

I'm certainly to blame for a bunch...

Jobbing Dr. Hate in his first World Title defense, to "The Educator" Thane Sloan during NAWC's first run back in '99. And then jobbing Sloan the following week - I think to "The Cavalier" Tom Knight. Good thing Knight had a nice long reign after that.

Allowing the brutal assault of Moira Faith and Caine Tainer by Iris Galiver and Hannibal Carver in DSW; without Mike's prior knowledge and consent. Thank God Mike was able to turn that into a positive though, turning Moira face for a while.

Second round of the Empress Cup women's tournament, in the match pitting Scarlet McCain and "Evening Star" (I think) Elizabeth Glazier against Marissa Monet and Ashlyn Summers. McCain's handler flaked, but I still put her over more than I did Glazier. REal bad call on my part.

I'm sure there's some more, but those are three that I regret the most.

Saul Akiva was good. I don't think I booked that match (james dean's reign at the time?) but I feuded with Akiva (the classic Akiva/Kinski feud!) and he was worthy.

It was so long ago I can't remember if I disappeared or not!

I recall that match was when JD closed up shop and RAW became WILD, RAW-Carolina, Vegas etc...

Are we talking about RAW Interfed tourney that involved RAW-Carolina, RAW-Vegas, RAW-New York and Ohio Valley RAW???

If so, I hold claim to being the handler of the man (Kevin Simmons) that Jorge Cardera beat in the first round of that tourney.....

Yeah, I know. Cheap lame attempt at self promotion....haha.

But I did love the Akiva character though.

Akiva won the RAW interfed tournament by popular vote from three of the four fedheads involved in the booking (myself, Frank Byrns, Doug Coleman, and Jared Hawkins), hung around a while and defended it in a couple regional RAW matches, then disappeared when Jim's personal life got in the way for whatever reason (I believe it was career overload). He then lost the title to Jason Storm (before I was handed over control of the character by his creator) and the RAW Alliance folded into the very short-lived All-Star Wrestling, which went belly up when I went into the hospital for emergency surgery and five months of hellish recovery. If I remember correctly, Akiva's workrate was outstanding going into the tournament and it was a very close decision between all four finalists in the match.

Chris "Grammatically Challenged" Page beating Madison J. Valentine for the GPW World Title. Just one of many examples of David A. $mith's brain at work.
"Destruction of Hell" start playing as Mason drop the mic and exit the
ring as fans throw stuffs at him but he punch out most of the fans even
children.

Hmmm...

Yeah, I remember my first promo had been ok, not up to snuff of the would be finalists' first efforts...but I remember stepping it up though later on. Vasquez had some pretty sick stuff though for that. Akiva did play the true face to the hilt, but I'd say, it was pretty different than anything I saw out of him in RAW, so I wasn't convinced of the sudden character change (Though the match needed a true face...Vasquez and Creighton, if I remember, were pretty tweenerish at that time (Vasquez leaning face, Creighton leaning heel, and Cardera was definitely a heel). So I could see why he played the role he did and why the tourney needed a face.

If I had won, I'd have probably flaked anyways.

That said: Probably wasn't the worst end in e-w history, but it definitely was one of the causes for the abrupt end of WC-RAW, which ended up leading to my stint in XHCW, which would lead to the decline and death of that fed as well. And, no, I am totally _not_ blaming Byrns, Kuc, etc. for WC-RAW's closing, I mean, their decision is their decision, and it was the egos that got crazy and it all hitting the fan that ended it... but we really needed that win to get some kind of promotional advantage and to keep Doug going...so yeah, maybe I got beat, but that's the one I needed to win.

So needless to say...probably the e-w decision that indirectly effected more of the path I took in the game than any other single match. So yeah, I pine for WC-RAW, and I back Doug, and Doug backed me so...

I guess I'm too biased to say whether it was a bad decision at all. I had a lot riding on the match and pretty much the survival of the fed on my shoulders, so you could see how losing, well...wasn't an option at the time. I think John could tell you how crazy it was when War lost in the second round, and the whole situation with Doug in general, who tried to rally his troops to stay together.

If anyone has those promos, it'd be pretty cool to post them up again. That was a long time ago, and I'd be interested to see what the Hell my promo looked like, and what everyone else's looked like too.

I would _love_ to see the promos I did with Akiva for that again, one in particular I rate as one of my best [was set in the middle of the ring] but alas, it has vanished from my hard drive.

Would have been me. Don't think I have them anymore and I don't remember if the ASW group is still online or not.

Maybe I still have the Cardera RPs...I know I did spring cleaning on my inbox, but I keep a lot of my sent messages (and all promos). So I can post mine up.
