Last week's A~3: Triple Time Trial changed the face of ALPHA, and last night at ALPHA 10: Extra Time, everyone tried to pick up as many pieces as they can! Is the Hurst Era over and the Shaw Dynasty begun? Will someone else from the LIONS Fight Club step up to dominate ALPHA? Is this D.R. Kongo's chance to get his revenge on LFC? If you didn't catch it last night, don't worry! Just order ALPHA 10 on demand by calling 1 800 MOD ERNV or visiting www.modernvision.com right now! For those of you who can't wait to see it for yourself, superfan Charlie Reagers has once again provided a show report! ![]() alpha.nearzone.com ALPHA 10 Extra Time 6.19.10 John Hurst came down to the ring and sat at ringside. He stayed to watch everything going on tonight. Byron Maloka made an appearance. He asked the crowd if they liked his style, which got a pop. He asked if they wanted to see him climb to the top of ALPHA, which got another pop. He said that he had been grounded by his $1000 fine, but he was working on it, and needed our (the fans') help. He announced the Danger Kid Fund, which he had founded in order to help pay off the fines he has already accrued and those he would rack up in the future. He started going around the crowd to try and collect some money. Chandra Taylor came out from the back, absolutely livid. She told Byron that the fines were to get him to stop being reckless, and that if he insisted on continuing to damage RMC property and endanger customers, she would have to take drastic action. Maloka shrugged her off, telling her that he was going to make it to ALPHA 11 and there was nothing she could do about it! Gloves Up, New Fish!: Brian Jackson vs. Barron Ulysses Jackson started off doing his best to avoid Ulysses, circling around the ring until Ulysses simply stood his ground and beckoned Jackson in. They locked collars, but Jackson quickly slipped away and outside of the ring to strategize. Jackson jumped up on the apron, ULYSSES SHOULDER BLOCKED HIM OFF AND INTO THE BARRICADE! Ulysses followed Jackson out and bodyslammed him on the floor before rolling him back in. Jackson tried to crawl away, but Ulysses stalked after him, weathering several of Jackson's comparatively puny kicks to the legs. Ulysses pulled Jackson up by his hair, shot him into the ropes, HUGE LARIAT! 2! Jackson still seemed rather loopy as he grabbed at the ropes to pull himself up to his feet. Ulysses bashed Jackson's face into the corner repeatedly, then biel tossed him into the center of the ring. Ulysses reclined in the corner for a bit, waiting for Jackson to rise, then charged in with a huge knee lift -- Jackson with the roll-up counter! 2! Ulysses quickly up, dropkick to the mouth by Jackson! Jackson desperately climbed to the top rope, BIG SPLASH -- BOOT UP FROM ULYSSES! Jackson on spaghetti legs as Ulysses pulled himself up and hooked Jackson on his shoulder. CRUSH RUSH -- Jackson hooked his feet on the top rope! He fought bravely, throwing elbows into Ulysses's gut. Jackson pushed off with his feet, DIAMOND DUST! 2.5 -- situp from Ulysses! Ulysses climbed to his feet holding Jackson on his shoulder. Jackson kicked his feet, but couldn't get away! CRUSH RUSH! Hook of the leg! It's academic! 3! Prove Your Worth: Alexander Shaw vs. Rodrigo De La Zed The match opened up with some chain wrestling, Shaw getting the advantage several times only for DLZ to hook the knee or armdrag his way out temporarily. DLZ managed to followup a snapmare with a dropkick, creating some distance so that he could charge Shaw into the corner. The referee managed to get them apart, DLZ lunged in, straight into an elbow shot from Shaw! Shaw with the sitout inverted suplex slam, followed quickly by a chickenwing. Shaw tried to turn DLZ into a pinning predicament, but DLZ hooked his leg on the ropes. Kicks to the stomach from Shaw, whip into the opposite corner, charged in and the elbow is ducked! DLZ with another superkick, caught! Capture suplex! Shaw grinded in his advantage with a grounded chinlock. DLZ battled up several times, only to be flipped back over and the submission contiued. DLZ threw his foot over the bottom rope to break the hold. Shaw tried to pull DLZ up, but the referee interfered, giving DLZ the opportunity to throw Shaw face-first into the buckles and roll him up on the rebound: 2.5! Shaw shook the cobwebs out. DLZ was on his feet and snapped off stomps into Shaw's ribs and head. He picked Shaw up and tossed him into the ropes, telegraphing a back body drop and getting kick to the chest for his trouble. Shaw unloaded with a series of stiff elbow shots, ROARING ELBOW -- DENIED! DLZ shoved Shaw into the ropes, Shaw with the dropkick to the knee! Sleeperhold! Stann then announced that he had managed to find a replacement: D.R. Kongo! Hurst did not seem happy about this, but he said nothing. Full-Tilt Warm-Up: Royal Lancers (Jay and Stephen Mathers) vs. Javier Sikkan & D.R. Kongo D.R. Kongo and Stephen Mathers started things off. Kongo looked for big kicks early on, but Steve avoided the most lethal-looking kicks. Steve quickly tagged in Jay and the Lancers set to work on Kongo, beating him down and whipping him into the ropes for a tandem clothesline before Steve was forced out of the ring. The Lancers put their tag skills to work in a big way, each staying in barely a second before tagging out to do more double-team damage. Kongo mustered up a rebellion, booting both in the stomachs and lunging for a tag, but Steve cut him off with a senton splash! Shot him across the ring to Jay, who MOWED KONGO DOWN WITH A LARIAT! 2.5! The Lancers began to use the Pillory hold, tagging frequently and arguing with the ref to extend their cut time while Jay wrenched the hold in and Steve kicked Kongo in the face. The Lancers jawed at the crowd and Sikkan as they did this, Steve rushing over to knock Sikkan off the apron a few times, which got the ref in Sikkan's face and bought the Lancers even more time. Finally, the legal man Jay broke the hold and brought Kongo to his feet, hooked him up and left him hanging in the air with a vertical suplex for several seconds before bringing him crashing down to the mat! 2.8! Shots to the head from Jay, cover number two! 2.8! Jay tagged out to Steve and the Lancers executed a tandem snap suplex. Steve continued to work Kongo over with fists, and then cinching in a modified camel clutch. He brought Kongo to his feet and threw him back to the mat with a northern lights suplex. "AD ASTRA!" They wrestled until Rageous managed to get a rear waistlock, looking for the back suplex, but Springfield got to the ropes. He whipped Springfield hard into the ropes, then sought to follow with a big spear -- Springfield leapfrogged over and Rageous's right shoulder slammed into the post! Springfield waited for Rageous to begin pulling himself back, dropkick right to that shoulder! Rageous dropped onto the mat. Springfield wasted no time climbing to the top, giving just a short taunt before MOONSAULTING OFF! Picture perfect! 2.8! Rageous shot Springfield into the ropes, whiffed the lariat on the first rebound, Springfield came running back again, FLYING DIVORCE COURT FROM SPRINGFIELD! Spun up into a seated armbar! Springfield tried to turn it over into a cross-arm breaker, but Rageous rolled through and dumped Springfield on his stomach. Repeated elbow drops to the back of Springfield! Rageous was running on instinct! Hauled Springfield off the mat, back suplex! Both men down! Rageous clutched his arm tightly, shaking his head to block out the pain.
