After last night's ALPHA 11: The First Challenge, it seems that some people (cough cough LIONS F.C.) can't let bygones be bygones! In the main event, Alexander Shaw battled Dash Springfield in a thrilling contest, but the show's focus was quickly stolen by a company-shaking announcement! If you (somehow!) missed the action live on pay-per-view, you can always order it on demand by calling 1 800 MOD ERNV or visiting www.modernvision.com!

And as always, our well-traveled fan reporter Charlie Reager was on hand to provide a show report!

ALPHA 11
The First Challenge
6.26.10
[/align]

The crowd looked to be somewhat more than 300 people, but not 350.

Danger Kid vs. Crush-liath: Byron Maloka vs. Barron Ulysses
Maloka circled around Ulysses at first, but Ulysses didn't take the bait. Maloka shot in for a chop block, but Ulysses sidestepped him and caught him by the back of the neck. FACEDOWN SLAM! 2! Ulysses walked on Maloka's chest to drive the wind out of him, then hit the ropes, elbow drop -- denied! Maloka clutched his chest, but he still managed to snap a series of kicks into Ulysses's back. Ulysses was not fazed in the slightest, climbing to his feet and elbowing Maloka aside. Maloka springboarded off the second rope, right into a huge boot from Ulysses! 2 -- ropes! Ulysses dragged Maloka away from the ropes, then rebounded off the ropes himself and scored his elbow! 2.5! "CRUSH RUSH!" Ulysses wasn't wasting any time. He pulled Maloka up to his feet and swung him onto that big shoulder, then charged across the ring! CRUSH RUSH -- Maloka slipped out the back! DROPKICK TO ULYSSES'S SKULL! Maloka had to take a moment to recover from all the damage he sustained, which gave Ulysses time to regroup as well.

Maloka came charging in for another dropkick, but Ulysses swatted it aside. Maloka back to his feet, Ulysses shot him into the ropes and sent him crashing to the mat with a bionic elbow. Maloka rose to his feet again and a redwood-hewing chop sent him right back down. This time, Maloka's rising was a product of Ulysses, but he didn't have anything benevolent in mind, immediately whipping Maloka into a corner. Ulysses rushed madly at Maloka and DRILLED HIS KNEE INTO MALOKA'S GUT! Ulysses pushed his knee in deep, trying to make sure that every ounce of air was forced out, and then bieled Maloka powerfully out of the corner. Ulysses lazily walked along the ropes, measuring Maloka up. He bounced back off the ropes and giant-stomped his way across the ring, then jumped high for a leg drop, which Maloka evaded! Maloka shot to his feet and immediately began to score kicks, mostly to the head, rocking Ulysses but in no way stopping his slow ascent to his feet. Once there, however, Ulysses couldn't keep balanced, forced back by Maloka's irresistible kicks until he was backed against the ropes. Maloka took a deep breath and raced across the ring to the opposite ropes, coming back at top speed for a BRUCE LEE KICK THAT SENT ULYSSES OVER THE TOP! Ulysses managed to land on his feet and stagger back into the barricade. Maloka played to the crowd as he regained his composure, then repeated the run he'd made before. This time, he jumped up clear onto the top rope and LAUNCHED HIMSELF OFF, CATCHING ULYSSES WITH A CROSSBODY AND KNOCKING THEM BOTH OVER INTO THE CROWD!

The Royal Lancers! Jay and Stephen Mathers bolted out from the back, running around the ring at full speed. Maloka was just getting to his feet when Jay grabbed him by the neck and dragged him over the barricade, making him easy prey for Jay and Steve to stomp! The referee called for the bell!
Winner: Byron Maloka by disqualification (10:40)

The Lancers continued their assault by tandem whipping Maloka into the barricade at full force, which knocked Maloka flat on his face. Jay signaled to Steve and Steve got up on the apron. Jay hooked Maloka up, DEATH OR GLORY -- music hit, distracting them! Brian Jackson came tearing down the aisle! He slid into the ring and Steve jumped in to meet him. Jackson and Steve traded blows, brawling like animals. Jay slid into the ring to help his brother out and together they beat Jackson down, then delivered a nasty tandem suplex! Steve split off to take care of Maloka, the Lancers taking both Maloka and Jackson apart.

Chandra Taylor made her presence known then, applauding the Lancers. She explained that she'd hired the Lancers as an insurance policy for the casino and said that if Maloka wouldn't comply on his own, one way or another, the Royal Lancers would make him comply.

Hungry LIONS vs. Raw Meat: LIONS F.C. (Rodrigo De La Zed and Josh Cameron) vs. Jake Landell & Doug Chase
The LIONS started things off by charging the newbie team before the bell and knocking them out of the ring, then following them out to brutalize them on the floor. The referee tried to coax the wrestlers back inside the ring, but as the match hadn't officially started yet, he was mostly powerless. Landell received a snap suplex on the floor courtesy of DLZ, making Landell writhe in back pain. Cameron tried for a suplex on Chase, but Chase wasn't game for that, so Cameron instead clubbed Chase repeatedly and then rammed the newcomer's head into the barricade. DLZ whipped Landell into the barricade and charged in after him with a lariat. Cameron hot-shotted Chase onto the barricade. The referee still tried to get order, but the LIONS were having none of it. They shot Landell and Chase into each other, then Cameron smashed Chase with a German suplex and DLZ scored a reverse DDT. Finally, Cameron rolled Chase into the ring and followed him in, shouting "Ring the fucking bell!" The referee called for the bell.

With the match finally underway, Cameron stalked Chase for a bit, letting Chase get into a more amenable position, and then darting in to catch him in a gator hold. He allowed Chase to struggle a bit before throwing him over with a gator suplex, GATOR ROLL CHOKE! That's it! Chase tapped!
Winners: LIONS F.C. (Rodrigo De La Zed and Josh Cameron+) by submission (gator roll choke on Chase, :48)

Cameron got the microphone and began to run down D.R. Kongo, calling him unfit to bear the name LION and saying that he lacked both the killer instinct and the discipline for LFC. Outside, DLZ continued his assault on Landell until someone kicked him in the head from the crowd! D.R. Kongo leapt over the barrier and slid into the ring! Cameron turned just in time to avoid a Strong Kick, scrambling out of the ring. Kongo followed, but Cameron smashed the mic into his face! Cameron and DLZ made their exit, leaving Kongo, Landell, and Chase to slowly get their bearings again.

Reversal of Fortunes: Javier Sikkan vs. Andre Miller
Sikkan played tricks early, teasing tests of strength and turning them into armwringers, locking up and then making Miller bridge backward. Whenever Miller would start to get back into the game, Sikkan would wrench in another armwringer or snap off an armdrag and lock in a chinlock. Finally, Miller managed to shoot Sikkan off into the ropes and catch him with a shoulder. Miller scored a fist drop and then another. He kept the pressure on with a chinlock of his own. Sikkan bridged up and then snuck out under the hold, dragging Miller over by the arm, then popping him in the face with a dropkick when both got to their feet. Miller scrambled to the ropes to put some distance between them, but that only put him in the perfect position for a tiger feint kick! Sikkan to the top rope, HOLY DIVE -- just a feint! Miller took the bait, though, pulling himself away like a hunted animal. Sikkan laughed as he dropped from the top rope. Sikkan beckoned Miller to bring it on.

Miller slowly advanced, hands up defensively. Sikkan went to the legs with swift kicks, but left himself open for a right hand to the jaw. Sikkan reeled back into the ropes and Miller whipped him to the other side, dropping to the mat to make Sikkan jump over but instead receiving a rolling senton for his trouble! Crossface hold! Miller strained, but it seemed like he couldn't reach the ropes. Sikkan rose, pulling Miller along with him and resting Miller's throat over the rope. Slingshot over for a knee, Miller out of the way! Sikkan landed safely with one foot down. Miller slowly climbed to his feet and Sikkan rushed up to the top turnbuckle, leapt off and SPIKED MILLER WITH A TORNADO DDT! That's all she wrote! 2.999 -- foot on the ropes! Sikkan dragged Miller off the mat, PULLING PILEDRIVER! 3!
Winner: Javier Sikkan by pinfall (pulling piledriver, 9:11)

The First Challenge: Alexander Shaw vs. Dash Springfield
$10k prize is on the line
Alexander Shaw headed down to the ring with the Large Novelty Check, which he left at ringside.

Shaw and Springfield began by circling, feeling each other out. Shaw tried to lock up, but Springfield ducked under and then brushed back his hair to show how smooth he was. Shaw went for the collar-and-elbow again, and again evaded, Springfield playing to the crowd. Shaw went for a third, but was again denied, though this time he didn't hesitate to nail Springfield in the face with an elbow! Elbow! Elbow! Whipped Springfield, reversed! Crossbody block from Springfield took Shaw down! 2! Both men up, VICIOUS ELBOW SHOT BY SHAW! 2! Springfield rolled out of the ring, checking his jaw. Shaw followed him out and turned him around, only to eat a chop! A dropkick from Springfield bought him some space and he rolled back inside the ring. Shaw peeled himself off the floor and entered as well, being greeted by stomps from Springfield. Springfield dragged Shaw away from the ropes and locked in a seated armbar, working over that left arm that Shaw used to throw those elbows. Shaw got his foot on the ropes, forcing Springfield to break the hold, only for Springfield to drop a knee straight on that elbow.

Shaw climbed up to his knees. Springfield remained on the attack, wringing Shaw's arm and straining Shaw's elbow with his knee. Springfield's leverage kept Shaw on his knee, exacerbating that hold. Out of nowhere, Shaw reversed the hold into a cradle: 2! Springfield up quickly with a dropkick, but Shaw backtracked out of the way, then dove in for a grounded headlock. Springfield fought up gradually, but Shaw twisted around the back and knocked him flat on his stomach, then cinched in a bow and arrow hold! Shaw couldn't hold the stretch in for long on account of his injured arm. Shaw headed back into the corner, trying to shake his left arm out and get some feeling back into it. Springfield started to rise and Shaw caught him in the temple with a running knee lift. Shaw suplexed Springfield, shook his arm out, and covered: 2! This time, Shaw scored a snap suplex! He still couldn't capitalize immediately. 2.5!

Shaw did not look pleased as he brought Springfield back to his feet. Shaw whipped Springfield into the ropes, but Springfield caught on, which threw off Shaw's timing and allowed Springfield to dropkick Shaw off his feet, then catch him with a running neckbreaker! Springfield climbed to the second rope and jumped off for an elbow drop, but Shaw rolled out of the way. Butterfly suplex! Right into the stretch plum! Springfield refused to give. Shaw broke the hold a few times give his arm a shake before locking it back in. Eventually, Shaw pulled Springfield up to his feet, the hold still locked in, reverse suplex! Flipped him over, north-south choke! Springfield drummed his heels, inching himself toward the ropes, and finally managed to get his heel over it. Shaw backed up enough to please the referee, which let Springfield roll up. Shaw lunged in for the attack again, but Springfield pulled him face-first into the second buckle! Springfield hopped up with a second wind, hitting the ropes and coming back at full-speed! FASHION VICTIM -- NO! Shaw evaded just in time and Springfield hit the mat, spent.

As the two wrestlers struggled to get back to their feet, John Hurst led the LIONS Fight Club down to ringside. Shaw eyed the LIONS suspiciously, which gave Springfield an opening to attack Shaw's left arm, kicking it viciously, then divorce courting that arm and wrenching in an armbar! Shaw screamed in pain, but didn't give. Springfield twisted up into a seated armber, tugging back on that injured limb, but Shaw still didn't give in. Springfield slammed Shaw's arm down in frustration, taking his time to climb up to the second rope. He then shook his head and climbed one rung higher, glaring down at Shaw's arm. SPRINGFIELD LEAPT WITH THE ELBOW -- SHAW PLAYING POSSUM! FISHERMAN'S SUPLEX! 2.6! Shaw shook his arm out, allowing Springfield to get up on his own power. Boot to the stomach, TIGER DRIVER -- Springfield fights it! Right hands from Springfield rock Shaw, knocking him back step by stpe. Springfield whiffed one, EXPLODER INTO THE TURNBUCKLE! Lights out! 2.8 -- Hurst pulled the ref out of the ring! DLZ clobbered the ref with a lariat! Rageous and Cameron got into the ring, putting the boots to Shaw. TANDEM BRAINBUSTER! DLZ pulled Springfield out of the ring and held him up so that Hurst could DECAPITATE SPRINGFIELD WITH A SPINNING BACKFIST!
No Contest

Hurst grabbed the check and slid it into the ring. Rageous and Cameron held the check up between them. Hurst hit the ropes and came back with a kick that ripped the check in two! Cameron, Rageous, and DLZ continued to rip the check up as Hurst got a microphone. Hurst said that money didn't show you were the best, it didn't signify anything, and so ALPHA didn't need it. Hurst said that a belt signified you were the best, and therefore a championship belt was being sanctioned: the King of Savage title! Hurst also announced that in three weeks, A〜4: Coronation Chase would take place to crown the first champion! Hurst got in Shaw's face, telling Shaw that he was nothing but a fluke, and that Hurst would prove his dominance by becoming the first King of Savage.
