Straight out of ALPHA!

  • Last Saturday was ALPHA 12: Independence Fray, but it was also Stephen Mathers's birthday! His brother Jay did his best to wish him a happy birthday on that occasion, but the fans weren't having it, and they weren't the only ones put off by the display! A video of the altercation has been posted to the Red Mountain Casino YouTube account. VIDEO LINK: http://alpha.nearzone.com/?p=826
  • Stemming from the fallout of Mathers vs. Maloka at ALPHA 12, another A~ qualifier has been set up, this time pitting Stephen Mathers against Brian Jackson! Jackson has thrown in with Maloka, which makes him a target as far as the Lancers are concerned. This match promises to be boiling hot!
  • Two weeks in a row, Jake Landell has been unable to get the job done in the ring. He'll have a chance to change that Saturday night, but his opponent isn't someone that'll give him an easy W. Nathan Rageous has been chomping at the bit to get back on track as well after losses at ALPHA 8, 9, and 10. It'll take every ounce of guts that Landell has to beat Rageous, and that might not even be enough!
  • The A~ tournaments have always been an uphill battle for D.R. Kongo. Without the backing of LIONS F.C. or a full ALPHA contract, Kongo's been forced to battle his way into every tournament, but he's managed to grab his spots. This time, he had to go through Rodrigo De La Zed and Josh Cameron in tag action just to get to the point he's at now, a qualifying match against Javier Sikkan. This promises to be a war, and to top it all off, Kongo will have to have eyes in the back of his head as Cameron is undoubtedly gunning for him. Which of these two wrestlers will make it into their third A~?
  • Amidst all these qualifying matches, let us not forget that LFC captain John Hurst still has a guaranteed pick in his pocket! He hasn't made his choice yet, but seeing as there are no LFC members in qualifying matches (Kongo excluded), it stands to reason it'll be someone from the club. Beyond that, we have no information. Expect the big reveal at ALPHA 13!
  • If you ask WWR, he's number 25. If you ask PTC, he's number 10. And if you ask the man himself, well, "Fashion" Dash Springfield is number 1! He's come up short in past A~s, but he's not about to let that stop him. This weekend he's got a chance to qualify for A~4 in a match against newcomer Lex Fox! Fox scored a win last week and if he can repeat himself here, he will not only have a win over one of the top names in independent wrestling today, he'll be in the running to be crowned first King of Savage!
  • A~3 winner Alexander Shaw has not been in a good mood lately, and understandably so. His dealings with LIONS Fight Club captain John Hurst have become increasingly violent. Just last Saturday, he barely kept LFC from brutally beating both himself and D.R. Kongo. This week, he squares off against newcomer Andre Miller, but there's no doubt that Shaw's looking past Miller, straight onto A~4 and Hurst. "He made this personal," Shaw said. "So now, at A~4, I've only got one option: win the whole thing."
  • Things in ALPHA are heating up, and if you're an independent wrestler, you're looking for the hottest place possible!
