Give me ALPHA or give me death!
- The explosive eight-man tag match at ALPHA 16 resulted in a victory for the LIONS Fight Club, but perhaps not all was lost for Alexander Shaw’s quest for the return King of Savage title match. An interesting proposition was offered by John Hurst after the eight-man war, and a clip of the post-match proceedings was posted to the ALPHA YouTube channel. VIDEO LINK: Treaty Negotiations
- The "21st Century Superstar" Lex Fox was arguably the main reason that Shaw's team failed in their efforts to defeat the LIONS Fight Club when Fox took Barron Ulysses out of the equation due to a vicious laptop attack. Fox has made his intentions clear: to be the first person to beat Ulysses in ALPHA by pinfall or submission. Now Fox has got the big man's attention, so this week it'll be Ulysses vs. Fox, one-on-one! Can Fox expose Ulysses for the n00b he really is, or will Ulysses overload Fox's systems?
- If the diverted attention of Barron Ulysses wasn't enough bad news for Shaw's crusade, Dash Springfield will be out of town this week as he heads to the Atlantic Wrestling Club to take on Jonathan Carcer for the Just Wrestling Championship. We at ALPHA wish Dash luck in what may be the biggest match of his young career.
- Though shorthanded, Alexander Shaw and D.R. Kongo are not backing down from a fight! This week, they'll be taking on LIONS Fight Club warriors Nathan Rageous and Josh Cameron in tag competition. The issue between Kongo and Cameron has been growing for weeks and both men are eager to get their hands on one another and settle this feud between LFC trainees. "They've all been saying that I'm not fit to be a LION," Kongo said bitterly. "But all I've seen out of them is duplicity. Cowardice. Gang tactics. Which of them is man enough to stand up, one-on-one, and fight for themselves? When are they gonna stop covering for Hurst and see how much they've been cheapened?"
- Surf's up! Byron Maloka and Brian Jackson have been brought together in their conflict with the Royal Lancers (acting under the orders of Chandra Taylor), and this week they have registered themselves as a tag team with the ALPHA head office. Calling themselves the Surf Ninjas, this team will make its official debut against the pairing of Javier Sikkan and teen sensation Maurice Thompson!
- In other Byron Maloka news, his crowd-diving antics have once again netted him a fine from Red Mountain Casino brass, this time to the tune of $600. Fortunately for Maloka, his Danger Kid Fund came to the rescue, paying the fine in record time (for him). Unfortunately for him, RMC spokeswoman Chandra Taylor has vowed that Maloka will pay in other ways. We expect this means that the Mathers brothers will have some more work to do in putting down Maloka's recklessness.
- Though King of Savage John Hurst will not be defending his title against Alexander Shaw this week, he has promised that his belt will be on the line! "If anybody doubts whether or not I will be a fighting champion, let me put those doubters to rest," Hurst said from Camp Savage. "I've already proved that I am the best in ALPHA today, but I will continue to do so as often as proof is required." No word yet on who the challenger will be, though Anton Assault has assured us that they have a worthy challenger lined up.
- For the second week in a row, a new signing will make himself known in the ALPHA ring. Kevin Alloy has signed a freelance contract with ALPHA and he'll be taking on Jake Landell in his debut contest this Saturday at ALPHA 17. But, before turning his attention onto Landell, Alloy had some words for ALPHA at large and announced his less-than-peaceable intentions on YouTube. VIDEO LINK: The Coming of the Killdozer
- ALPHA is still looking for talent! Independent wrestlers across the country, across the world, look to ALPHA if you want a steady paycheck and perhaps the greatest exposure you'll ever get on the independent scene! Red Mountain Casino executives have expressed interest in tag teams, but rest assured that all applications will be considered! Send your application in today! Will grudges be settled? Will tempers continue to boil? Will we have a new King of Savage?
