I shot a man in ALPHA just to watch him die.
- The battle over the King of Savage seems far from over. Last week, only Alexander Shaw and D.R. Kongo were available to fight the LIONS Fight Club, but they still managed to win their tag match against Nathan Rageous and Josh Cameron before being run off by John Hurst and Rodrigo De La Zed. Shaw has been unreachable since, but given his actions up to this point, it's hard to believe that he will be silent come Saturday.
- It seems that both King of Savage John Hurst and LIONS Fight Club director (and ALPHA co-commissioner) Anton Assault want to demonstrate that they are committed to competition. ALPHA head office has received word that a title match will be signed for next week. No news on who will be challenging for the belt.
- Dash Springfield's Atlantic excursion was a success! At the Atlantic Wrestling Club's All Summer Long pay-per-view, Springfield defeated Jonathan Carcer to retain the Just Wrestling Championship! This weekend he'll be taking on perennial rival Javier Sikkan in singles action. Though they hold wins over one another, Springfield has never pinned Sikkan personally. Can Sikkan prove he truly is better than the Just Wrestling Champion?
- An obsession is growing in one Lex Fox. It's clear that he is becoming overwhelmed by the idea of proving himself through defeating Barron Ulysses. This week, Ulysses is pulling his weight in the war against LIONS Fight Club by squaring off with Nathan Rageous. Will looking over his shoulder cost Ulysses the match and put a stop to his rampage?
- Everybody's trying to make a name for themselves in ALPHA and Maurice Thompson is no different. So far, Thompson is one for one in AAA competition, taking the fall last week when he teamed with Javier Sikkan to take on the Surf Ninjas. This week, Thompson cuts his teeth against the LIONS Fight Club when he takes on Rodrigo De La Zed.
- Speaking of the Surf Ninjas, they debuted with a big win, but their post-match celebration was ruined by the appearance of the Royal Lancers in a violent mood. The Ninjas remain undaunted going into this week's battle with Kevin Alloy and Andre Miller, confident that they'll come out on top. Alloy's dominating performance against Doug Chase should give anyone pause, however. We'll see if the Ninjas' confidence is simply foolishness.
- The Royal Lancers will have their hands full when they take on LIONS Fight Club's Josh Cameron and the King of Savage John Hurst. Hurst told us that he has "moved on" from Alexander Shaw, that he doesn't consider Shaw a threat, and that he's concentrating on other opposition. With Hurst's eye supposedly off of Shaw and squarely on the Lancers, it will be interesting to see if the Lancers can put up a challenge. The Lancers have never managed to beat a Hurst-led LFC team. This is their chance to turn it all around.
- ALPHA is still looking for talent! Independent wrestlers across the country, across the world, look to ALPHA if you want a steady paycheck and perhaps the greatest exposure you'll ever get on the independent scene! Red Mountain Casino executives have expressed interest in tag teams, but rest assured that all applications will be considered! Send your application in today!
- At this Saturday's ALPHA 18: The Long Haul, there will be little chance for redemption. There will be five great matches, over an hour of the best wrestling you're going to see anywhere in the world today, but the feuds that have been boiling within ALPHA will only continue to heat up. Anything can happen on a night like this, so be sure not to miss it! Call 1 800 MOD ERNV or visit www.modernvision.com to order!
