Did you catch last Saturday's show? ALPHA 30: Prep Course was certainly that, a look into the future, a gaze through the mists of time at A+ II which is coming to you live this Saturday night! If you missed the last show before our big spectacular, don't fret! Just order it on demand now by calling 1 800 MOD ERNV or visiting www.modernvision.com! Charlie Reager was a bit tardy to the show last Saturday but he still made it and got us our report! Thanks, Charlie! ![]() alpha.nearzone.com ALPHA 30 Prep Course 11.20.10 There were about 375 people in attendance tonight. Nearly-All-Bournemouth Tag Team Dream Match: Royal Lancers (Jay and Stephen Mathers) vs. Buddy Saxon & Anh Karley Kompost Unfortunately, I arrived at the tail end of this match which saw Jay get Kompost up to set up the Death or Glory (powerbomb/flying leg lariat) when Steve came off the top. Steve pinned to get the win. Winners: Royal Lancers by pinfall (Death or Glory, ??:??) Frozen Fauna: Nathan Rageous vs. Alaska Jack Rageous charged in as soon as the bell sounded but Jack caught him with a right hand! Jack backed Rageous to the center of the ring before Rageous started throwing back. They both hit the ropes and smashed each other with lariats! Again! Rageous dropped to a knee and Jack staggered a few steps, shaking his head. Jack and Rageous charged at each other, RAGEOUS SPEARED JACK OUT OF HIS BOOTS! Rageous rained punches down on Alaska Jack, finding openings wherever possible, hitting ribs and face liberally. Jack eventually got to the ropes, forcing a break. Rageous waited only as long as he had to before charging back in, shooting Jack into the ropes and following hot on his heels, SHORT-RANGE JUMPING LARIAT TOOK JACK TO THE MAT! Rageous hit the ropes and snapped down an elbow! 2.5! Rageous locked Jack into a chinlock, cutting off his air and keeping him immobilized for the moment. Jack slowly started to get his bearings back, weakened from the hold but energized by desperation. He got to a knee, Rageous locked a bodyscissors on and brought Jack back to the mat with a rear naked choke! Jack struggled, but he wasn't getting out. Jack faded! Faded! The referee started the arm drop test: One! Two! ThreeNO! Jack shook his fist to show he still had life! Jack grabbed onto the bottom rope and started to pull himself up, carrying Rageous along with him. The ref tried to get Rageous off Jack's back, but Rageous wouldn't release the hold! Jack managed to get on his feet and backed into the corner, slamming Rageous's spine into the buckles! Jack stumbled out of the corner but Rageous blindsided him with a Polish hammer! Jack had pretty much nothing left in his tank after that choke, giving Rageous time to recover himself. Rageous pulled Jack up to his feet, RAMACHANDRA -- Jack blocked it! Jack landed some sluggish right hands, but Rageous put an end to that with a flurry of his own! He sent Jack into the ropes, caught him and DRILLED HIM WITH CHARYBDIS (spinning sitout spinebuster)! 3! Winner: Nathan Rageous by pinfall (Charybdis pin, 9:07) Backstage, Ed Keaton talked to the Royal Lancers. The Lancers were savage in their assessment of the Surf Ninjas. They said they'd got the Ninjas right where they wanted them and this coming Saturday they were going to put them out of their misery once and for all, no matter what it took! Kevin Alloy and Andrew Crow came down to the ring alone. Prince Matautia was accompanied by Special Envoy Patrick Feu'u, and Jasyn Baine was with Society. Outside the ring, Feu'u kept his distance from Society, obviously creeped out by them. Virtue and Vice: Kevin Alloy & Andrew Crow vs. Prince Matautia & Jasyn Baine Alloy started the match for his side and after a little deliberation, Matautia chose to face off against him. They locked up, testing each other's strength, Matautia having the height and leverage while Alloy had the sheer power. Alloy inadvertently backed Matautia into his corner where Baine blind tagged in and laid in some shots to Alloy's kidneys. Alloy retaliated with a back elbow that sent Baine to the mat! Matautia got a couple stiff right hands in before the referee ushered him out. Baine used the opportunity to hack Alloy's leg out from under him with kicks, then tagged back out to Matautia. The frantic drive to keep Alloy pinned in enemy territory drove Matautia and Baine to work relatively fluidly. Finally, Alloy shoved Baine away from him and sluggishly used the ropes to get to his feet. Baine laid rights into Alloy's cranium, but Alloy was barely feeling them! Baine experienced a split second of terror before Alloy grabbed him, RUNNING URANAGE SLAM! Slapped his hand on Baine's chest and it's over! 2.6 -- Matautia broke it up! The referee tried to interfere, but Matautia shoved him away and stomped away at Alloy. Matautia rebounded off the ropes, STALLING BIONIC ELBOW DRIVEN INTO ALLOY'S NECK! Matautia cursed at the referee in Samoan as he dragged Baine to his corner, climbed out onto the apron and tagged himself in. Now legal, Matautia began bringing the fight to Alloy once again, keeping Alloy on the mat while he dished out punishment. The bulk of Alloy made it difficult for him to move the behemoth around, but Matautia's strength compensated somewhat. Matautia started ramming his forehead into Alloy's, making Alloy stagger and fall to a knee. Matautia into the ropes, BIG HEADBUTT BOWLED ALLOY ONTO HIS BACK! 2.5 -- Crow broke it up! Crow was out onto the apron before Matautia could retaliate, so Matautia settled for dragging Alloy to the rope and choking the bigger man out with his foot. He tagged out to Baine who went to the second rope, CRASHED DOWN ON ALLOY WITH A SENTON! 2.8! Baine tagged right back out to Matautia, who cornered Alloy against the buckles and unloaded with several Mongolian chops. Alloy snapped after one, trading solid rights with Matautia and managing to get a few steps out of the corner until Matautia drilled his knee into Alloy's gut. Tag back out to Baine who shot into the ring, bounced off the ropes, ALLOY CUT HIM IN HALF WITH A BRUTAL-LOOKING FOOTBALL TACKLE! Alloy rested on his back for several seconds, but the urgency of the situation had him up before too long, slowly making it back to his corner. Baine is about to tag as well, but Crow slapped Alloy's hand first! Crow charged across the ring and elbowed Matautia off the apron, then hauled Baine up and SMASHED HIM WITH A BIG SPINEBUSTER! 2.8! Crow wasted no time, peeling Baine up and throwing him overhead with a saito suplex! 2.8 -- ropes! Matautia started to climb back onto the apron but Crow took him out with a baseball slide! Crow exchanged heated words with Feu'u, turned around and ate a nasty dropkick courtesy of Baine! Baine shouted for Matautia to get back to his feet as he tried to control Crow with a front facelock, but Crow bull rushed Baine into the corner! Crow unloaded with a flurry of punches and kicks, making Baine cover up under the assault. Crow hooked Baine and DRILLED HIM WITH A FISHERMAN BUSTER! 2.6 -- Feu'u pulled the ref out of the ring! The referee argued feverishly with Feu'u who argued back with similar vigor. On the other side of the ring, Barron Ulysses pulled Alloy off the apron and Javier Sikkan hit Alloy in the neck with his cane! Crow was staring incredulously at the ref and Feu'u when Ulysses got into the ring, spun him around, SWUNG HIM ONTO HIS SHOULDERS FOR A MASSIVE POWERBOMB -- destroyed him! Once Ulysses got out of the ring, Feu'u turned the ref back in. Baine on the top rope! DIVING SENTON SPLASH! 3! Winner: Prince Matautia & Jasyn Baine+ by pinfall (diving senton, 15:11) On the floor, Fay busied herself clipping off a piece of Alloy's hair! Society made it back up the ramp, Fay joyously showing off the clipping she got to the crowd. Backstage, Ed Keaton asked Canada's Finest about their upcoming match against the Creel Boys on A+ II. Eddie Traveller was characteristically arrogant, constantly downplaying the risk his team faced and calling C.F. the greatest team in ALPHA. Backcountry Brawl: Alexander Shaw vs. Sylvester Creel Creel launched himself at Shaw with right hands and Shaw was only happy to respond by brawling back in kind. Shaw's size advantage helped him gain the upper hand against Creel and soon he was working over Creel's neck with a front facelock. Creel got free by shooting Shaw into the ropes, SPINNING WHEEL KICK -- Shaw ducked under! Shaw bounced off the ropes and CREAMED CREEL WITH A LARIAT! 2! Shaw pulled Creel back to his feet quickly and dumped him on his back with a Northern Lights suplex! 2.5! Shaw was relentless, locking in a buffalo sleeper and doing his best to wring the life out of Creel. Creel didn't quit and eventually Shaw released the hold, taking a short breather. Creel slowly got to his feet and Shaw came back at him with forearm shots. He whipped Creel into the turnbuckle and followed him in, Creel barely ducked out of the way and JUMPING NECKBREAKER TO SHAW! 2! Creel grabbed the top rope, ARABIAN MOONSAULT -- smashed Shaw's ribs! 2.5 -- ropes! Creel scaled the ropes, DIVING FROG SPLASH FROM THE TOP -- Shaw rolled out of the ring and Creel ate the mat! Shaw recoverd on the outside until the referee counted six. Creel had backed into the corner, clutching his ribs following that failed risk. Shaw marched right in, but Creel threw kicks to stall him, then opened up with a European uppercut, fighting through the pain every inch of the way as he tried to keep Shaw off balance. Creel hit the ropes and DECAPITATED SHAW WITH A CLUBBING LARIAT TAKEDOWN! Creel quickly brought Shaw back to his feet, THROWING FISHERMAN'S SUPLEX! Creel floated over into a pin: 2.6! Creel put some distance between himself and Shaw, beckoning Shaw to his feet. Creel charged in, SMASHED SHAW WITH A YAKUZA KICK -- Shaw dodged the kick! Sizzling chop to Creel's chest followed by a brutal elbow shot to the cranium! SHAW DUMPED CREEL ON HIS HEAD WITH AN EXPLODER! Creel is done for! 2.9! Shaw breathed out his frustration for a second before turning Creel over and locking in a Boston crab! Creel fought it, scratching the mat and yelling in pain. He struggled to pull himself to the ropes and eventually got them. Undeterred, Shaw pulled Creel to his feet and SPIKED HIM WITH A DDT! Deep cover: 2.99! This time, Shaw argued the count briefly with the ref, giving Creel a short time to recover his senses. Shaw was back on task in a hurry, dragging Creel to the center of the ring again, this time for a spinning toe hold. Creel kicked his way free, but the damage was done to his leg. Shaw pulled Creel to his feet, Creel fired back with a chop! Another! A right hand! He hobbled then forced himself to run the ropes, SHAW CLOBBERED HIM WITH A JUMPING KNEE! Shaw pointed to the sky, "Falcon arrow!" Shaw hooked Creel up, Creel countered into a tight small package! 2.8! Both men were on their feet quickly but Shaw mowed Creel down with an elbow just as fast! Creel was back up and Shaw railroaded him into the turnbuckle. In the heat of the moment, Shaw played to the crowd and then went to the second rope for ten punches. He only got to six before Creel hooked Shaw's legs and CARRIED HIM OUT OF THE CORNER FOR A RUNNING POWERBOMB -- Shaw blasted Creel between the eyes with the point of his elbow! Creel fell over backwards hard with Shaw's weight crushing right down on top of him! Shaw was in motion almost immediately, peeling Creel off the mat, hooking him up, HOISTED CREEL HIGH AND SPIKED HIM DOWN WITH THE FALCON ARROW! 3! Winner: Alexander Shaw by pinfall (falcon arrow, 13:28) Jonas Creel checked on his brother after the match. Canada's Finest tore down the ramp! Jonas swung at Eddie Traveller, but Traveller ducked and Jean LaFrench clocked Jonas with the Canadian flag! Traveller on the top, waiting for Sylvester to get up, DIVING SHOULDERBLOCK! Canada's Finest made their way out, waving the flag and taunting the Creels. Kevin Alloy stormed around backstage until Ed Keaton caught up to him and asked him what was wrong. Alloy verbally tore down Society, telling the world in no uncertain terms that he was going to beat the piss out of Barron Ulysses at A+ II and enjoy every moment! The Legend, the Chicken, and the LIONS: LIONS F.C. (John Hurst and Josh Cameron) vs. Dash Springfield & El Gallito Springfield called out Hurst to start things off, but after a little teasing of acceptance by Hurst, Cameron got into the ring. Cameron was down to business immediately, putting Springfield off balance with his early aggression. Cameron managed to wrestle Springfield down, getting a few one counts despite Springfield's inspired resistance. Cameron ended up with Springfield in a side arm hold, both men standing. Cameron tried to swing around and bring Springfield to the mat, but Springfield kept running to stay on his feet until he could roll through and use both feet to kick Cameron away. Cameron rolled to his feet and ran straight into a big dropkick from Springfield! Springfield strutted and played to the crowd as Cameron got back to his feet. Cameron looked back at his corner but Hurst shook his head. Cameron and Springfield circled again, locked up, and began trying to outwrestle one another. Cameron got the upper hand for a moment, but Springfield managed to counter into a hammerlock. Cameron faked left, spun around Springfield's back and HIKED HIM HIGH FOR A HUGE GERMAN SUPLEX -- drilled him! Cameron didn't let go, rolling through for GERMAN SUPLEX NUMBER TWO! Bridge! 2.6! Cameron kept the pressure on by locking in a camel clutch, wearing down Springfield. Gallito begged for the tag, his torso nearly entirely hanging over the top rope. Springfield crawled to the ropes, laboring for every inch. He was almost there, fingertips just an inch from his goal, when Cameron released the hold and pulled Springfield to his feet. He sent Springfield into the ropes, CREAMED SPRINGFIELD WITH A YAKUZA KICK -- Springfield ducked! Stopped on a dime, dropkick to the chest took Cameron to the mat! Springfield hung onto the ropes for a breather. Cameron was up quick enough and came right in, Springfield swung around and rolled him up! 2.5! Again, Cameron was on his feet like lightning, a shocked expression on his face. Springfield wasn't there, having lunged for his corner -- tag out to Gallito! Gallito vaulted into the ring, rolled under a lariat by Cameron, PELE KICK SMACKED CAMERON IN THE FACE! Gallito was fired up, playing to the crowd for a bit. Cameron looked over at Hurst again, but again Hurst denied the tag. Cameron rushed at Gallito, clubbing him with a forearm to cancel his premature celebration. He whipped Gallito into the ropes, reversed, Gallito snapped Cameron over with an armdrag! Another armdrag! A Japanese armdrag! Cameron rushed in and Gallito sidestepped him, Cameron bounced off the ropes and RAN SMACK INTO A SPINNING BACK ELBOW FROM GALLITO! 2.7! Gallito beckoned Cameron to his feet and tagged him with a dropkick to the temple! 2.8! Gallito continued to control the match, using his momentum to its fullest as he tried to put Cameron down with every trick he could think of in quick succession. Cameron caught a kick to the side, peppered Gallito with jabs and then swept him to the mat. Turned Gallito over into a half crab! Gallito stretched for the ropes, trying to pull himself toward them. Cameron twisted and converted the hold into an STF, stressing Gallito's neck! Gallito suffered, struggled, forcing Cameron to release that submission as well. CAMERON HOOKED GALLITO FOR THE GATOR ROLL CHOKE -- Gallito mule kicked and spun to the side to break the hold! Cameron rose up, flabbergasted. Gallito charged in, tackled Cameron into the turnbuckles, and BRAINED HIM WITH A JUMPING ENZUIGIRI! Gallito out onto the apron, SLINGSHOT GUILLOTINE LEGDROP! 2.99 -- foot on the ropes! Gallito got the crowd clapping, laying in wait for Cameron to get up. Gallito stepped up on Cameron's knee and DELIVERED A MURDEROUS ENZUIGIRI -- Cameron ducked! Ankle lock, no a half crab, Cameron released that as well, desperately making it to his corner and slapping Hurst on the arm. Hurst slowly got into the ring, cracking his neck and working out his arms. Gallito rushed in heedlessly and aimed a kick for Hurst's head, blocked, Hurst returned with a shot to the throat! Hurst with a right to the jaw, BLASTED GALLITO WITH A SPINNING BACKFIST! Gallito stumbled back against the ropes and Hurst followed, GALLITO SNAPPED OFF A SUPERKICK! Rocked, Hurst dropped to a knee. GALLITO WITH SUPERKICK NUMBER TWO -- Hurst caught the foot, turned it into an ankle lock! Now Springfield was desperate for the tag, but Hurst wasn't making it easy. Gallito eventually pushed his way up until he was standing on one foot and kangaroo kicked his way free! Both Hurst and Gallito tagged out, sending Springfield and Cameron screaming in at each other, SPRINGFIELD WITH A LETHAL DROPKICK! Springfield pulled Cameron up, DASHING DESIGN -- connected! Hurst ran down the apron at Springfield but Springfield vaulted over early leaving Hurst to collide with the turnbuckle post! Springfield crossed the ring, hit the corner, sprinted back and DRILLED CAMERON WITH THE FASHION VICTIM -- Hurst pulled Cameron out of the ring in the nick of time! Hurst gathered the King of Savage title and he and Cameron headed back up the ramp! Springfield taunted Hurst and Cameron from the ring while the referee counted them out. Winners: Dash Springfield & El Gallito by count-out (17:31) |
