[San Antonio, TX] It appears that once again, we will remember the Alamo. Official word has finally been released that Alamo Championship Wrestling, or ACW, will return to action Saturday, December 4th, 2010 after another lengthy layoff between events. ACW, best known as a developmental promotion for the globally known Universal Wrestling Federation, has been on hiatus since May of this year. The company has had several breaks in action since opening its doors in 2006, but will once again begin holding shows next month. ACW has in the past had a weekly television program on a local San Antonio channel, but it does not appear to be in the cards this time. "Hellraiser" Tom Landis, the owner of ACW, was quick to address the situation of ACW's roster. "Not that long ago, all remaining talent deals in ACW came to an end. The last few ran out at the start of November 2010, and everyone who had been signed to ACW was free to explore options elsewhere. I wanted to start fresh when we come back this time, and while I invited everyone to return there were certainly a few that had mixed feelings about remaining in ACW given it's history of hiatuses. You can be sure that the next time you see Alamo Championship Wrestling it'll be with people who genuinely want to be here and want to see ACW succeed." No information about who may or may not have resigned with ACW has been released, and Landis seems to be keeping everything under wraps. But with the first show just under a week away, it won't be long before we witness the next chapter in the legacy of ACW. |
