Not long after the PPV, in an AIM conversation, the fed head says to me "its time for you to start putting people over."

The only other time I can remember hearing a story like that was from the handler of Scott "The Fop" Rogers when he left the IIWF. He said Jividen basically told him that during the Genesis angle he'd gotten wins over people he shouldn't have, and now was going to start losing to people he shouldn't to "balance things out". Again, talk about de-motivating.

After losing to said Genesis member Requiem, JJ wrote to tell me "I see your character as someone who is always a heartbeat away from the big title, but never actually wins it." This to me sounded like "I intend to tease your cock multiple times, but never actually let you shoot your wad.", and had the intended motivation effect thereof.

Hell, the IIWF might still be around today if he was made head writer instead of head booker.

And Jividen was J'ster?? Or is there more than one JJ?

The man could definitely write, there's no question (check out whatifwrestling.blogspot.com for a truly ambitious project of Jivvy's). But yeah, his booking left a lot to be desired sometimes.

I think this is where I utter the words "Meatman Challenge" and Mike Sonby has a nervous shiver go down his spine somewhere in Cleveland. Hey, does it work like Beetlejuice?

MEATMAN CHALLENGE!

MEATMAN CHALLENGE!

MEATMAN CHALLENGE!

"In today's news, a man had a nervous breakdown in Hopkins Airport and had to be tasered. Witnesses report him screaming 'Damn you, Beeby...damn you and your little big screen TV too!'

His wife told reporters 'I'm not surprised, to be honest. Mike is a glutton for punishment. He's an admitted Cubs fan after all. He was bound to snap...'"
And here's where I pretend to be a writer...

By my count of the "clang!" sound effects, Vasquez hit Epstein with 16 chairshots at the end of Gold Rush. Not to mention Epstein was knocked unconscious before that by the combined might of a Big City Driver and a City of Angels within seconds of each other. In their first match, Vasquez broke one of Epstein's fingers and it was implied that he might've broken his ribs and jaw.

Yet...the limo was the worst beating he's ever had?

I'm gonna need to up my game. <_<

Best foreshadowing ever.

If by obscurity, you mean hobbling around backstage making idle threats! :boxing:
