============================== BASTARD STAMPEDE MONDAY FIGHTS ============================== October 11th, 2010 Stampede Arena in El Paso, TX ============================== The show continued its string of show opening matches by featuring Bastard Stampede Women's Champion THE GOBLIN QUEEN defending her title in a handicap match against AURORA and LUNA CORDOVA, otherwise known as the NEW TMK. The Cordovas clearly outran and out maneuvered the defending champion but once the Queen managed to get her hands on either one of them, the beat down began. Soon enough, they were beaten so ruthlessly, that the Kittens couldn't run anymore and the Queen pinned them both after powerbombing one on top of the other. Afterwards, The Goblin Queen tried to disfigure both women but GLORIA BUTLER and TRACY SAXON ran down to prevent the Queen from doing so. Butler and the Queen brawled heavily before security arrived to separate all participating parties. Backstage, several wrestlers opted to confront "KING TEXAS" JAMES MASTERSON about his comments from the previous Monday Fights. None of them took to being called trash and were quite ready to get physical about it. Masterson shoved them aside and kept moving. Before the wrestlers could attack, Commissioner Stephanie Harper and a handful of security personnel showed up and laid down the law. Thankfully, things ended peacefully. After a short match that saw IZUMI SATO defeat ALICE DEVLIN, the cameras went backstage again to see #1 Contender SID "SLASH" JOHNSON standing toe to toe with Bastard Stampede Frontier Union Champion THE BURNING MAN. The remaining members of SCORCHED EARTH surrounded Johnson, ready to lay down a beating of biblical proportions. Luckily for Johnson though, JACOB ENOS and THE GAMBLERS appeared to even the odds. Rather than let things escalate, The Burning Man called his troops off and left. Enos and The Burning Man shared some harsh words before Scorched Earth departed. With things calmed, Johnson thanked Enos who replied that it was merely for the greater good. Clearly, Enos still wasn't pleased with Johnson's treatment of Gloria Butler. Later in the evening, SID "SLASH" JOHNSON faced JEFFERSON "SKY SLASHER" MCKEID of Scorched Earth. With there no need for The Burning Man to call the troops off, the resulting match was brutal on both sides. With memories of earlier in the show, McKeid and Johnson held no love for one another and let the other have it. However, there was someone else in the building who had an issue to settle. JONAS "DUTCH" ELM arrived and got on the house microphone and called McKeid a coward for sabotaging his own 2X4 team when facing Elm. McKeid's natural response was to tell Elm to go [MEEP] himself. This resulted in Elm quickly becoming angry and running after McKeid. The two fought ringside, prompting the referee to disqualify Johnson for Elm's interference. Johnson happily let Elm try to destroy McKeid. After all, it was one less obstacle to deal with on his way to facing The Burning Man. An old Bastard Stampede rivalry continued as JACOB ENOS and KARA "GECKO" TAWN teamed to face THE BURNING MAN and BLACK MADISON. Things were heated as expected and it didn't take long for the remaining members of both THE GAMBLERS and SCORCHED EARTH to come ringside. After a brawl broke out between the non-match participants, things became even more hectic inside the ring. Once the referee ejected anyone and everyone not meant to be there, Kara Tawn shocked Black Madison with Jacob Enos' DoubleJack finisher and covered for the pin. The Burning Man came to make the save but was derailed by an oncoming Enos. The referee counted the three for Tawn, giving her team a hard fought victory. As The Burning Man and Black Madison retreated up the aisle, Kara and Jacob shared a celebratory kiss, delighting the crowd. Already charged up, the crowd let loose once they heard it was time for the main event. They were treated to yet another first round 2X4 Tournament match. On one side, the team of DARK SABRE, TRAPPER WARD, "THE RAGING BUFFALO" OLAF FUB and WIDOWMAKER BLACKROCK teamed to face THE SHIFTER, TENMA AKAMU, TAKASHI KOMATSU, and DAMIEN "THE OMEN" WILLIAMS. Before Fub's team was completely in the ring, the crowd was "graced" with the presence of "RIGHTEOUS" ROBIN RHOADES. Once again she ran down TAYLOR MACKENZIE and swore that Olaf would destroy The Omen. Soon after, cameras picked up Rhoades whispering to Fub that "he'd better destroy that masked freak or else!" Once the match started proper, eliminations came quickly. Blackrock fell to the overwhelming power of TENMA AKAMU and Dark Sabre managed to eliminate Takashi Komatsu after some dazzling martial arts style kicks. From there, eliminations were hard to come by as both teamed worked fairly well together. However, the trend was broken once Damien Williams capitalized on a Olaf Fub mistake and pinned the Raging Buffalo. Fub pulled Williams out of the ring, causing The Omen to be eliminated by countout. Unsatisfied with Fub's failure to do anything, Rhoades fired Fub as her bodyguard on the spot. Fub really could have cared less. This left only The Shifter and TENMA Akamu to face Dark Sabre and Trapper Ward. Ward was the next to go as The Shifter blinded him with white powder behind the referee's back. Unable to avoid attacks, the Shifter knocked Ward out cold with a DDT and pinned him. The Shifter and Akamu double-teamed the former West Texas Champion Dark Sabre but nothing could put him away. Sabre managed to topple TENMA out of the ring and concentrate on The Shifter. After a Shining Wizard from Sabre, the Shifter was out by pinfall. This managed only to make TENMA Akamu angry, and even Sabre knew that it wasn't wise to make TENMA angry. TENMA devastated Sabre thoroughly from there, however the masked man simply could not be put away. Sabre fought back heroically and after some powerful strikes to the big man's neck and head, Sabre squeaked out a pinfall, but only by the thinnest of margins. Everything I learned about soccer, I learned from Dro. You are to refer to Katie as "The Duchess of Der Basterdmusen" as of June 2014. She'll get angry if you don't. You've been warned. | |
