Well...This was something I was going to start sooner or later and today I figured I'd start with the faq for the thing. The first show will be done soon as well so that'll be cool and I hope that you enjoy it have a good one ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- North American Women's Wrestling Federation Introduction ----------------- So you are probably looking at this as a "What in the world" kind of thing right? Fair is fair and you are entitled to do that. This FAQ is here to explain the idea behind the fed ,what its going to be and how its going to work throughout the time that it exists. With that said let's get started shall we? The federation has its home office in Philadelphia ,PA and its roster isn't that big at the current. about 10-15 wrestlers at the moment and some freelancers to help out every so often that you'll meet over time. The idea behind this promotion is a simple one: To showcase the best wrestling product in North America and show what women can do when they aren't worried about being a part of a soap opera just for the sake of ratings. I've seen one too many promotions where stuf like that detracts from the product and then you wonder what the purpose of the promotion is. The idea is that to showcase the women at their best and prove its not all about the drama. Now that I got that out of the way allow me to introduce myself and explain my role with the promotion: My name is Joshua Curtis and I am the owner of the place. I have a right hand man that will oversee the wrestling product at the shows as my Commissioner so I will not be seen a whole lot on the programmes that you see. I wanted to open this place as my dream promotion and now that I have some free time that is what I'm doing. I'm hoping to make this an enjoyable experience and just have fun with it honestly The Commissioner is a man named Eric Daniels and yes he used to be the Commissioner for another promotion but things didn't work out there and still had the passion for it so he came to me when I told him that I was going to open the place and I gave him the position. My only stipulation for him was that he didn't interfere in what the wrestlers did unless physically provoked and he told me that wouldn't be a problem. You see we have the same vision for what we want the promotion to become and that will play out over time. So since you met our Front Office allow me to introduce you to the announce team that will be at each show: First up we have Molly Bridges. She's a 21 year old out of Bridgeport ,Connecticut and someone that is very much knowledgable about the business. Her father,Jack Bridges, was a champion in 3 different provinces in Canada as well as a champ in England. Molly is a woman that is isn't the innuendo laden kind of commentator and someone that does interviews at ringside occasionally with the talent. Next is her broadcast partner Valerie Lane. Val wrestled for 4 years in Japan ,London and independents in the US before an accident sidelined her and made her have to retire. She is a good friend of Molly's but sometimes has to play the "villian" when it comes to the point/counterpoint banter that they have been known to have during and after the shows. Val has been known to be somewhat confrontational with wrestlers that she can't stand as well as manager because of some past experiences but tries her best to remain professional and unbiased. She is 5 years older than Molly(26) and orginally lived in St. John's Newfoundland before relocating to Wilmington ,DE after getting hired as the colour analyst for the fed. So how about our ring announcer? Well her name is Belinda Adams. She was found by me when one day I was searching the web looking for a good woman that could help get the talent over by ring intos and her voice and energy were definitely something that caught the interest of myself and Eric. She is from Portland ,Oregon and 19 years old(yes we like young talent if you haven't figured that out yet) and when she came to us she promised she wouldn't let us down and we like that in people. So since I introduced you to them how about the zebras? We have three refrees that we hired and none are above the age of 30(Fun fact: Youngest is 22 years of age) but all are the kind of people that will follow the rulebook accordingly although at least one has a tendency to be a bit more lax with it. The referees are as follows: Kimberly Watkins: 27 years old/Ireland/Rigid with the rulebook Ami Yoshimoto: 29 years old/Japan/Tends to not count people out as much as she does follow the action where it goes Brenda Blake: 22 years old/USA/This woman is like Ami but also she'll tend to let things go until they get too out of hand in the ring So since I keep mentioning the rulebook let's go over the rules for this promotion shall we? Rules -------- 1. Time Limits: Opening Matches have 15 minute limits unless its a TV title match then you knock 5 off of that for 10 minutes Mid card matches are 20 minutes with Upper mids getting 25 for their time limits Main Events get 45 Minutes or "TV Time Remaining" In the event a match goes the time limit it ends in a draw. In the event of a match have a set "fall" stipulation such as 2 out of 3 or 3 out of 5 that rule is waved it must have a winner by any of the four "natural" ways(Pinfall ,submission ,Count Out ,DQ) 2. Title Changes: A title can change hands 3 ways in this promotion and they are Pinfall ,Submission or DQ. The reason that a DQ can change the title is because too often a champion can do something deliberately to keep their belt and rob the fans of a "definitive end". By doing this you'll know that there must be a winner in a title match 3. Count Out Rule: Most feds have a 10 count but here we give 20 seconds to get back in the ring. If a wrestler(or wrestlers) don't get back in the ring in 20 seconds then the match ends in a draw 4. Ways to be DQed: Well there's the standard "Choke past 5 seconds" deal but we all knew that one right? Other ways include throwing someone over the top rope(unless its a battle royal or a match where its stipulated that its legal), standing on the top turnbuckle for longer than 5 seconds ,hitting someone with a foreign object(unless no DQ is in effect) and manager/stable interference. Again in title matches a DQ can and will change the title if the champ is the one causing it. 5. Overtime: This rule only applies to matches that have time limits or "fall rules". In the event the time limit expires and a match is tied in falls the match will go "Sudden Death" and the winner is the person to score a decision no matter what! So now that you know the main rules of the promotion the only thing left to do will be to show you what the fed has to offer right? Well the fed will operate generally every few days for a show. We may start in small venues like Armories and places of that nature but over time you'll see it grow to bigger and better venues I promise. The main programme is called "Takedown" and was given a 90 minute block of programming(plus overrun) for when it airs. You may see "Up Close" style shows for the fed on occasion but for the most part it will be either a 90 Minute "Takedown" or a 2 hour supercard. My name is Joshua Curtis and the first show will be out soon. See you then
