I can't help but throw my two cents in here because well.... Bell is pretty much responsible for me even being around for as long as I have. My first real chance came in the early AWMC days. I was very fortunate to have worked with an amazing group of handlers and Bell was the first fed head to really get behind me and force me to sink or swim. I have forever since been an advocate of Bell, he is far and away my favorite been my favorite fed head and the one guy I will drop everything for and join his league no matter what. And as far as PVW.... Its where Chase (and myself) won a heavyweight title, and had my best run. Brian likes Chase for some reason, and pushed him pretty hard and I think I did pretty well. Its the most fun I've had since the early days... So yeah, Brian's the fucking man. Rob too. That is all... Dan |

I concur on Joe Gonzo. Social Distortion ranks as one of my favorite teams ever and Yetman was awesome. And on topic, PVW remains one of my personal e-w disappointments because everything is so personal and nuanced, and there's so much backstory to EVERYTHING that it's hard to bring someone new in and get things rolling. It's like where UEW and WWO collide, and as someone who was in UEW for maybe 3 months total (Masked Krishna, hello) and didn't even know WWO existed (e-w's true secret society), it's been difficult trying to break in and make things stick with someone new. But I'm jealous of the awesome storylines, so I keep trying. Character #4, soon to be seen! |

I actually had the same issues/worry when I first started in PVW, especially with AsH coming from the wasteland... but it truly is a fed with a lot of great handlers who are more than willing to open up and help include new guys. Plus, Moze, Flouze and Bell regularly school me on PVW history, so I get a good idea of why this means that and whatnot. |

Haha Masked Krishna ... Did you also bring him to one of Hoppers early feds? Name sounds really familiar. Don't sell yourself short. Gavin does hold spots in some pretty important timelines and stories even if he left and turned into a superstar right after leaving us!

[/QUOTE] Heh, I think Don and Jer had WMI at the time--even though we had Tom with Colby no less. No I think you were part of what was New Alliance but then Mark and Dwayne screamed like small children so we had to change the name to something else. I think it was Berger, Trev, Tom, Dave, you and I but I could be very wrong. Really that was my favorite stable. Not that we did well or anything like that but because I finally got to do a stable with some of my longest and truest friends in this game. |

I'll throw my stuff in late... I started here when Pick told me that some of the WWO guys (Moze, Briffy, Pick, Poe) were in this fed called PVW that Bell ran. Moze had tried to get me to join some other fed a while back that I think Bell ran based out of New Orleans?? I don't know... but I didn't have the time then. So I entered with Jeremiah Page who was the unmasked verision of the character I had in Jer's WANA fed and ran with him but didn't like it too much so decided to enter with Detson. My original plan with Detson (and one I never got approval for) was to hid him under a mask of one of Bruffy's old character's Holy Roller and have him come in as Hayes' spiritual advisor or something and uneventually unmasking. But Bell wanted me against Hayes so I came in as a face trying to "advise" Tom Landis on how to get past Hayes and eventually fueding with Hayes himself. I think I was suppose to win the American Title at some point so Hayes could go after the World Title but then things got in the way and I was going to drop out only to change my mind at the last second. So I dropped the match to Hayes and lost my career on a DQ and was set to come back as a bitter, angry heel looking to destroy the PVW. During the hiatus, I constantly posted on the DB saying Detson took the fed over never really knowing if the fed was going to close and basically just fooling around and when the fed came back it became his gimmick. |

PVW for a long time was a fed I enjoyed reading but did not want to handle in. Mostly because the fed was chockfull of so many great characters, handlers and writing I really didn't see what i could add to it whatsoever and I did not want to mess up in a fed that I enjoyed so much. It was also a fed, like most feds, that I was forever behind in in terms of reading shows. I remember when I finished reading the first cycle through the Rise From the Ashes PPV.. When I finished reading that cycle they were well on their way to PPV number 2. But I was also really blown away. The cycle that really comes to mind for me though was the first Boiling Point cycle. Some know that my favorite cycle of any fed I had read was the one and only cycle of Pinnacle Pro Wrestling. PVW's Boiling Point cycle was the closest I felt any fed ever got to a cycle like that one. It took Bell forever and a day to get me to handle in PVW. My first attempt was with a tag team I handled in OMGW, Al Tonka & Greg Bull. In OMGW they were called Addiction but here we called them Apache's Blood. Moze and me even talked about doing a Livestock & Gutch vs Apaches Blood feud. But then my mother passed away and I dropped out of e-w altogether for several months so that never really got off the ground. Then when I was ready to come back to e-w there was some talk of using Antonio Morientes, my guy in HUGE, in PVW but then HUGE came back and I decided to keep him in HUGE. But there was this other fed that I handled in with some rookie character that I had plans to put in the Senor Cloak mask and run somewhere. I wanted to run him in IPW, I even e-mailed Fletch about it but I never heard back from him. Bell sprung on it, was happy to have me do it in PVW and thus Senor Cloak Dos found his way to PVW. There was an idea for a while that I would handle all the jobbers in PVW but thankfully Bell and me came to our senses not to do that cos that would've been rough. I really, really, really enjoy PVW. Back in 1999-2000 when I was in the WWA, part of the nostalgia I always paint that fed with is because it was a fun as heck fed to handle in and despite some silly polictical stuff it was a bunch of really talented writers often writing really bizarre and insane illogical things. It was a fun community. After the WWA, NEO became my e-w home basically and it took a while for me to settle in it but that place was alot of fun too. I have skipped around alot of places since all of that but I really feel in UWF and especially in PVW, I finally have my e-w home again. A bunch of great writers, fun folks, friendly faces, all coming up with stories and laughs. And I even "run" the ASLL thing for PVW now so I am really enjoying my time here. Here's to hoping PVW continues on another four or more years and we all have fun doing it in that time. |

Yes ... While Dro hasn't been been active for four years with us ... I'm pretty sure there are very few who have read as many PVW words as him. |

I am, I lost most of everything from back in the day (though I did thankfully find an archive of the majority of OSW stuff)... shoot it to me when you get a chance. |
