absolutely. Great strategy with regards to telling me what story you wanted to express. I hope I gave you both what you wanted, because it was a hell of a fun match to write. I know I'm not great at the "Color" commentary, preferring to use that role to draw more of analysis on maneuvers and their affects... I just can't seem to capture the "root for the bad guy, jeer the good guy" mentality alot of people want. I tend to go more the Jesse Ventura route.

Color commentary that adds nothing to the match is annoying. Nothing wrong with a few tasteless jokes here and there, but the color commentator trying to get himself over at the expense of what's going on sucks.

And with that, let the Soundbite/Todd Michaelson bashing begin!

I try not to be over bearing with Fred Hoyle in the matches unless there is a big reason to call for it. I attempt to do his damage in between matches to avoid taking away anyones heat.

Sometimes I do get carried away.

This makes me now very curious to see which way Fred leans when calling Uncle Frank versus Spectre. :P

I love writing commentary.

Mainly because I can channel my hatred of Michael Cole into something positive.

I remember my favorite matches to write with Sam Bradley and Mickey Ralph were heel vs. heel just to have Sam change sides every time his "favorite" would get an advantage.

FH: Who are you rooting for, ChiP?

CL: ... I never ...

FH: JUST PICK ONE!

CL: I ... guess then I would have to say Spectre since he isn't associated with Todd Johnstone.

FH: Fine, I will root for Uncle Frank then!

CL: I actually ...

FH: DON'T DO THIS TO ME!

Actually, Spectre did work with Johnstone for a bit... this match is tearing PVW apart!

Yup.

Todd represented every base emotion that Spectre could think of, so he joined up with Todd for a little bit...but then wandered off.

Todd's ideas and his weren't compatible.

Of course, you could always have a minor emergency and have Matthew Anderson fill in for Chip just for this match.

Or go back to the madcap way UEW used to do it and bring back individual commentators. :)

E-wrestling is the only place a 3-man booth works. JAM, Sal Summiter and Mick Mann forever! :P

Altho if I had to pick one I say TEMB becomes a permanent fixture in the PVW offices :P

A list off the top of my head of folks who've worked with Todd Johnstone:

Tyrone Hayes
Gibson Hayes
Latex Lex
Herscher von Donkerhardt
Rob James
Tracy Hudson
Johnny Detson
Nate Knowitall
PAIN
Spectre
Derek Weaver
Livestock & The Gutch
Warren Hayes
Ultimate Thrasher
Frank Knight

There are probably others but those are the ones I can rattle off with no problem.
