Side note! I meant to write this in the e-mail as well but didn't. As a sort-of review, I wanted to challenge you all to open a text window while you're reading and do a "liveblog" of your reactions to the show as you're reading it. I thought that would be a fun thing to look at after the dust settles. |

I will not post all my thoughts, since I probably need to censor myself at some points. However, here's a couple choice observations... -Wait a minute...Skywalker Jones uses a move called the Razzle Dazzle. This is some Widowmaker/End Game shit right here. -jagger's dad reffing Jagger's match is bigger collusion than David Stern owning an NBA franchise. _SUltan! Iran numba1!! -Craven? CRAVEN!?!?! CRAVEN!!! -Craven? Why the hell would anyone listen to Craven!?!?!? -FUCK THE LYNCHES WTF WAS THAT AHSKLFHKSDNFKJSDJFSDF FCK YOU BLUE AHHHHHHH WTF THEY HAVENT PADI ANY DUES FG<SHNDKFHEWRIFJKFVNSJKDFHNC FCUK FSKLFJKLSDJ BISHPOS -Hey Juan, way to let your good friend Alex Martinez get the shit kicked out of him earlier in the night. Just as planned. Fuck Amart! #MademejobtotheBombers |

Buse, stop stealing Terry's log in. Gonna have to let that all sink in. Probably gonna need a re-read/closer read tomorrow. I detect a changing of the guard in the heel camps though. |

Well you did go ahead and post it on the same day that Daniel Bryan broke the interwebs! Some random thoughts that aren't all tied up in a nice pretty bow yet: * Gordon factual botch: BB's were suspended before SuperClash II, at Battle on the Bayou. Guess Cletus was wrong about the locker room cancer destroying the organization? * I have a hard time believing that Craven was the choice for the Dragon from Day 1. Looking forward to hearing the whole Black Scorpionesque backstory someday! * With increasing tensions in American/Iranian relations, Blue and Jeremy will be fighting an uphill battle getting Sultan over as a face. * On top of congratulations, I see now that there's no chance in hell that both the AWA and Blue's sanity both survive 2012. Something's gonna give!

He was. This was his angle. Moze is the one who asked me to have Monosso help him. |

Yup, sure is and I sure did. After which I was given a gag order before the whole roster found out. Me and secrets? We're strangers. I am so glad this turned out so well in spite of Terry's Buse-ing and, save my loose lip problems at the beginning, nobody figured it out. And the AWA gets a little bit greener.

Actually, a year is about right for a Moze angle. As my message to him on AIM said, "Goddamn. Didn't see THAT coming." Still true. Goddamn, |

Here is my notes up until the Spotlight match. Will add the rest hopefully later when I can get back to the show. - Like it should happen on Superclash we are right into action. I liked that the Sudakov/Kostovich story was the first match. I think the expected outcome happened ... but, the angle was a lot of fun to follow. "And now, Ivan Kostovich is OUT of the AWA for an entire year! Ivan Kostovich can not return to the AWA until SuperClash IV!" That line set up a lot of possibilities for later on. - Really enjoyed the stipulations and it added a ton of fun to the Preston-Layton match. Some crazy spots that were just a lot of fun ... I liked the stips that were chosen and they felt fitting to the match. The near fall, then the change to Sub rules was fun. The involvement of the strap ... then an elbow drop from the apron! The cobra clutch crossface ... and Preston takes it! We started the night off with back-to-back feel good endings ... I expect in the third match, we won't be so lucky! - Ha, some fun commentary in this match ... Wow, this match had a real classic feel to the match. Summers controlling good portion of the early going ... The cat and mouse chase ... Travis roaring back. Rex leaping into the claw! With the way the Iron Claw has been sold up until this point ... We had that feeling that it was all, but over. Then Rex gets a spark at the last second using the official. Small package and then a backslide, but no ref! Watkins is down ... Champion change!!! Oh wait ... Jagger is back up, when this happens it's never good in professional wrestling. BOOO~! Rex is given his title back by DQ. Classic build you up for two matches, then rip the fans hearts out in the third match. Brilliant step in the feud ... Nice tease for the up and coming Travis. I really enjoyed this match! - A good under card tag match ... Both the Aces and Bombers would make a good tag title challenger. Some interesting mid-match manager story going on when Childes makes his way to ringside. And it continues as he aids the Aces into becoming the #1 contenders. Interesting move if Percy is set to take over the managing duties for the Aces. GM: But... Percy Childes? Fans, there’s more to this situation than meets the eye, I have a feeling. That makes it seem like whomever wins between VU and Lynches later on tonight will stay face to take on a Percy lead Aces ... That seems very solid to me! - Wow ... some Von Braun - Childes history lesson. I always love when we can add some history to our little e-w corner universe. PC: But nothing, Scott Von Braun. That man is my brother. You thought it would be amusing to apply your leglock to him, some twenty-plus years ago. He was a manager and a wrestler... in the, ah, lightweight division. SVB: I remember! He was Lord Childes, the midget wrestling cham... PC: LIGHTWEIGHT DIVISION. And you, a two-hundred seventy pound HEAVYWEIGHT, decided to abuse him for your own entertainment. HA! Whoa ... Aces ... Taking out the legendary, Von Braun. Hurry somebody call the Legacy ... Where is Hollywood by Night? Dang ... This was really well done. It cements the Aces as a huge threat as the #1 contenders. I like the addition of Percy as their manager. And that whole history lesson really hooked me in. Well done guys! - Ladies wrestling ... I don't mean any disrespect, but I usually scroll through e-w female wrestling. This seems to be something different for AWA so let's see where it goes. *snickers* some good commentary ... And, I do have to give it to the writer of the match ... It did keep me for the most part interested. I liked the choice of the ending ... It felt like a good spot to put the heels over. It feels like we are going to have a rematch. More AWA women's wrestling in the future? - More Childes angle work ... Pulling in another wrestling family ... Bitter Simon going off. DT: But the Lynches are three strong, Stevie. You and I both know someone who hates Blackjack Lynch more than we do. He's fought the favored sons of Texas all over that God-forsaken state. That pulls you in with a cliff hanger ... No Freebirds ... but there are the Aces! It feels like they are setting up for a Lynches vs Aces battle. However, I won't get my hopes up just yet as they have to defeat one of the top tag teams in E-W first. - Big man battle ... Mizusawa and Donovan. Big hard nose battle between these two ... it's about what we expected. Wait, the seven footer is going up top!?! but, Mizusawa is still coming back! Chair to the face ... Blackheart punch leads the big man to victory, but it took an awful lot of punishment for him to retain. - Monosso is one of the highlights of the show as usual ... O.o JM: You threaten me?! You hypocritical little prick, I'm going to pull your arms off and shove them up your... JM: YOU CAN'T SAY THAT WORD EITHER, JAMES MO... [*WHACK* That's right... he punched himself.] JM: YOUR ASS! I WILL SHOVE THEM UP YOUR ASS, AND I DON'T EVEN CARE THAT THIS ISN'T REALLY POSSIBLE! I'LL GET AS FAR AS I CAN BEFORE THEY TASE ME! - Monosso-Marley ... reading through this match thus far tells me that these two have a lot of chemistry ... Whatever the outcome, I hope things continue. [Marley's eyes bulge as he is totally taken off guard by this. Monosso crawls... emitting a pained, muted cry with each move, until he gets to Marley's feet...] JM: ...HELP... HELP ME... [Looking down at the madman, Rick hesitates...] JM: ...HELP ME UP... MY SON! [Beat.] JM: ...AHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA! [And then he starts laughing. Percy Childes slaps his knee laughing. Bucky Wilde... well...] BW: HA HA HA HA HA! THAT WAS CLASSIC! Okay, that had me laughing ... And this leads to Marley fighting Monosso at his own game. The match rages on and it has me hooked. I am a huge fan of both of these guys. A second casting call just happened ... This thing continues to roar on ... Marley is being brought down to Monosso's level. It has that real personal feeling in the feud. Lot's of really good spots ... too many to mention. This match seems to be spot heavy compared to the rest of the show, but it is really working ... Wait, Monosso wins by ropes and tights??? Dang, I'm not sure if I should love it or hate it yet! A different and unexpected way to go. Monosso's post match attack helps ease the dagger of the outcome ... Marley counters with a dropkick into the chair! Here comes the Aces ... Wow, the Aces have really had a lot of air time this show. They are getting a monster push! BW: Rick Marley is one of the best wrestlers in the world. Gotta say it; it's true. He's been a champion everywhere; he's a borderline case for the Hall Of Fame already. If Monosso has a win over him, and is already so highly ranked... GM: A National Title shot! Percy Childes is sending Monosso for the National Title! I liked both of those lines at the end there ... Both men seem to be on the verge of big pushes. - Time for the Steal a Spotlight Showcase ... Nice placement after the insane war between Monsso-Marley. However, can the readers handle this much Jer in a row (Monosso-Sultan)?? Our heads may explode from awesomeness! |
