For instance, a couple people have given the impression that the roster might be getting a bit big. Agree? Disagree?

There has been some talk of the Longhorn Heritage name limiting that title and that it should be a traditional TV Title. Agree? Disagree?

You had a seven hour PPV and half the roster didn't make it onto the show. Just sayin...

Longhorn Heritage Title is just fine, like the Western States Heritage title was.

And a) 4me2.

Side questions -

In addition to the "too many managers that sound the same" issue that I mentioned, are there other general issues to address?

Are there characters who are due for some time away to freshen up?

The Longhorn Heritage Title is just fine. Petrow uses a fine example.

I'd also like to see your typical review as it has your booking decisions in it. It's fun to see your thought process while doing the reviews. In fact, I expect a review done in the next hour.

Agree with Joe and Rog, the Longhorn Heritage Title is fine. Of course, I am a little biased since that was my suggestion.

A roster freeze would not be a bad idea.

The one thing I am wondering about...and this may have been planned and I've missed it during my hiatus...is that the AWA seems to be turning into more of a "big" production. I really liked the old-school feel that was short on pyro and jumbotron usage. Seems like things are moving away from that.

The Jumbotron was only because the building already had one. Traditionally, I've been okay with limited pyro on big shows ala Flair and the shower of sparks at the early Starrcades.

Agree with you on the limited pyro.

Maybe the rest of it is just the way I am reading it. I guess my mind can't get out of the WTBS studios and Greensboro Coliseum mode.

I typically look for venues in the 3-7000 range but occasionally spill higher depending on the city.

Wait til we pull a Watts and run the Superdome!

I'm fine with the Longhorn Heritage title as it is.

As far as characters who need time off to freshen up... maybe that needs to be done with the characters who are just kind of there at the moment. The Blonde Bombers seem to be spinning on their wheels, for example.

I never did this, so I'll just do it now: Superclash was awesome. Insanely long? Maybe, but awesome nonetheless.

Also, when Blue mentioned that "someone" was afraid the LH concept was limiting to the title, that person was yours truly. At first I was a little nervous that most people just wouldn't give a crap about the notion, then I realized that if people were going to care about it at all, it would be because of the work all the people involved with it (Jer handling the first champ, me handling the guy chasing/eventually beating him, every challenger in between and of course Blue overseeing it all) not because of some supposedly "limiting" concept which really isn't limiting at all.

I also like the idea of a Television title, but the only thing that's generally unique about such belts is that they're defended every television show. If I do that anyway, does it matter what it's called? Not really.

Anyway, pardon the ramble, I just wanted to chat about that briefly.

And wonder out loud why I couldn't write stuff this consistently back in the early 2000s!

[The crowd cheers a bit more at the idea of that.  A quick cut to ringside shows some of the options on the Wheel - No Disqualification, Submission, Falls Count Anywhere, Strap Match, Coal Miner’s Glove On A Pole, First Blood, and several others.]

Wasn't anyone else upset about this? "Several others" my foot! I paid good money for this Internet PPV, so I demand to know what all of the options were! Were we denied a potential Killing Box match?

SuperClash retcon: Please ignore that Bruno Verhoeven came out to the "Halloween" theme. This should be replaced by "The Game Has Changed" by Daft Punk.

(I just plain forgot that Monosso uses "Halloween" already.)

Pffft... If that isn't grounds for a feud (or an alliance), I don't know what is.

Last feud I remember that involved dueling theme music was Hogan vs Orndorff!

Not quite the same but I also enjoyed Jimmy Hart's war with the Young Stallions because they took "Crank It Up" off the Piledriver album as their theme music - a song he performed.
