I'm doing the ellipses as a bit off trailing off, unsure of what to say or how to end the thought. maybe as someone who has too many thoughts in his head and is unsure if they should all come out. Its not a permanent thing just what he's going through right now. doubt. uncertainity. and other things. Trailing off and pauses, unsure of what the next word should be that's kind of what I'm going for right now. And yes there should have been a comma after staple, I've really been trying to double and triple check everything before it gets sent, I missed that one. If no one nit picked I would get lazy so I appreciate it. Finally thanks for all the kind words about Detson I'm glad I can give everybody a semi-decent read And I might just have to do a sit down type interview although like the debate I'll have to do a seperate post so people can post questions because you guys would think of better one than I.

I too am wondering about the names on this list, and I'm sure I will no doubt agree with Andy's assessment. Also, I feel one of my goals during my return to PVW is to elevate the younger folks and hopefully get them to a point where writers can see them booked for bigger and better things. Gotta get the new crop ready, ya know? |

Great participation by all involved. This has to be the most active the PVW has been in it's four year history. And a huge thank you to all the tag teams. For a cycle that started with only 4 returning teams from the previous cycle you have all surpassed my expectations. Hats off to all of you. So here's the review and I hope no one takes offense these are just opinions. HvD and Craven: I like William Craven and I think Moze is a tremendous writer but this is becoming almost a standard event for Craven. Something happens be it a pen to the eye or the vicious beatdown on Heatwave and there's a bloodied Craven standing tall, trying to play the mind game with whoever caused the beatdown, in this case HvD. I Craven is a beast but I would have preferred this confrontation to occur on Shockwave or Heatwave. That said I think it was a good piece from both men and I agree with Bell that Bruffy and Moze have some good chemistry going here. And I did appreciate the Latex Lex explanation since the I killed your father line on Heatwave had me scratching my head. Overall a strong piece from both guys and I am looking forward to see where they go from. And yes I am privy to some of Moze's plans and I am looking forward to it. The Biz: I liked this promo. The Biz has been a lost in the shuffle for a bit lately but I think he has taken the opportunity really start making real progress with the character. I'm interested to see where he goes with the Dragon Kid mask/persona that he used a few years ago here in the PVW. I actually think that was at the time Gibson Hayes was debuting as well ... I'll need to check that at some point. Legacy: I loved how Rog was able to sell the match with the Sons of Anarchy and the give the brief history lesson in the relationship with Wallace and Cole and the leader of the Underground. He did a great job helping sell the masked man angle. And I have been loving the story of the young tag team earning their stripes with the hard nose mentor. Rob Cole: First things I've been a fan of the Rob Cole character since I started in this hobby 13 years ago ... wait crap it's been 14 or is 15 ... someone help me out when was my run in G-Pro when Stripe, The Banshee and Bram Black were around ... ah crap either way it's been a long time. And yes G-Pro was the first fed I was in. back to the topic at hand. I think Mark has been doing a tremendous job with this whole angle and selling the concussion angle like a champ. this promo was short but a great teaser to his Shockwave announcement. Whisper: Introduction roleplays are a pain in the ass, but I liked this one. It was a different direction than many go and I'm looking forward to see what else is store for the new member of the PVW roster. Senor Cloak Dos: As Dro says who let this hack in PVW. I'm kidding! Senor Cloak Dos is the best pure face in PVW right plain and simple. I'm interested in seeing if Dro plays out a bit of an injury angle and where he takes it and Dos as a whole. I liked this rp since it played into the hero still waiting to go out there and perform, to show how tough he is but still selling the injuries he sustained as he collapsed to the floor. The Berserkers: Have done everything I have asked of them and I appreciate it. Another consistent rp from them that does exactly what it needs. But I do agree with everyone else here they need to show some more emotion and the handler has even emailed me about after reading the feedback on the board. I honestly wasn't too worried about the emotion with the direction that this cycle was going for the teams but they'll have some opportunities in both the ASLL and here in the PVW in the next few shows to let loose. But again it's a promo that did exactly what was needed. The Mercenary: Merc is always hit or miss with me. I am a fan of him beating the holy hell out of the new guys since he's right he doesn't get nearly as many title shots as the new guys who break into the fed ... come to think of it when was Merc's last shot at a title? Honestly I hope Merc drives Marshall into the mat with a Payoff and she's gone. I really want to see him as a lone wolf finally looking out for himself in a quest to get the respect he deserves. Other than that a fine little promo. Kevin Quartermann: A character created by Jer ... yeah that pretty much sums it up. Jer did a great job building on the result of the Heatwave match to build his match with Freeman on Shockwave. Another good promo. Supreme Wright: Wow. Nevermind really brought out something in that rp. Great work against a really tough opponent. Tracy Hudson: I like seeing the rebirth of the character, a veteran trying to rebuild his career but something just didn't click for me and unfortunately I can't put my finger it. And really Tracy Spongebob? It's not bad enough my wife is using that as a ringer right now I have to read a really perverted version if it haha. Nevermind: Nevermind has become one of my favorite character's in the PVW. Alan's work is consistently well written and I find the character very intriguing. I liked the use of the Supreme pizza to compare to Wright, it was a very different approach. The formatting didn't bother and just as it didn't bother me when Berger did it with Manson. Gold Rush: Speaking of Berger. I liked the trip to the farm concept for Cow and Chicken. Decent promo and I liked who he promoted the importance of their debut in the ring. Danny Daniels: Always entertains me. If it was any other character I might have had an issue with him acting like he doesn't remember who Chance Holiday is but with the delusional Daniels it just fits. The HEAT: I like the HEAT, have since I first read their app. I wish they weren't doing the HIT II as I could really use them as heel contenders to Max and Sal but the last HIT tourney helped Max and Sal and the next stages of the HIT II will have nice little twists so I can't really complain to much. Picky does a good job with Arvelle and like him I hope he can flesh Paco and Maxime out a bit more personality wise. Erich Seiger: Such a different approach and I loved it. Senor Cloak Dos and Perry Fontana: Senor Cloak Dos was perfect in his role in teaching Fontana to handle himself in with the fans. He did just what you expected he would and it was the right thing to do. Dro and Flouze worked well together in this rp and I loved the appearance by Dean. I've liked the way Flouze has handled the face turn and he handled the I've never been to one these very well. I liked his reaction towards the guy the picture of his father and him as a baby. Talion: Another good promo from Talion. I am enjoying the slow build of the character and like everyone else I'm curious as to who's the mask. If it's not a returning PVW character or an old veteran making a return it'll still be a good payoff cause of the they way he's been handling him thus far. Lineage: I agree with Jerod. This was needed for the team. Now both characters have a voice and unlike everyone else the names of Lineage and Legacy don't bother me ... and yes you can all blame me for that. I saw both apps and it didn't even dawn on me how similar they were (I told you I was getting old) Chris Hartt: Dean kills me! Nothing personal Dean, it's just at times Hartt seems to be on the cusp of the main event and other times he seems like he's going to be just where is. But this rp continues to show that Hartt can be in the main event and the PVW needs a top tier babyface not a defacto face (no offense Errol and Moze). Hartt did a good job selling both black and his match with HvD on shockwave. And like JC I enjoyed him screaming I am the Avenging Angel. Chance Holiday: RP seemed a bit rushed but it was still solid. Cow and Chicken: Slowly but surely they are craving their niche into the PVW. Jerod's been open about how different PVW was for Cow and Chicken and I think he is making the changes as necessary. While Picky might say Loco is too retarded but I say who cares he's entertaining. Fun rp. Adrian Freeman: I like Freeman. I like him in the AWA and I think he's doing better work here than he was there and saying something. Good work promoting the Quartermann match and his feud with Wright. Heath Dawson: Dawson is a solid face and this rp was his best date. And yep the line about the F16 had me laughing. Derek Weaver: I like Weaver better than ASH (so much so I forgot the goofy way JC spells his name haha) Good work JC. Marcus Manson: Bell and I were talking about how we stumbled onto the Uncle Frank and Manson feud and we're glad we did. This has been some of Berger's best work with Manson in a very long time. HvD: I like HvD as a heel much better than a face. Not really sure how I feel about him in HOPE yet but time will tell. This was a good rp selling the situation with Craven and his match with Hartt. I do think he showed a bit more fire in the joint rp with Craven but still a decent rp. Perry Fontana: My hat off to Flouze another strong effort in this packet for Fontana. Great job with the face turn with Fontana. Max and Sal: Always entertaining. If I recall they might be the first team I okayed into the tag division when my role changed from handler to full time Bell puppet. Gibson Hayes & Uncle Frank: Just great. The interaction between these two is awesome. Uncle Frank is just a special character on so many levels and Hayes like Jerod said Hayes is working that manipualtor role extremely well with Uncle Frank. Christopher Black: Like everyone else I was worried where Katie would go next with Black and I think the feud with Hartt is a perfect way to go. Another solid promo from Black. Johnny Detson: Detson came back from our long haitus with the President gimmick and has been swinging for the fences ever since. Hell he even made Caleb Foley entertaining. Great work from Errol and a great promo to close out the show. Final thoughts: I said it at the start and I'll say it again the participation from each and everyone of you has been awesome this cycle. There have been times in PVW when my interest wanes and I wonder if I want to continue in with our hobby (don't believe me just ask Bell) but this isn't one of them. From all of your great rps to the amount of feedback we've been getting on the shows and the constructive critism (even Picky has some constructive things to say) that's enabling people to bring up their games ... it's refreshing. So thanks everyone. |
