Poppin' Buyrates Since 1996 Posts: 4,124 Group: Super Members Member #57 Joined: March 18, 2005	While the rest of the world was sitting through six hours of pre-game show, the American Wrestling Alliance was hard at work. * The Championship Committee is said to have been in near constant contact with champions throughout the wrestling world, all looking to come to Dallas next Saturday night for a chance to face the AWA National Champion, Calisto Dufresne, in the night's Main Event. Officially added to the drawing this week - Tiger Paw Pro Grand Champion Yoshinari Taguchi, SouthWest Lucha Libre Xtreme Champion Gran Dragón, and Maple Leaf Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Smith Grant. With those three added to Rex Summers and Robert Donovan, we're already off to a great start for this Main Event matchup. * It was also announced earlier today that the showdown between Eric Preston and "Showtime" Rick Marley will take place on the February 25th edition of Saturday Night Wrestling. In addition, that show will also feature a sure-to-be-wild matchup between Violence Unlimited and the Bishop Boys. * AWA insiders are saying that Supernova was thrown for a loop by his back-to-back losses recently and was seen talking to several veterans in the locker room this past weekend, looking for advice. However, we understand that something that happened on the last SNW drew his ire... a situation that many advised him to avoid. Will he be able to hold his temper? * Louis Matsui was nowhere to be seen or heard from on the last SNW and his sole charge, MAMMOTH Mizusawa, had nothing to say about his manager's condition following the beating he took at the hands of Juan Vasquez. We're told that Matsui has had ZERO contact with the front office as well and at this point, no one knows when or even IF he'll be returning to the AWA. *** In honor of the upcoming Fourth Anniversary Show at the end of March, the front office announced a special Anniversary Tour that will take place the week leading up to the big event which will be held in Dallas at the Fair Park Coliseum. The cities hosting the tour shows will be announced in the days to come.
