So, has anyone ever leaked any e-wrestling into their RPGs?

I took a couple e-w characters and made them villains in my Marvel game. It was fun having The Spectre go after Don's character. :-D

I run Bonn as my main WoW toon. :B):

The Machines have made a cameo twice in one of my 7th Sea games when I was GMing for Sonby & COB. Second time around, they were joined by Stephanie Harper, Jessica Marshall and Donna Tetreault.
And here's where I pretend to be a writer...

As some people are aware, I used to run a non-profit game group in the late 90s and early 2000s. We did card games, board games, minis, and rpgs. When I ran it there were 200 people and we used to run 1/3 of the program book for both the Origins and Gen Con Game Fairs.

It's been a long time since I did Origins but Gen Con's a different animal. I finally started going again two years ago. Even met up with Alan at one of the shows too!

Okay now for the list (i'm positive I will miss some)...

D6 Star Wars: Get ready to drool. If you're in the midwest my group _still_ runs a D6 ONGOING at Cons. There's currently over 150 modules. I've written mods, judge, and play quite a bit. And yes Jer I find it superior to the d20 version and/or saga. If anyone's interested let me know.

D20 Star Wars: This same group as a ongoing here too but more like only 20 mods if lucky. It's all right just seems so restrictive compared to D6.

Marvel (TSR): I love this game! I was running a tabletop for my groups at home but real life forced me to stop. Was a part of Jer's online run--the infamous Chaos Theory. I badly could use a superhero game.

Champions: I've played but I like Marvel better. I can't judge it but I've played more than a few times.

Chill: Used to love Chill. I'm friends with the Mayfair Games people. I think they still have books in the warehouse to get rid of but I never found players and can't remember how to run it.

Torg: LOVE THIS GAME! Tons of fun if you can find it. We still play in my Thursday night game. It's rotation with others but it's our fav as we have a real good GM for it.

D&D 1st and 2nd: I can't get my home group to do 3 or 3.5 on Thursday to do it. So this is a regular staple--a little too regular.

D&D 3.5: When I can find people I'm willing. Esepcially since now almost every game system is run off it now.

DC Comics: I played the old Mayfair version a few times and have books for the west end version. V and V from Green Ronin now has a version--wish I knew how to play V and V. :(

Street Fighter: I played it in college and loved it.

WWF RPG: Man this was fun. It's a lot of the old e-w diced system is based off of. My local group hasn't played in a while. I've joked with Jer this would be an awesome game for irc/aim and would lend well to e-w players waiting between cards.

Shadowrun: I like it a ton just wish I could find GMs who do it well.

Earthdawn: In my Thurs night rotation--precursor to shadownrun with no tech.

White Wolf: If I do it, I'd prefer the larp version but not up on the rules as well. I know there's a unofficial highlander template that's like godlike.

GURPS: I'd love to play Gurps more often. I think it's a great system which lends itself to anything and everything.

Traveller: Played multiple versions.

Pathfinder: I've been playing the ongoing lately from Paizo. It's interesting but it's a d20 variant. I got a gunslinger.

Warhammer: Used to have a great judge for this--was awesome.

7th Sea: Love this game. My club has an ongoing at cons for this but it's not what it used to be.

MechWarrior: The RPG version of battle tech. Makes it more interesting IMHO.

Starship troopers: Another ongoing from my club at cons. It's fun but very combat and chain of command oriented. I've got a character there which I enjoy playing.

Serenity: Played it but not much of a firefly fan.

I'm currently playing in the PBP supehero game Don's running--ironically with my character from Jer's Marvel game.

Like others, I'm up for a weekly aim/irc game again--just need to find a time that works. I'd even be willing to run it no less. Maybe I'll finally do the wwf game but Jer--I'd need some help modifying it.

Jeff, I have a nigh complete collection of TORG sourcebooks (I'm missing a few grimoires, Infiniverse/World updates and gear stuff) but as far as cosms, guides and important stuff - I'm sitting on a pretty sizable trove.

My favorite cosms - Nile Empire, Tharkhold, Orrosh, Cyberpapacy
Least favorite: Living Land and Asyle
Have I told you how much I loathe your continued existence today?

The people I'm playing with--at least two of them have a ton of stuff for torg.

We're playing before tharkhold still. Nile is a group fav so is Rorrosh which I can't stand as the Gaunt Man is too dangerous imo. Can't stand living land. I'm all for Nippion tech but most like Isle better which miffs me.

Yes, we all hate the living land. :)

Oh and I looked back on the list and now know I missed games. ;)

Orrosh is too difficult - pre-Gaunt Man returns is bad enough but post return it becomes overwhelmingly so in my experience.

Asyle blows. I dislike high fantasy more often than not. Nippon Tech is alright.

Oh, and burn every Space Gods book you see. I hate that place too.

So last campagin, we're in tharkhold taking on a techno demon.

3 of our party members are down except the Nippon Tech Samuri. For some reason he's got a space gun. Some of us encourage him to fire.

Damn thing takes out 2 of the 3 downed party members. Misses the techno demon entirely.

Yes, god bless the space gods and their weapons. :)

I'm in upstate NY (Utica for all intensive purposes). I have a couple warmachine players and 40k players.

If you or your friends are looking for anything from either, just let me know. Either the SKU number or just the warbands/pieces your looking for and I'll let you know what kinda discount I can cut you guys.

When will President Hayes get to shake hands with his hero, Efflux?

When I ran 7th Sea, Captain Simon O'Neil was a nemesis of the group. Once, he set a group of anarchists to take a noble's party hostage to distract the group as he stole a set of jewels from the host's wife.

(It led to one of our group's repeated lines, even to this day - "how can you call yourselves anarchists if you don't even have a written manifesto!")

The second time around, O'Neal was dragged out of a Jenny house and throw into a canal in Vodacce.

His revenge was to switch the party's casks of wine with vinegar.

The last time I actually got to play in a 7th Sea campaign my Innish Boxer knocked out a kraken. It wasn't supposed to happen, as it was one of those monsters we're all supposed to run away from... but I decided to give the party some time and my character was dumb as a box of nails. So I decided to hit it... and my dice kept exploding. It got up to 90+ damage and the GM stared in horrified awe as not a single die of his rolled above a 3 for soaking the damage.

Did I mention that I love 7th Sea?

That's the beauty of the system. If you get lucky...you get awesome.

All I ask my GM's is for one moment of swashbuckling per session, be it swordplay, crashing through a window, or a witticism. We've had a couple three-four hour sessions where no one's rolled a single die...

I had a 7th sea character where my plan was to make him acrobatic--very acrobatic.

So the bad guys board the ship and there's 3 below my character in the crow's perch/nest/whatever and I decide to go top rope full splash on all three. GM seems clueless on this. I roll and barely miss resulting my character going splat head first into the ship floor. Oh and very dead.

Yes, you need a good GM who understands swashbuckling. :)

And I'd killed to play Toon. I especially would have loved to try the ghostbusters version.

This is why table top rpg's are the greatest.

You and your friends will never forget that moment, and nothing that ever happens online or in some video game will ever compete with that memory.

Man, I wish I could play more.
