Just wanted to talk about a point you made on your podcast inre: Big Debuts.

The problem with having a big fanfare debut is one of diminishing returns. When you finally do your big unveiling, the readers all let out a collective GASP and mark out and such. But as you begin to do the legwork in RPs and such, you wind up struggling to maintain the massive level of heat you've already gained. So with each appearance, you actually take away that momentum.

When you debut normally, there are little to no expectations for you or your character, which means you have nowhere to go but up... Unless you're Mean Rich Mason.

In a nutshell, that's exactly what I'm saying, Tracy!

I'd elaborate, but you pretty much explained the thought as clearly as it can be already.

I had Supreme Wright specifically state that he didn't want a big debut for that very reason. You just end up getting everyone's expectations up and look lame when you're not a megastar within weeks.

Flouze's podcast is a nice middle ground between Dro and Picky, and I hope his "this is the very last final one ever" is just a running gag now.

Though, with all e-w podcasters, I'd still say do them only when you feel like it. :-)

He did them before but now they're public and it is a running gag until Flouze actually runs out of IRL time to do so.
Have I told you how much I loathe your continued existence today?

Picky once again shows why he's always been known as the clever one.

I doubt I'll feel like making a podcast for every show... but yeah, it's a running gag since the early podcasts that were recorded exclusively for Dro as a means of encouraging him to do more of his.

By the time I get to the end of recording, I'm sufficiently fed-up with the process that I do sort of mean it when I say it's the last one, haha... which is why Dro always asks if this one was really the last one.

It'll eventually be true, though.
Heck, for all I know, maybe this one really is the last one.
;)
