Just looking back at the last 8 months or so and smiling at a lot of the pleasant and unpleasant surprises that have come up. Wondering if anyone is willing to put in their various thoughts.

Pleasant-

Uncle Frank - When he came in, Picky was selling him like a million bucks and others did too. I was a little skeptical, as I am about new debuts, but man... Frank took off like a shot and may be putting out THE most consistently entertaining work in the company. Bar none. And Steinar has such a flexibility with the character that he can really work ANY angle you need... it's just jarring how good he is.

Perry Fontana's evolution - Fontana, as I entered, struck me as a hard nosed heel and didn't seem to be able to break MY mental mold of him. Then the end of Fontana/Landis happened. Flouze ran with it and evolved his character to a very logical end and made this man a very compelling face, who sold the shit out of my character. Can't thank him enough for that.

Christopher Black - Coming in as another Brit heel (though a good talker) I didn't expect too much. But MAN was I wrong. Black may have easily been the best written heel from the midyear to this point and Katie just keep finding ways to evolve him. Even if he is Rose's power bottom.

Quartermann, Wright, Freeman, Dawson - the influx of talent I saw, at first, as dubious... it seemed like people coming late to the party that was already live and kicking. A lot of very established talent trying to horn in on our fun. But holy SHIT did they adapt, join in and thrive. I honestly can't imagine just how good PVW would've been had they joined the same time 'Dro, Katie, and I all brought in Dos, Black and AsH. I enjoy everything they do really.

Nevermind - What can't be said about the Nihilistic Assassin? ...I'm sticking with that nickname by the way. But what I thought of as a possible niche filling character is a very compelling read each and every time.

Unpleasant-

Major Damage- I talked with Moze last night and he assured me things were in the works to turn it around. I give him MORE than the benefit of the doubt: Anticipation. I want to see how he does it, because Moze's past work deserves to have that level of respect.

Matt Tiegs- Not to beat a dead Sarah Jessica Parker, but Bell sold this face to the moon and he shoots himself in the foot! No constructive criticism allowed... and I thought Tiegs had the chance to make a real run as a good, true face.

No Wargames- Bell promised. PROMISED me a Wargames match, dammit!

Tyson Cain - Where the HELL is this guy?!

Epstreme/Merc/Marshall - It was SO compelling at first and took a GREAT twist... but then kinda... pfft? I know personal stuff probably got involved, but I was so excited to see Merc have a chance to evolve.

...now YOU go!

Timing hasn't felt right for the return of War Games yet ... Hopefully it does eventually. :)
