I have no problem about the ending, since it wasn't totally out of left field and it also shakes things up sufficiently. Could be interesting to see who steps up to go after the LH title.

Having two heel singles champs is an interesting dynamic...don't think we had that even in the Dark Times era?

(considering the PCW belt as more of a prop than a title, at least up until now...)

I was pretty surprised by the ending!

That said, I liked it, because the belt WAS dying on Donovan, and moving it is probably the best way to give it a shot in the arm, especially since Summers is such a little shit.

See, open contracts aren't just dangerous for heels, my friends! I thought it was a good way to move the belt, a good way for Summers to get something right back after losing to Travis Lynch earlier in the show, and if I can say this without blowing my own horn too loudly, a way to cement Donovan as one of the AWA's main eventers for the time being while also freeing up the LH title for people who might be able to do something more interesting with it.

Plus I really liked Summers' post-match promo.

Also, there's a funny error in the update about Watkins taking a match with Donovan, which I don't thiiiink is in the cards! :D

Screw that! I'm calling my cable company to demand that they follow through with their advertising and have Watkins and Donovan beat the tar out of each other for my amusement!

I thought the card was great. Excellent matches, great build up's and the promos you guys did were top notch!

Only thing I was VERY disappointed in was the Money Pit segment. I was really looking forward to Supernova-Craven face-off.

The rumor is Supernova couldn't find his make-up purse! :spam:

Great job by everyone though.

Back to Terry's point, I didn't see it as a MITB type deal because

that would create precedent.

I liked the show. The ending didn't bother me, and it won't so long as there is a purpose or plan in place to make hot-shotting the title worthwhile. Surprise for the sake of surprise doesn't work for me, but given Blue's explanation earlier, I think the ends justify the means. I also like the Summers character and am interested in seeing him more in the spotlight.

That said, with the Vasquez/Dufresne title switch a few months back followed by this similar-ish title switch, I hope we don't see anything like this again for a while.
"Destruction of Hell" start playing as Mason drop the mic and exit the
ring as fans throw stuffs at him but he punch out most of the fans even
children.

And I believe also fixed. That one made me also realize his name is spelled wrong on the roster part of the Update.

For some reason, I'm not able to log in while on a hotel's wireless connection.

Regarding The Money Pit, part of that is me not touching bases with Moze sooner. This time of year is when the high school basketball postseason begins and my time on the Internet is limited -- and when I am able to log on, I'm usually tired and not really up for writing.

So there was a breakdown in communication that led to what ended up being the final result on The Money Pit.

It wasn't the best thing that could have happened, but given the circumstances, we were stuck between a rock and a hard place, so that's what we ran with.

Okay now that we've discussed this card enough!

It was fun to finally face Rob in a match, as far as I'm aware it's actually the first time I've had any of my characters go up against his. That result went the way I expected it, as Green's not going to beat Donovan in a believable manner anytime soon. The ending of the card was a shock, but Summers developed so much on this card and no longer needs Morton as a manager.

Winning the Battle Royal was a shock to begin with to be honest. Now I can give Green the gimmick of the "King of the Battle Royals".

Actually, Mr. Malloy, you drug probably the best EMWC-era Donovan RP out of me some years ago for a Spector/Donovan match, for the title even. I think that match wound up with a DQ finish, which is pretty funny if you consider how crazy even regular E matches got sometimes, but I like to think I made Blue change the result with that RP!

Of course, I also thought Will Navage was a super idea, soooo....
