-> HOPE
A large, and much awaited Group RP from the only real stable around. It had a lot of different messages but the bottom line was pretty clear: Never again. Weaver was still trying to be the lone wolf, and that's my fault for not actively trying to gel him... but we'll see if I can fix it. I think Johnstone did a phenomenal job and is still in the whole "Manager of the Year" mindset.

-> Rob Cole
Cole's promo was good. Interesting, and a different take as he was calling out people "without guts." Some I may not have agreed with, but the point is this: It made me think and critically analyze the promo without realizing it. I liked what he did and this really helped move their angle forward. I think Mark seems to be hitting a good stride with Cole now and the blow off with Young will be pretty epic.

-> Sinister #1
Holy hell. A fairly long Sinister piece that I actually enjoyed! Color me surprised. I will say that I have on criticism that I hope finally gets through to Sin's handler. Not everyone calls each other by their names EVERY time they talk. "Tell me, Doc..." "Ok, Sinister..." "Go ahead, Doc." "Alright, Sin." "Doc" "Sin" "Doc" "Sin". Good promo anyway.

-> The Biz
Where is this going? The line of thought was hard to follow, as I assume that's what he was going for... but I dunno. More turned off by this whole angle than most.

-> Sons of Anarchy
This one struck me as a little flat. It was still a good promo as SAMCRO is still doing their best to establish the characters, and they are moving forward... but in terms of a good, match promoting promo... I dunno. I will be looking for their next promo, though.

-> Adrian Freeman
Freeman is striking all the right notes as the cocky, arrogant SOB here. I enjoy the hell out of it and his Ascension is really helping the talent pool deepen... not like we needed the help. Love this guy.

-> Talion
Talion's was good, again... but I feel like we're spinning our wheels. Not sure if the character ever will be revealed, but at this point I'm starting not to care. If he's got major issues he needs to work through, then get them out there and stop harping about them. Being a one note song isn't a great thing...

-> Xenia Sonova and Sterling Von Braun
The Legacy angles of fighting for new managers has grabbed me. The Von Brauns are instantly likeable from multiple levels and CONSISTENTLY fight for my favorite tag team spot. I think this week Legacy won, but by a hair's breadth over Lineage.

-> Kevin Quartermann
MAN did I like this promo. It was ALL about Nevermind and not necessarily his next match, but it was still GREAT! Top 3 of the card, honestly and I think that Quartermann is going to be in the running for the first real crack at the NA title after Shattered Dreams. Also, probably in the top 5 in terms of quality for the Shattered Dreams rumble.

-> Chris Hartt
Hartt's starting to hone in on his groove. That point between passion and anger is getting closer and closer and I think we're going to see a breakthrough soon. Unfortunately this week he's stuck with a guy who he has WAY too much history. Gionet pretty much sandbags his opponents by never really doing anything different so I didn't expect a world changing promo here that wasn't a total burial of Gionet... and both Dean and Hartt are too good for that.

-> Heath Dawson
Gonna lump all the Dawson's in here. Heath Dawson's pair of promos, especially the progression showed major character building. Dawson, while talented, IS a little naive and it shows. But what the second promo showed me as that Heath, at the end of the day, wants credibility as a WRESTLER. He 's a slackabout, sure, but dammit, he's an athlete and wants the recognition he deserves.

-> Lineage
Good promo, a little Vermeer heavy for me as I'm a Kruger man. Though I suppose to make him more effective, you need to use him sparingly. What I am impressed with is Vermeer getting away with pink sweaters. Oh, and writing engaging promos pretty consistently. That too.

-> Joe Hardy
Not a fan. Now, I know there are people who are wetting their huggies over Lester's return. Me? I don't know the character, have no preconceived notions about him and therefore, am not marking. The whole 'e-wrestling' line at the begging, the idea of a undercover FBI agents winning tag team championships, terrorist attacks and ... I'm sorry, am I describing an episode of 24 or a promo? ...bottom line is that I did _NOT_ like it. AT ALL.

But what I _WILL say, positively, is that it was CRAFTED very well. Good structure, the subjects in the interview were well written and the _IDEA_, while I hate it in EW, would be compelling elsewhere. I _DO_ look forward to the REAL work from Lester and not his mock-ups for the next season of Sons of Anarchy.

-> Cow and Chicken
Funny, though again, it didn't resonate with me as well as their previous work did.

-> Dragon Kid
Is PVW now the young and the restless? I'd KILL for some realism at this point.

-> Sinister #2
As stated about "Doc" "Sin" "Shepard" "Wrex" thing is annoying as hell. And this promo fell flat to me. Does Sinister know the Doctor personally? Do they date? Is she and undercover FBI Agent--- sorry. It sold Spectre but... was this promo at all necessary? AT ALL?

-> Max and Sal
Thank God, these two saved my bad mood. They put out their usual, entertaining stuff, but nothing especially groundbreaking. I think having a few weeks without any real matches or a feud like they did with L&G could be hurting them. Hard to measure up to that. And to their credit, I think they, along with everyone else, is waiting to see their feud with Lineage or Legacy next cycle.

-> Derek Weaver
I wasn't terribly pleased with this promo. A bit of writer's block and a slew of other shitty excuses left me pretty much drained from this one so I put together what I could. Eh. If I'm rating it I'll give it a 6 out of 10.

-> Gold Rush
I gotta agree with multiple people asking why Regnigh isn't Berger's sole focus, as he is far more captivating than his brother-in-law. And I'm looking at Gold Rush and wondering just how to bump them back up onto par with M&S, and Lega-neage. My thought? Give them the loser of Legacy/Lineage lottery to face M&S after Shattered Dreams. They will be FORCED to increase their game and in turn, we'll get a stronger Gold Rush by the end of it. I really think that if Berger gets one good feud in with these guys, he'll be top tier afterward.

-> Herscher von Donkerhardt
HvD's been suffering at the hands of Craven, whether Moze has done it or not, for the whole cycle now. Even breaking that fuckers neck didn't help HvD a lick! But he's gonna turn it around. Bruffy's gonna break the cycle and ...break out this cycle. Yeah, that didn't come out well, but you get my point. HvD, once he gains momentum (and this card should do that) he's going to be back to the Bas Rutten pastiche that he reminds me of. Danga-DA-DANG!

-> Danny Daniels & Chance Holiday
Daniels went from annoying the bajesus out of me to an insta-read due to his addition of an oddly out of character Chance Holiday. And HOLIDAY! What a way to shut MY mouth! Really changed it up and man, he's legit, folks! MOAR!

-> Whisper
My man Whisper can't take this bullsquat anymore! He's dropping the mask? Dropping the gimmick? What gives? Probably the most INTERESTING promo of the entire card. And since I know Patches, I have an idea of 5 different scenarios that could play out with this one.

-> The Berserkers
Ok promo. Again, nothing ground breaking. But they're so consistent and so COMPLETELY put over their opponents every time, that they really set a benchmark for how to hype your fights. Let's see some strife though, fellas.

-> Supreme Wright
I think my favorite promo of the bunch. The idea that he likes the fucked up title better than the new one? Great. The idea that he isn't Freeman's bitch anymore? Perfect. And the LAST LINE! "Care to Negotiate?" FUCK ME was that good. I don't have to think about it. This _WAS_ my favorite promo of the bunch.

-> Tracy Hudson
Ditto on the whiplash from the mood changes... but it's done so naturally that it doesn't feel manufactured at all. I LIKE that Hudson is as balanced as the before and after kids at fat-camp on a teeter totter. Family Guy? Eat your heart out.

-> Christopher Black
Ok, my guess: Katie has a bet with herself or her husband that she can write LESS and LESS words for Black and STILL get him over. If she gets away with a great no-word-for-Black promo, I'm gonna mark my brains out. Anyway, fantastic promo.

-> Tommy Von Braun and Alex Wallace
Legacy still pushing it forward. I think I liked this one MORE than the other, as it shed more light on Wallace's take from the whole issue, but both good.

-> Johnny Detson
Damn. This one was this || close to taking away my favorite promo from the card. At its base, it's a burial promo. OF DETSON. BY DETSON! WOO! And at the end of it, he _STILL_ looks like the strongest POSSIBLE contender for the title! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?! I need to get tips from Errol.

-> Marcus Manson
Pretty good. Not great. Having trouble seeing anything mind-blowing but he didn't dribble on for days. I like that.

-> The Mercenary
This was a good promo and finally it looks like we're getting some evolution from the Merc. I think his work is going to improve drastically now that he gets to go in a new direction.

-> Erich Seiger
Good damn promo. Sold Black. Sold the match. A bit long, though... but after reading it again, it kinda had to be to get in ALL the points he wanted. Now, could he have shaved off a few points? Sure. End of the day, still a darn good promo. I'd like to see Seiger just brutalize someone in his next outting though. Let's see the beast outta his cage.

-> Uncle Frank
Frank, regardless of how long or short, is arguably the most entertaining promo on any packet. His depth with this character is just staggering! Great promo.

-> Perry Fontana & Senor Cloak Dos
WOW! No words from Fontana and yet he says *taking off glasses* a mouthful. YEAAAAAAAAH! Dos is such a comical foil to this promo that it gets both over extremely well. Dos seems very motivated to take out Weaver (get 'em!) and with Fontana's guidance, maybe he can!

-> William Craven
This was a better one for Moze than most of the last few... but this one dragged for me. Not saying it wasn't GOOD, but it was long. I honestly want to hear more from CRAVEN than his psychiatrist. We did that before. I want the real Craven, admitting how fucked up he is.

-> Spectre
Truth: I thought Spectre a one trick pony. I thought him unable to really break outside of his mold and kind of a gatekeeper. Also truth: I was wrong. He's finding ways to USE that seeming one-dimensionality to turn it and really fit in wherever he chooses. Spectre/Dos may be the oddest pairing.

Yeah, my promos tend to be a bit long because I go "back and forth" between Dallas and Seiger. The promo I did right before Tradition was short because it was just Dallas doing 90% of the talking, but...I don't know, I think it called for a conversation after that last card.

You think that's bad, you should see my old Fraternity Boy promos...seriously, please see them, I don't remember half of them.

To each their own, I guess. I never expected to win every single reader as a fan of this idea but at least people are paying attention to The Biz more than when he first joined PVW.

And yes, I am well aware this whole thing reeks of "Days of our Lives" but shit, pro wrestling is a male soap opera anyways.

Thanks for the compliment, JC. Wasn't thrilled with Legacy's stuff this week. It was rushed and last minute. Big thanks to Riz for the Sonova/Sterling stuff. That was primarily him.
