Another Saturday, another night at the Skull here in San Antonio.
Tonight the chatter was all about the tournament to crown new Southwest
Tag Champions and who might be involved. Before the show started Tara
Marshall came out to officially announce that eight teams would take part
in the tournament, with a mystery team involved in the final first round
match later. Kicking off the tournament...

Southwest Tag Title Tournament
Air Express vs. The Glamour Boys
--------------------------------
This one started off by the mouthpiece behind the team of "Marvelous"
Michael Taylor and "Nasty" Nick Hunter, Robert "The Hoff" Hoffman, coming
down to the ring and introducing his team as the uncrowned tag team
champions. The match began with Air Express' Johnny Lohan confusing
Taylor with a dizzying aerial attack that resulted in a hiptoss slam and
small package attempt. Lohan tagged in his partner Kenny Packard for
stereo dropkicks, but it wasn't long before the more seasoned Taylor and
Hunter had cut the ring off and mercilessly doubleteamed Packard with
quick tags in and out. A superkick by Hunter into a Samoan Drop by
Taylor, nicknamed the Red Vine, left Kenny hanging by a thread and only a
last moment foot under the ropes stopped the pin attempt. Moments later
he fell victim to the Sunset Driver, a tandem brainbuster suplex, and the
Glamour Boys moved on in the tournament to the chagrin of the crowd.

WINNERS: The Glamour Boys

The Hoff grabbed the mic again and told the crowd that "step one" had
been achieved, with much more still to come. Hoff and his men then stood
off to the side as the Second City Roughnecks made their way out to the
ring. The two teams eyed one another, but kept their distance as the SCR
entered the ring.

Southwest Tag Title Tournament
Second City Roughnecks vs Jamie Kidd/Jesse Roucka
-------------------------------------------------
The crowd cheered as Jamie Kidd and "Jammin" Jesse Roucka came down to
the ring next, trading stares with the Glamour Boys before sliding into
the ring where the Roughnecks were waiting. Bode Connors pounded away on
Kidd as Shani Fairborne tried to toss Roucka into the air with a flapjack
but ended up taking a huracanrana to the mat. When the dust settled
Roucka absorbed punishment from the Roughneck left standing, Connors.
The crowd began to sing "Deep In The Heart Of Texas", distracting Bode as
he hoisted Roucka up for a gorilla press and Fairborne began to yell back
at the audience to "shut up, rednecks!" Roucka kept his team in the
match by kicking out of several power moves, and finally got the hot tag
to bring Kidd in. Jamie and Jesse began to tag in and out, confusing the
bruisers and eventually scored the win from a corkscrew moonsault press.

WINNERS: Jamie Kidd and Jesse Roucka

As soon as the match was done, the Glamour Boys jumped into the ring and
began to beat down on Kidd and Roucka. While the SCRs simply left the
ringside area Taylor drilled Kidd with a piledriver as Hunter scooped
Roucka up and slammed him near the corner, then went up top and executed
a moonsault kneedrop to the chest. A few members of the locker room ran
out for the save, notably "Big Time" Bradley Rose and Stephen Edge, to
run the Glamour Boys off. As Rose helped his battered friends head to
the back, Edge remained in the ring and "Stroke Me" hit the PA system to
a WILD heel pop.

Stan "The Man" Fox vs. Stephen Edge
-----------------------------------
A spotlight hit the entrance and out pranced Sugar, wearing white
hotpants and a half hoodie top unzipped dangerously low. She spun on her
heels and escorted Stan Fox down to the ring, where Edge looked on
unimpressed. Fox made his valet hold the ropes open for him, and the
blonde bombshell wrapped her legs around the top rope and hung upside
down as the music faded and Fox took the opportunity to blast Edge with a
forearm before the bell. As Sugar swung down to the floor and took her
spot at the pole- er, post, Fox delivered a snap suplex before taking the
fight to Stephen Edge on the outside apron. Edge countered a Death
Valley Driver with some elbows to the head, and slingshot Fox to the
corner headfirst.

As she's been proven to do as of late, with Stan in trouble Sugar climbed
up onto the apron and tried to distract Edge. She unzipped the hoodie
completely, making it obvious that she wasn't wearing anything else
underneath it and Stephen tried to tell her to climb back down. The
seduction routine continued as Fox struggled back to his feet, trying to
charge Edge from behind but his opponent was aware and sidestepped to
cause Stan to rush into the half-naked blonde! Fox put on the breaks
just in time as Sugar screamed, Edge tried to use a schoolboy rollup to
steal the win. As the referee counted to two, the buxom blonde reached
in through the ropes and clawed at Edge's eyes. Now as she hopped down,
the blinded Edge was picked off by Fox with the Death Valley Driver for
the victory.

WINNER: Stan "The Man" Fox

When Fox and Sugar tried their usual post-match routine to add
humiliation to the win, "Overkill" Joey Malone rushed down from the
locker room and chased the pair from the ring right up back to the
entrance. And in a move that drew a HUGE POP from the crowd Joey made a
final lunge just as Sugar disappeared through the backstage curtains,
pulling her hoodie off and holding it up as a trophy. Chants of "Jo-ey!
Jo-ey!" filled the Harrison-Skoel Arena, as Malone grinned and returned
to the back soon after.

Mistress Nightshade vs. "Hotstuff" Heather Bloodgood
----------------------------------------------------
The next match featured a debut, a woman by the name of Mistress
Nightshade who walked down to the ring wearing a Mardi Gras-style mask
and brightly colored wig. She took on one half of Lightning Quick,
"Hotstuff" Heather Bloodgood. Bloodgood opened up with a spirited bit of
kick-related offense, at one point nailing her opponent with a slingshot
dropkick near the corner. But Nightshade took over after ducking a
clothesline and delivering a series of elbowsmashes followed by a roaring
elbow strike. The masked woman soon delivered a running palm strike
before a standing knee to the gut doubled her up. And though Bloodgood
did try to stay in the match with a bodypress counter off of an irish
whip to the ropes, it was a bridging back cradle suplex that allowed
Nightshade to pick up the win. Mistress Nightshade drew a small round of
cheers from the still mostly confused crowd.

WINNER: Mistress Nightshade

When the ring cleared, the next match was announced as non-title. Out
from tbe back came one of the Russo Brothers, Tony. A rare comment from
him on the microphone, expressing his dismay at the brothers not being
included in the tournament to crown new tag team champions. He then went
on to declare he'd just have to show up the Southwest Heavyweight
Champion intead.

Non-Title
Danny Holden vs. Tony Russo
---------------------------
And then Danny Holden made Russo tap to the Armbar Submission inside of
about thirty seconds, after blasting him with a pair of forearms and knee
strikes, then a leg trip to the mat.

WINNER: Danny Holden

Holden collected his title and left to a loud chorus of boos, as usual
opting not to say anything whatsoever to the crowd.

Southwest Tag Title Tournament
Mark II vs Cornelius Gore/Quinn Murray
--------------------------------------
The tag title tournament resumed next, as Cornelius Gore and Quinn Murray
entered to boos from the crowd but maintained their distance from one
another. Mark Carney and Mark Workman came out second, and the duo known
as Mark II controlled the early going of the match by keeping Murray away
from the madman known as Gore. Outwrestling Murray and rolling him up
several times for near falls began to frustrate him, and he left the ring
to collect his thoughts. Gore jumped down to confront his partner, but
Murray brushed past the mute wrestler and walked right into a double
dropkick off the apron, crashing into Cornelius and leaving them both
sprawled. Carney slid out of the ring and retrieved Murray, tossing him
back into the ring before an enraged Gore got his hands on the Mark II
member and laid him out on the arena floor with a falcon arrow!

Gore stormed off up the aisle, leaving Murray to battle Mark Workman one
on one until he realized he was being abandoned. Yelling at Gore, Quinn
was distracted and Workman spun him around and delivered a kick to the
stomach. An Imp Plant DDT later and it was all over, Murray was laid out
and covered by Workman to move on in the tournament.

WINNERS: Mark II

As the crowd cheered Workman slid out of the ring and helped his partner
back up, as a woozy Carney staggered around and was helped to the back.
As Murray laid in the middle of the ring, flat on his back, the lights
began to strobe and a pounding musical beat began to play over the PA
system for a few seconds, then returned to normal. Murray eventually got
back to his feet, and then stormed off to the locker rooms.

Southwest Tag Title Tournament
Hellhound/Overkill vs. Mystery Opponents
----------------------------------------
The final opening round match saw Hellhound and Overkill come out to the
ring first, demanding to know who their opposition would be. It didn't
take them long to find out, as the lights dropped out and when they
returned standing in the ring were the current reigning Bastard Stampede
Tag Team Champions THE SONS OF SKULLHEAD! Darklin and Krow Skullhead
quickly grabbed the shellshocked team standing in their way and made
short work of them, stomping away with great brutality on Hellhound and
Overkill. A spinebuster slam on Hellhound shook the ring, and at the
same time the SoS executed twin jumping piledrivers to lay their foes out
and grab the academic three count.

WINNERS: The Sons Of Skullhead

The overjoyed crowd cheered loudly and began to chant "S-O-S! S-O-S!"
over and over again while the two men wearing skull masks posed and
flexed on the turnbuckles.

Before the main event began, the video screens played a short highlight
reel of Fantasy Girl's exploits in Japan with talent like Commander
HITOMI, Shawna Wilde and Michiko Shimoda, all set to Martin Solveig and
Dragonette's "Big In Japan".

Main Event: For the Southwest Women's Championship
Rachel "Arcee" Carlisle[c] vs. Fantasy Girl
-------------------------------------------
Both wrestlers received loud ovations from the crowd, Arcee walking out
and receiving a small hug from her two step-brothers as the Sons of
Skullhead passed by. Fantasy Girl, making her return to MBC: Alamo City,
slapped hands as she headed down the aisle to the ring and was showered
with multi-colored streamers by puro-loving members of the audience.

The two put on a flashy spectacle of the match, Fantasy Girl taking to
the air almost non-stop in the early going until she overshot a flying
forearm and crashed in the middle of the ring. From there Rachel
Carlisle kept working over the knee of her opponent, suplexing FG to the
mat repeatedly and floating over into kneebars and ankle holds. This
forced Fantasy Girl to dig into her own technical repertoire instead of
exclusively high flying, and she fought back with a running neckbreaker
to chop the champion down. A dropsault let her keep the advantage, but a
rough landing onto her own knee actually prevented her from capitalizing
and perhaps taking the title. Towards the end of the match as both women
perched on the turnbuckles Fantasy Girl swung for the fences with an
uppercut and knocked Arcee down. Preparing to hit a 450 splash, Carlisle
quickly sprang back up and stunned her with an elbow to the stomach, then
stepped up and executed a super version of her Voodoo Mama DDT off the
ropes for the stunning three count!

WINNER: And still Southwest Women's Champion, Rachel "Arcee" Carlisle

Following the match, Arcee shook hands with Fantasy Girl and the show
ended with the two posing for pictures with the fans. It was also
announced that next week's show would see the semi-finals of the
Southwest Tag Team Title Tournament.
