Thoroughly digging Alphonse Green as well as Scotty Mayhem. And I apparently keep calling him "Imbroglio" instead of "Imbrogno".

Glad to hear people enjoyed the Hive's interaction with Mr. Mensa. Here's an interesting story about that... A few days before the show really got underway, I wrote Joe and Jer and told them that I was "probably" going to do The Hive vs The Rave but that they didn't need to do it anything for it. I had three reasons why I wanted to do the match: 1) I felt the show had no Main Event and needed one. 2) I got this idea of The Hive cutting a promo by only buzzing in my head and wanted to do it. 3) I really like the spot of one bee sitting on a Rave's shoulder and a pump kick leading to a spiking reverse rana. Just as easy as that. Once I started thinking about The Hive promo, I decided the promo idea was funnier in my head since them just buzzing was a one-note joke. Therefore, I decided that they needed translation. I originally was going to do subtitles but didn't think it had the comedic punch I was looking for. Enter Mr. Mensa who OF COURSE would be smart enough to understand them... or so he says. I don't think that's the end of that angle yet either. As a fed head, I'm a firm believer that sometimes you just have to run angles that you really like even if you think no one else will like them. This was my latest.

Some of my favorite AWA shows are the "smaller" shows that allow some of the other guys the spotlight. This show was a little closer to what I had originally intended SNW to be. Squashes, a couple of big matches, promos. It just has a much lighter feel to it. Plus, it was a heck of a lot shorter than recent weeks. Fun stuff.
