Funny thing is, I didn't completely understand the rules for the main event match, either.

...um...I kind of made them up as I went along...right, Brian?

Blame COB ... or Worship him ... you guys decide!Posted Image

I admit, I was not fully up on the rules of the match when I wrote the promo.  I also sent it in just before I was alerted to the correct rules.

Still, my error and I'm sorry I forgot to write about the TV title and more about Black.  I thought focusing on the entirety of the match vs. just my feud was called for here. I thought if I only focused on Black, that would have been wrong. I went too far in the other direction.

Sorry.  :(

Chris Hartt's punishment = Meatgrinder 2

Understand THAT Wookie. :)

Seriously though, I didn't have a problem with omitting the TV Title. Hartt's goals should be higher than the TV Title... he's a long-time PVW veteran and a former American Champion, one of only 7 men in the world to hold one of the top 2 PVW titles, and he's locked in a feud with arguably the most evil person in PVW... he shouldn't care about the TV Title. Bringing it up in a promo like that one would actually devalue it more in my mind than leaving it out, as he would only be bringing it up to bring it up, not because he truly wanted it. Hartt's goal is the American Title, and he said it as such. He sold the match appropriately. Maybe he could have talked about Black more, but you can always play that off as prioritizing Hartt focusing on the match and the American Title and not getting "distracted" by Black.

Just a couple more cents to throw on top of that buck-fi'ty I spewed earlier. :)
Working on new characters you didn't see a decade ago. Honest.

- One on One Rebirth Rules Match: Sinister v. Spectre Ref: SCD

Holy god did Sinister need this. Yes, he lost... but no wrestler in PVW can honestly say they don't respect the hell out of Sinister for subjecting Spectre to that kind of punishment. Sin hasn't done a lot of wrestling lately... but after this match, he's still as credible a threat as he's ever been. Yes, the pencil spot was kinda stupid... but everything else was awesome. I'm not a huge hardcore nut, but I actually liked this even more than Fontana/Weaver.

My goal in writing this was to give Sinister an edge. Can't even say I'm a huge fan of the guy, but Bell is behind the character, and it does no one any good for a complete ass whupping. Same theory as writing a promo that buries someone versus a promo that builds them up, so when you beat 'em it means more. Spectre bleeding Sinister dry and getting a one foot pin wouldn't really do anyone any good. And by God, if Sinister ever actually takes action and goes on the offensive against HOPE, now there's an in character reason for everyone to say, "Oh shit."

And he channels Trey Lawrenze!

All in a day's work.
Cole Hamels Fact #1685: The Devil went down to Georgia because he knew if he went to Philadelphia, Cole would strike his ass out.

That level of enthusiasm should have broken him by Markout Mania 5 or so. Keeping it up as long as he did is a testament to his passion... at least he died doing something he loved.

RIP Dro. You will be missed.

Dro said he would be out yesterday and not be doing the last part until today.

Do you actually think reviewing that main event is going to take less than 5 days? If you believe that, I got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you...

YEAH, I'M TALKING TO YOU, DA MOO COW

YOWZA! An update of sorts, I got started on reading/recording on the main event but have had some stuff come up and have been delayed. Will get back on it in a bit, hopefully out tonight, if not tonight by tomorrow. Lo siento for delays!

It's ok, Dro. If someone complains, I'll just hit them with an unabridged version of the main event.

Like you could even pick that thing up.

If Juan Vasquez hit that thing with a right cross, he'd GET cancer.

Fifteen years from now, when little Billy Marshall-Quartermann asks how his mommy and daddy met, Kevin and Jessica can look lovingly on each other as they relay their story of how they came to meet in the same dumpster...

Which kinda makes Nevermind and Merc the greatest matchmakers ever.

Uncle Frank, being a good sport and not at all a sore loser, would like to congratulate Supreme Wright on becoming the PVW TV Champion.

Uncle Frank would also like to extend his condolences to Supreme Wright's family for Supreme Wright's unfortunate death by a grand piano dropped from a tall building.

Incidentally, anyone know where Uncle Frank can buy a grand piano cheap? :D
