 Doran's version of Broussard used a lot more big words to make himself sound important...or at least that was the impression I used to get. Otherwise, it was a fairly good knockoff.

 As I recall, Marcus was supposed to be a cross of Larry Z and Bockwinkel. The money and intellect of Bockwinkel as a heel but the stalling and cheating of Larry Z. We use the Larry Z stall in a lot of early matches plus the Super Ninja was an obvious tribute.

Well, that's the AWA Marcus at least. Who knows what I was to supposed to write him like in the E.

At times, that may be accurate!

I do handle a lot of one offs & am completely willing to write someone's character...usually when asked but not always!

It is frustrating to no end that blue is capable of writing Houston better than me. Its quite vexing. PS summers w Doyle would be sweet. Even if not me I think somebody should make it happen

Since Blue was writing all the promos for Marcus anyway, I paid no attention to the OOC matters, as John hadn't been terribly active in this current run, so I still considered it entirely possible that both characters were being written out...a kind of Brock/Goldberg where the characters weren't being shit on by the crowd.

Eh, when Marcus veered off into the bit with Sultan and other matters, I didn't write a lot because it would have led to Stevie just repeating himself for weeks on end. So I waited until Marcus was done with that stuff before RP'ing more.

I will argue the opposite regarding the Stevie/Hudson promo from Blue's nitpick...Stevie's personality has always been that way, big match ahead or not, so I felt like it fit his character that has been established over several runs. It was too early in the night for him to have his "game face" on. I liken it to Lee Trevino or Fuzzy Zoeller constantly talking during tournament rounds, up until it was time to focus.

Besides, you wouldn't let me turn Stevie into a Benoit tribute! :boxing:

I guess Hudson could be Andre Stolz. Aussie who wins a championship after coming out of retirement. Either him or Jack Newton, as he's going to lose an arm celebrating too hard post-PPV.
