I'll settle for word that Brian is alive and well at this point. This much radio silence gets me paranoid. :(

Agreed.

Wish we knew what was going on...

Saw a post finally show up here and figured I'd check it out... Bell IMd me on yahoo last week and said hey....I was off line. I had been trying to contact him about Jake Evans in PVW months ago....but nothing to discuss on that front. At least he tried to catch up with me.

I have seen him post on facebook as well....but it is rare.

He is VERY busy. Got a promotion at the place he works and he honestly did all his on line stuff at the office and was hardly ever on at home. Now his work time is taken up by actual work (dang the man!)....and he still stays off line at home mostly...

He is alive....seemingly happy and well.....just busy as all get out.

Ah yes... the dreaded work/real life combo. I'm all too intimately familiar with that on. As we all are, I'm sure. Either way, let's hope things return to previous form, so we can all return to our love of all things Phoenix

This happened in 2008, too. Work got really busy for Brian and he had to shut down but when things returned to normal he restored PVW. Maybe it happens again.

Let's hope. He was a classy fedhead and inspired a clearly ferocious loyalty amongst his handlers.

2008 was actually more personal stuff for him than work...and the understanding was always that the personal stuff would eventually blow over.

I'm not getting the same feel for the work stuff...this may be his "new normal".

Having been through it myself, I just wish Brian a healthy work-life balance. In this day and age people just pile responsibilities on you until you crack. There were times last year when I could barely enjoy my life because everything had become a responsibility. And then I went to California for a week. God love L.A.! :)

This is fast becoming the new normal in general. In my lifetime, the "middle class" has gone from the husband working 40 hours a week, to both partners working 40 hours a week, to essentially both partners being tethered to their jobs in some capacity 24/7.

That's why the economy is about to go to hell again. There's nothing left to take from people to achieve "growth".

Nobody will admit it but capitalism failed and died in 2008. People cančt buy anything any more and the credit notes have come due. You cannot keep laying off workers to make a company profits and making a smaller workforce work harder and longer and expect the system to be sustainable. There is only so much consumption before we are consumed.

There has to be some marriage between capitalism and socialism in order for us to be sustainable.

I suggest a TNM version of PVW.

PVW and its base of handlers was my last world to conquer. The very thorough breakdown of each character and their motivations is very alluring and also very challenging. If this is the swan song of PVW, I hope this current base groups up somewhere else. I'd definitely plug the keyboard back in for that.

If it goes TNM, I want to bring in "Ice Cold" Shane "eXXXtreme Ass Kicker" Boston.

Man, I thought I was bad.

But... umm... if you're interested...

I kid! I kid!

I just wish Bell would re-emerge from the depths and not make me have to kill off a Von Erich.
