Blue can book his crowd reactions however he wants but, in reality, after all that buildup, the crowd would have shit on any match stip for Craven/Martinez that wasn't "Killing Box".

We're never getting a killing box ever again, after it apparently led to Todd Michaelson and Blue being sued for millions of dollars in e-w kayfabe history.

AWA fans don't want a Killing Box anyways. That ain't their style, playa.

Well, to be honest, after the feds in the past like EMWC, NEO, etc and the zaniness, fans would be bitter about anything. AWA fans cheer shoulder tackles like they used to cheer moonsaults.

And let's not forget, it's not like the heyday of the ROH/Deathmatch/Strong Style fed writing was decades ago. It's newer then the Attitude era or WCW peak by far and people still wish the WWE was like that.

E-W history can be traced as going from hardcore death matches in the early 00s, then shifting to ROH superduper five star workrate fests, the dead period where everything was indytastic, then AWA started this muted, toned down style where actual stip matches are kind of rare. The AWA fanbase would be conditioned to see any match with a stip as something special.

And they usually seem pretty shocked or offended when wrestlers get too violent.

Barbed wire matches are older than some of the people posting on this board, though.

Just sayin'. :D

That's why I was "okay" with the idea of it. I mean, there was a six man tag barbed wire match on the first Clash for crying out loud. Most stip matches that I can justify as having taken place at some point in the 80s, I can handle. It's the stuff beyond that that makes me a bit jumpy... like three way dances and table matches and the like.

CB: This match will be...TWO out of THREE falls!!

So who's Funk and who's Cactus Jack here? I'm thinking Craven's Foley since, well, that's the RL guy people tell me he "sounds" (reads) most like.

Okay, the Foley/Funk barbed wire matches in Japan were actually later than the '80s but whatever. All things considered this seems like a good choice.

Oh, and I've joked about Killing Boxes and Craven, in character, would love one but ... yeah, AWA would never work for that. Seems like, after all this buildup, Craven/Martinez can't end after just one match though.

The big Q here is "what will the second and third, rubber, match be?" Scaffold Match? Cage Match? How about a "cheese grater waterslide match"? Whoops, forgot where I was again. :)
And it was at this moment that the entire world realized, in unison, that tandem bicycles were AWESOME~!

If it worked for Detson vs Hayes...

Besides Joe and Terry, didn't anyone else read the show?

Oh, and RIP Brad Armstrong.  There's gonna be a Russian legsweep in his honor on the next show.  The Lightning Express remains one of my favorite tag teams of all time.  Anyone who wants to make a tag team homage, show some love to Horner and Armstrong!

Brad Armstrong died?!?!?

My wife would not allow me to name our son Bradley, but this calls for a recount.

/grabs birth certificate and heads to courthouse

Brad Armstrong didn't even name himself "Brad" (real name Robert James)

A baby cannot name itself, Petrow! You mean his parents didn't name him Brad.

I would argue that he did name himself Brad when he took that ring name.
"Destruction of Hell" start playing as Mason drop the mic and exit the
ring as fans throw stuffs at him but he punch out most of the fans even
children.

No, I mean that if Robert James had the destrucity of a Warrior, he would have legally converted it to his ring name.

If the Mozespawn feels strongly enough about being Brad, it can happen.

Isn't his middle name "Bradley" anyway?

Tag team turmoil/gauntlet. Start with FOUR teams and each time a team is eliminated another comes out until we're down to four teams. At that point you could end with the next pinfall or go down to the last team standing.
