Barbed wire matches are older than some of the people posting on this board, though.

Just sayin'.  :D

That's why I was "okay" with the idea of it. I mean, there was a six man tag barbed wire match on the first Clash for crying out loud. Most stip matches that I can justify as having taken place at some point in the 80s, I can handle.

So, in-play options include:

* Electrified Cage Match (Thunderdome...save that for the eventual Monosso/Nenshou rematch?)
* Bunkhouse Battle Royal (has AWA ever had one?)
* Wildstyle match (Muta's "Dragon Chi" match)
* Barbed wire cage match (Sheepherders vs Fantastics was the most famous and brutal)
* Scaffold match
* Ganryujima Island Death Match (YouTube it if you have 2 hours of your life you wish to obliterate)

10-Team Steal the Spotlight

That's one of the reasons that I like the idea. With the show on Thanksgiving anyways, it gives us a little nod to the old school Survivor Series concept.

Tag team turmoil/gauntlet. Start with FOUR teams and each time a team is eliminated another comes out until we're down to four teams. At that point you could end with the next pinfall or go down to the last team standing.

You mean Unholy War?

That's pretty much the ultimate tag team stip match in e-w terms.

E-W history can be traced as going from hardcore death matches in the early 00s, then shifting to ROH superduper five star workrate fests, the dead period where everything was indytastic, then AWA started this muted, toned down style where actual stip matches are kind of rare. The AWA fanbase would be conditioned to see any match with a stip as something special.

CB: This match will be...TWO out of THREE falls!!

If it worked for Detson vs Hayes...

Who?

The heel team was stacked! This was just missing my favorite oldschool team.. the Powers of Pain!

Another option in play is the idea of combining a singles STS and a tag STS into a giant ten-man tag STS. Ten guys on each side of the ring.

Thoughts?

I know writing a 10-, or even 8-team STS is going to be tough, but I'd rather see it separate from the traditional singles (8- or 10-men) STS. And I think the card can afford it.

Violence Unlimited, Rockstar Express, Antons, The Hive, Gunnar Gaines & Ryan Martinez vs. The Rave, Longhorn Riders, The Aces, Samoan Hit Squad, Skywalker Jones & Hercules Hammonds

I'd add Novy/Cade over the Hive who are feuding with Hammonds/Jones.

The big Q here is "what will the second and third, rubber, match be?" Scaffold Match? Cage Match? How about a "cheese grater waterslide match"? Whoops, forgot where I was again.

It's either that or the Meatman challenge...and I don't think we have access to a meat factory.

You know, there was an uncomfortable amount of spitting on this show. Could you please try to keep it down to no more than three guys a week?

So long as you keep reacting strongly to the Meatgrinder people will continue to reference it just to get a reaction. Just sayin'.

Edit: God damn me? God damn you, buddy! Yeesh, if there's a single grain of religion in you dude don't say that about a person. It ain't right. :P

Edit2: Hey, Joe, stick with your current animated gif dude. I love the face smashing animation of the obvious raging board troll. Epic.
And it was at this moment that the entire world realized, in unison, that tandem bicycles were AWESOME~!

I was such a Billy Jack Haynes fan when he was in WWF. That feud with Hercules was such simple dumb fun.
