Okay, Mr Sharif, tell me what you think about your opponent. Do you want to, for example, "humble" ...? |
| And it was at this moment that the entire world realized, in unison, that tandem bicycles were AWESOME~! | |

I won't rank them like Guzz did, but I will divide into the ones I am interested in and not interested in. NOT THAT INTERESTED Rave vs. Gaines/Martinez - Nothing against either team, just no build as an add-on match. The Martinez/Gaines team is somewhat interesting, though, and I hope it continue to the Obvious Booking (tm Joe Petrow). MAMMOTH Maximus vs. Giant Aso - I've never really been a fan of behemoths in wrestling (King Kong Bundy being the exception) , and I guess that has carried over into e-w as well. I admittedly don't read things as thoroughly as I should but is Buccaneer Bart a tribute of Captain Lou Albano? William Craven vs. Alex Martinez - This was white-hot when we had the whole Dragon thing going on. I don't know if it's the time that elapsed before the return that cooled it off significantly or what, but I'm not feeling it. I think some of it has to do with the fact that, for me anyway, the AWA really isn't about characters who were big-time 10+ years ago and that's what you have here. It just doesn't feel right in the AWA to me. Unless Craven brings out the bokken. Then it's on like Donkey Kong, jack! INTERESTED The Aces vs. SDW/BVB - This is probably more personal influence than anything as I have always enjoyed the characters of SDW and BVB, and Stevie has a history with both. The possibility of a BVB heel turn to join the Alliance definitely exists as Williams makes a good foil for such a betrayal. Steal the Spotlight - Always a fun match, and a springboard for guys to take it to the next level. Interested to see who gets the push coming out of this match. Good mix of veterans and newcomers in here as well. Really taken a liking to Skywalker Jones and TS3, and I hope to see both of these guys get a bump from this one. Juan Vasquez vs. Calisto Dufresne - This one hasn't drawn the general interest that it should have, given the level of the names of the two competitors. I think it's got a lot to do with the fact that you have a heel-heel match and the story arc of Juan's Revenge has given way to Juan's Heel Turn, which takes away from the revenge factor that this match is built around. Bishops vs. Lynch/Donovan - The tenuous Lynch-Donovan tandem either gets a big win here or ends. Gotta think the Bishops retain but what happens after that with Lynch and Donovan could be interesting. Donovan's frustration has been boiling for a while. James Monosso vs. Supreme Wright - I can't see a hotshot (no pun intended) title switch here, which is why I am not as interested in this one. I think this is probably the starting point of something either breaking down with Wright and Preston, or going to a whole new level. I could see the two splitting up and Preston, as a manager, bringing in someone(s) to go after Wright. Team Sultan vs. Royalty - Mostly interested to see who the two mystery partners are. This could be good or it could be bad depending on those two. I really do like the Royalty angle and I hope it's kicking back up now. VERY INTERESTED Dave Bryant vs. Glenn Hudson - Man, Rob and Wug have really done a great job with this feud. May very well be the hottest feud going at the moment. They've double-handedly elevated the Longhorn Title, which needed it. Joe Petrow vs. Jim Watkins - Yes, it's a manager and an NPC. But the outcome of this match affects so many things. I expect Petrow will go over, ridding us of Watkins and opening the door for a new commissioner and that opens up a lot of possibilities. That's why I like this match. |

Much appreciated. The Preview Show really helped as well as I wasn't really familiar with a few back stories (like why the Sultan hated Langseth for example) so it's nice to be in the loop and understand all the feuds. |

I liked how subtly dickish Langseth's promo was. Cooper basically goads Sharif out of the Sharif-Langseth match he wanted, and then Langseth claims cowardice because Sharif refuses to face him one-on-one. That is perfect for getting under the skin of an easily-dupable fellow like Sharif. :-) |

I liked that he left the interview for an undisclosed amount of time to cool off and come back to Dane who was reduced to reading off cue cards. Brilliant. |

I like how Petrow brings out the worst in everyone! Surely that's the first time that two men have both worn the crimson mask during their pre-match promo? |

That's how muddled things become when open enrollment season hits at work. Everything I read goes into the blender of my mind, and I end up confusing stuff because I have to use my limited ability to focus to keep work stuff straight. |
