I know. The tag division's so good right now, I'm half tempted to make a Miracle Violence Connection knock-off to throw in there.

I know Blue's got a Dr. Death clone, but where's my Gordy!?!?!

Screw all that, we need a Freebirds. And I've been tempted. VERY tempted. But seeing how I never seem to get stuff in for the two characters I HAVE... :(

The original plan was for the Southern Syndicate to be more of a Freebirds-type group with Stevie playing the part of Michael Hayes. But we couldn't find the right mix of characters to make that happen, so we went the Horsemen-ish route instead.
"Destruction of Hell" start playing as Mason drop the mic and exit the
ring as fans throw stuffs at him but he punch out most of the fans even
children.

If memory serves me.. we had planned a Houston turn when he was champ and Houston/Scott were gonna become Freebirdsesque... but I'm old and my memory isn't what it used to be.

EDIT: Dammit! Anytime the Freebirds are mentioned I start humming "Freebirds, runnin' wild and free" under my breath. Bloody catchy! I'll be humming this all night now...

 Oh I can. Just put some Southern Confederate gear on him and a flat crowned Cowboy hat, ditch the "giant" type moves (chokeslams, etc) for some more rugged brawling and he's a reasonable Gordy facsimile. That would fit like a glove, I think.

Yes, we did. IIRC, you weren't completely sure you wanted to turn Houston heel, and then you went inactive to make it a moot point.

But I agree with Andy...a few tweaks and Houston could have been very Gordy-like.

 Damn you, Terry. Now I have to have that bouncing around my head.

Oh, and yes, the 'Birds were Plan A for the Southern Syndicate with the original plan being Stevie as PS, Houston as Gordy, and Dufresne as Buddy Jack. I believe Grant Stone was also considered for Gordy. There was also talk of a TCR/Stevie/Dufresne Freebirds at some point. I think Lopez' name got mentioned. Jack Greene was discussed. Bobby Taylor. MJV and Tim Sanders got Buddy Jack discussion.

Goodness, we considered a lot of people for that.

So, yes... please make the MVC. And someone could make the 'Birds too.

 That list of tags makes me miss the good ole days. Wish the 'Big Two' would get their heads out of their butts and start making REAL tag teams again.

Just a kudos- To all of you in the tag team division. You guys are doing an AWESOME job and i have never seen a tag division more skilled or deep. What a great read from all you guys. [And the AWA as a whole.. but this is a kudos for the tag teams damnit!]

I tried a Roadies-type team and I sucked with them. Maybe one day I will try again. Or give them to someone who can actually handle a tag team.
