 Any of you have any kind of knack for the coding behind MediaWiki? Or hell, any other type of wiki?

Just noticed tonight that the wiki is overrun with spam and I'm having trouble breaking through the coding enough to figure out how to fix it. I don't mind going through and deleting the spam pages but I want to make sure it doesn't happen again if I do.

 On a second note, anyone with experience on Google Sites? I saw a website suggesting using their wiki template. Seems easy enough to customize and edit as well as limiting posting access to specific individuals. Anyone ever used Google Sites for anything and enjoyed the experience?
