He used one of my questions fairly recently. I was honored!
"Destruction of Hell" start playing as Mason drop the mic and exit the
ring as fans throw stuffs at him but he punch out most of the fans even
children.

Why do you think it didn't succeed, and shouldn't have succeeded, nationally? They had good workers, good talkers, a mixture of styles with their roster back then. Why didn't it work?

For the same reason that country music and NASCAR driving didn't catch on in the North back in the 80's. It needed to evolve to capture that market, and it didn't do that.

WWF fans of the 80's were conditioned to like big musclebound guys in comical, over-the-top stories. Fat Dusty Rhodes going over Lex Luger was not what they were interested in seeing, and a limousine-riding, jet-flying, wheelin' dealin' kiss-stealin' - WOOOOO! - son-of-a-gun is going to get a face reaction in Chicago.
