I've said it before. The allure of PVW and now OSW is the propensity for people to take a hacksaw to every RP and dissect shit.

Let's hear it!

Hacksaws and dissection away!

* Keith Tyler

===> And we start off with my character. I know where I want to go with Tyler, and it's a bit of a slow build- will be curious about the reaction he brings.

* “Rowdy” Jon Rawlins

===> Overexurberant rookie face. It's a decent flash, and we don't have many in the WWE or TNA who are like that. Good way to establish a face in a new fed.

* Ian Finnegan

===> OK- new character to me, but sounds like he's been around for a while. Getting a Tommy Stephens "Lovable Loser" vibe out of him, but I might be reading the character completely wrong.

* “Angry” Angus Andrus

===> Another down-on-his luck veteran. Both of the flashes are pretty good, but Finnegan and Andrus are too close alike- they'll need something to separate themselves.

* “Prom King” Frank Wilkes

===> Blech. I'm probably too much of a prude to appreciate a "Registered Sex Offender" gimmick. I'm hoping the flash means that he's competely abandoning that gimmick and finding a new one.

* Bang Bang Mangum

===> Classic "Mean ornery brawling heel" promo. Very well done. Looking forward to seeing Mangum in OSW.

* “So Cool” Shiloh

===> It's a strange combination. You've got a character who looks like Buff Bagwell, sounds like Boss Hogg, and has a message like Tommy Dreamer. It's a bunch of different parts that don't fit right. Quick- name a pretty boy hardcore wrestler.

The challenge for Shiloh to succeed is to make the parts fit into a full character. Let's see if he can do it.

* Rob Nolan

===> Another 'redemption' character, like Finnegan and Andrus. Not drunk, and also has more backstory- we know why Nolan is trying to make a comeback. My favorite flash on the show.

Can't wait for the show.

The RSO thing was always more really nice guy who couldn't catch a break than child molester jokes - which this unfortunately ran rampant with. Still you are correct sir, that gimmick is dead.

Really looking forwards to the show; awesome turnout gents - loved it all, especially Nolan, who was a ridiculously strong finish.

Getting a Cactus Jack vibe off of Mangum. Definitely agree that Nolan was the best flash on the card.

Haha, thanks baby boy.

I guess Ian could fit in the "lovable loser" archetype, I guess I never thought of it that way. The whole concept behind the duo was always just Blackie on Vicodin and me on Xanax in IRC done as an e-w tag team. I'd it about a decade ago but never for any prolonged run anywhere. Interested to see what I can do here.

I'm proud to be one of the few people left who actually saw those encounters as they happened.

I have to stop assuming everyone's read the Angus backstory and make it clearer in flash. It'll get better. Plus there is a purpose... not just down on the ol' luck ^_^ A slower build's abrewing much like your character (in a much different way, I would assume)

Love that Joe Reed's involved with the new character by the way!

Whoo! Writing a match, seeking a wake-me-up motivator... and there's 10 replies to the Flashback thread. I love you guys. :)

Obviously a Moo Review probably not totally appropriate now that I'm the booker, heh. But I will say... there was nothing I DIDN'T like on the flash show, which is rare for a first flash show. The people involved in the announced matches have done a wonderful job selling their characters and making it easier for me to get at what they're going for.

I also assure, on behalf of the guys putting in the work... that just about every question asked or curiosity pondered so far will have at least some degree of clarification on the show. There isn't a single match that exists on Insession just to exist and give match time to characters. Every single match on the show has some sort of story to tell... and the characters you may not know now will, if I do a decent enough job, hopefully be a little more clear post-show. :)

Well, you could always do what Blue does on occasion for AWA and add your two cents as to why you Did What You Did afterwards. ;)

I agree that Rob Nolan's flash was an absolute home run. That isn't to say I didn't like a lot of other guys' work, but yeah... very, very strong promo.

Overall there's a really strong thematic fit between roster and promotion - given the "win and you're in, lose and no contract for you" nature of the two tryout matches in particular, I really like that pretty much everyone is coming in with a unique spin on this either being a first big break or a last chance for their character. It just feels like these would be the guys who signed on to this type of fed IRL, and it really solves the problem of how to add drama for a first show before feuds have been established.

I second this. Always fun to hear what the fed head thinks of his/others work!

No conflict of interest in E-W... well, less conflict. Sort of.
