Many thanks for the interest shown so far, I’m amazed we’ve had so many applications in such a short space of time, especially how hard it is to get feds going nowadays. I’ll be dishing these updates out every week, they will feature line-ups, roster changes, news and crap jokes.

If you think I’ve missed something then drop me a line at swleague at AOL dot com.

I just want to recap that the Superstar Wrestling League is a start up company with no real experience, hence the shitty name and the fact we’re running shows on a Sunday afternoon. We won’t be running world tours, hiring limos for the guys and there’ll be as much pyro on our shows as my six year old sisters birthday party.

I want to push the envelope, be a little different and allow for everyone to be as creative as possible. That said, I want this place to be realistic, I want ‘SWL’ to grow as the characters grow; hopefully we can get a real team vibe to the joint.

Finally, I’ll be keeping an archive of all these updates, ‘Speak Your Minds’ and ‘Dynamite TV’ on our blog which can be found here http://swleague.wordpress.com I’m considering PDFing them too so you can take them on the go with your smartphones/tablets.

Peace,
Chris

* Executive Producer Doc Brown has been talking with a few other promotions recently, either to try and gauge interest on affiliation or to acquire talent for a series of shows for an upcoming SWL tour.

* Negro Tapia has been working out pretty much nonstop since he arrived in High Valley. His last match was in Mexico City on 17 January when he won an eight man Torneo Cibernetico to become the first and last SWS Mexican Wrestling Champion. The company shut down a few days later leaving him high and dry. He’s not expected to be the last member of the LUCHA MX roster to show up in SWL.

* Several Japanese wrestling magazines have called the office about attending the first SWL show to cover Shi Tsuyoki’s match in America. ‘The Buffalo’ has a fearsome reputation in the land of the rising sun.

* Color Commentator and local Taxi Cab driver Marty The Cabbie has proposed to re-brand his Yellow Cab to advertise the upcoming debut show of DYNAMITE TV. Doc Brown is currently negotiating a fee, thought to be around $150, Marty initially wanted two grand.

….DYNAMITE TV # 1

A one night eight man ‘PRIZEFIGHTER’ tournament will take place featuring two four man elimination matches with the winners meeting later in the night to crown the first NATIONAL CHAMPION!

The first four man elimination contest will feature SHI TSUYOKI who is one of the early favourites, trained in the infamous Cobra Pro Dojo in Japan, he is a vicious competitor, whose strikes, suplexes and Lariat have been known to end many a match. How will he deal with MADHU KARNA the Iranian Madman, known for concealing a metal spike in his boots, Senior referee Wayne West has confirmed that he will pay special attention to the former member of the Revolutionary Guard. Next up is another international star NEGRO TAPIA, originally from San Diego, he returned to Mexico to learn Lucha Libre. He hasn’t wrestled since January when he won the SWS Mexican Wrestling Championship, can he make it two titles in two matches? The final contestant is LARRY MULLIGAN, a former college football star who like Shi Tsuyoki loves to throw a lariat. He’s headlined many independent shows and is looking to step up to the plate and compete at the top level in SWL.

The second four man elimination sees JEFF MICHAELS once again put his body on the line as he does every time he steps through the ropes. Michaels has won over an army of fans during his short wrestling career for competing in some crazy high risk speciality matches. It’s not going to be easy though as SIMON DEXTER HENDERSON is a real specimen, a former powerlifter and Amateur wrestler SDH has it all: strength, agility and the desire to win, the only thing that could hold him back is his own arrogance. The third competitor TOMMY MCMASTER is a real force, an enigma and a unique personality who comes to SWL with a growing reputation and intimidating physical statue. The final wrestler SUPER BRUISER is a monster, tipping the scales at nearly 400lbs, Super Bruiser might not be the most agile of competitors but his forearm smashes, clothesline and dreaded Powerslam are enough to beat most men.

National Championship Match
Prizefighter Final
Prizefighter Semi-Final Winner 1 v Prizefighter Semi-Final Winner 2

Prizefighter Semi Final 2
Jeff Michaels v Simon Dexter Henerson v ‘Wildfire’ Tommy McMaster v Super Bruiser

Prizefighter Semi FInal 1
