The ring is set up in the middle of the gym, tiered seating is fairly full on all four sides of the ring.] Dougie Wright: …TO THE SUPERSTAR WRESTLING LEAGUE…. [The camera reaches the announcers desk where Dougie Wright and Marty The Cabbie are sat. Standing behind them are a bunch of kids standing right behind the guard railings waving to the camera.] Dougie Wright: This is Dynamite TV and tonight we will crown the very first National Champion. I'm Dougie Wright and sitting to my right is former North Carolina wrestling mainstay Marty The Cabbie. Marty The Cabbie: Marty will do just fine…but if you're in the Hill Valley area and looking for an affordable, safe and reliable taxi service you can call... Dougie Wright: …and that's enough of that because tonight we will see a one night Prizefighter tournament where the winner shall walk away with the National Championship. Eight of the top stars in the world will compete in tour for man elimination matches before two winners will meet in tonight's main event. Marty The Cabbie: We're also fully insured and registered with… Dougie Wright: …before we get on with the show I want to introduce the wonderfully talented Jessica Pussycat our resistant reporter, let's go to her live backstage. A few week behind her is Mr. Yama the Japanese manager of Shi Tsuyoki. Yama is sat on a bench looking at his client stretch on the floor. He has his boots on as well as sweat pants and a hooded sweatshirt.] [Jessica touches her ear….she's LIVE] Jessica Pussycat: Thanks Dougie, it's great to be here on Dynamite TV! I'm backstage in the locker room of one of tonight's favourites Shi Tsuyoki who comes to SWL with a great reputation from Japan. [Tsuyoki is focused, he ignores to glamourous and beautiful woman in front of him and concentrates on his breathing.] Jessica Pussycat: As you can see behind me as he goes through his final pre-match preparations Shi Tsuyoki looks in great shape and I know everyone is excited to see him in action later on. Throughout the show I'll be backstage giving you all the exclusive news and reaction to all the matches. [Pause] Jessica Pussycat: Back to ringside… [Cut to…] --------------------------------------------- 3 - 'The Buffalo' Shi Tsuyoki v Negro Tapia v 'Iranian Madman' Madhu Karna v Larry Mulligan --------------------------------------------- [Ring Announcer Zack Cobb is standing in the ring.] Dougie Wright: It's time to get this show on the road, one of these four men will challenge for the National Championship later in the evening. Zack Cobb: This match is a semi-final match up in the Prizefighter Tournament and is a fourway elimination contest ['Scalped' by Dick Dale starts to play] Zack Cobb: …coming to the ring from Sweatwater, Texas… [Larry Mulligan storms through the curtain and pumps his left fist in the air, absorbing the fans reaction.] Zack Cobb: Weighing in at… [Larry Mulligan slaps hands with fans as he makes his way towards the ring.] Zack Cobb:.. 280lbs….LARRY MULLIGAN! [Larry Mulligan climbs onto the apron, feeding off the energy from the gymnasium.] Zack Cobb: The next competitor… ['Warriors of Time' by Black Tide starts to play. Zack Cobb: Coming to the ring from San Diego, California… [Negro Tapia bounces through the entranceway, dressed in his full body blue skeleton lucha costume and mask.] Zack Cobb: …weighing in at 221lbs… [Tapia sprints down the aisle before sliding into the ring.] Zack Cobb: NEGRO TAPIA! ['Lights and Sounds' by Yellowcard starts to play.] Zack Cobb: The next competitor, weighs in at 301lbs… [Madhu Karna walks through the curtain, Professor Shripati follows him..] Zack Cobb: Accompanied by his manager Professor Shripati… [Karna is dressed in baggy black trousers, he scratches his beard, his eyes look deranged, on his head is the traditional Arab head-dress the Keffiyeh.] Zack Cobb: He is 'THE IRANIAN MADMAN' MADHU KARNA! [Karna looks uncontrollable, his mouth almost watering, Professor Shripati tries to calm him down.] Zack Cobb: And finally... ['Graduation' by Alice Nine starts to play.] Zack Cobb: Coming to the ring from Hiroshima, Japan… [Mr Yama walks out, sharp suit and rubbing his hands together. He's followed by Shi Tsuyoki.] Zack Cobb:…weighing in at 258lbs, accompanied by his manager… [Tsuyoki has black boots, black knee pads and black trunks. His eyes are firmly set on the ring, determined, focused and about to explode.] Zack Cobb:…Mr Yama, he is 'THE BUFFALO' SHI TSUYOKI! [Tsuyoki stands at ringside, he bows to Mr Yama who returns the favour before climbing onto the apron and stepping into the ring.] Dougie Wright: Remember folks this is an elimination match, the winner goes onto main event tonight to wrestle for the National Championship. Marty The Cabbie: This is the first match in the history of the Superstars Wrestling League, everyone here is wanting to make an impression. DING DING Dougie Wright: And here we go. [All four men start to circle each other in the ring.] Dougie Wright: As an ex-wrestler, what would you do here Marty? Marty The Cabbie: Quit and start driving Taxis. [Larry Mulligan turns and hits Madhu Karna with a big kick to the stomach, it doubles him over and he drops to the canvas before rolling out of the ring. Negro Tapia then almost immediately hits Mulligan with a dropkick that sends him over the top ope to the ringside area.] Dougie Wright: The ring clearing quickly. [Shi Tsuyoki forearms the masked luchador and sends him across the ring with an Irish whip. Tapia ducks a back elbow and hits the ropes on the opposite side before jumping into the air and taking down Tsuyoki.] Dougie Wright: Cross Body Block! [Tsuyoki rolls him off without the referee even being able to count.] Marty The Cabbie: Not even a one count. [As soon as Tsuyoki gets to his feet Negro Tapia takes him down with a single leg. He lets go of the leg and hits the ropes to the side.] Marty The Cabbie: I hate it when Luchadors let go of the leg, it doesn't make any sense. [Tapia bounces off the ropes, Tsuyoki tries to trip him up but Tapia jumps over him and runs the ropes again. Tsuyoki gets to his feet and goes for a hippos, Tapia blocks it, slaps the stomach of Tsuyoki and places his leg over Tsuyokis head before summersaulting backwards and armdragging Tsuyoki out of the ring.] Dougie Wright: Tapia looking impressive! [Negro Tapia doesn't see him but on the far side of the ring Madhu Karna climbs into the ring, he hits Tapia with a martial arts thrust to the throat that drops him to one knee.] Marty The Cabbie: Oh what a right hand. [Karna bends down and fiddles with his boot.] Dougie Wright: What's the Iranian doing here? [Karna pulls out six inch spike and digs it into the mask of Tapia, ripping it open.] Marty The Cabbie: Oh my god, what's he doing? [Blood starts pouring from Tapia's face, the referee takes a closer look and sees the spike.] Dougie Wright: Karna is nuts…. [The referee waves to the timekeeper.] Zack Cobb: Ladies and gentlemen, the referee has disqualified Madhu Karna at a time of three minutes and 59 seconds. [Karna doesn't know what's going on, he keeps stabbing Tapia in the head, the referee tries to pull him away but gets scared off by the spike.] Dougie Wright: We need some help out here. Marty The Cabbie: Tapia is in real trouble here, he looks a state, his mask has turned from blue to red. [Professor Shripati enters the ring, he tries to reason with Karna who finally releases Negro Tapia to fall into a puddle of his own blood.] Dougie Wright: Madhu Karna has just thrown away his chance of not only winning this match but becoming the first National Champion. Marty The Cabbie: Surely he'll get suspended for this. Dougie Wright: You've got to think so, we can't have behaviour like this every show. [Shripati manages to get Karna out of the ring. Mulligan is straight in there with a cover.] Marty The Cabbie: Larry Mulligan looks to take advantage… ONE TWO […] THREE! Zack Cobb: Negro Tapia has been eliminated at a time of 5 minutes and 17 seconds. Dougie Wright: Mulligan might have just picked up the pin but it was Madhu Karna who caused Negro Tapia to be eliminated. Marty The Cabbie: I think we're going to need some medical attention down here. [A couple of referees and a medic hit the ring.] Dougie Wright: Tapia has lost a lot of blood. [Tsuyoki slides into the ring and hits Mulligan with a big martial arts kick that sends him backwards to the corner.] Marty The Cabbie: It looks like this match could be over quickly and what an advantage that would be to the winner. [Shi Tsuyoki sends Mulligan to the opposide corner with a big Irish whip, he sprints towards him but Mulligan gets a boot up which connects with the face of The Buffalo...] Dougie Wright: BAM! Straight in the kisser. [...Tsuyoki stumbles back holding his face, he gets his bearings and steams in again but once more Mulligan kicks him in the face.] Dougie Wright: And again… Marty The Cabbie: He needs to capitalise, take the advantage. [Down on one knee Tsuyoki holds his face, Mulligan grabs Tsuyoki's head and pulls him to his feet….As soon as he's upright Tsuyoki pushes Mulligan back into the corner and storms in with back elbow.] Dougie Wright: What determination, what resilience from The Buffalo. [Tsuyoki plants both his feet on the ground and measures up Mulligan before swing his left foot into the side of Mulligan's torso. The air shoots out of Mulligan's body before he swings his fist, connecting with a big right hand to the face of Tsuyoki.] Marty The Cabbie: One thing is for sure, both Mulligan and Tsuyoki can hurt you, be it with kicks or punches. [Tsuyoki drives his shoulder into the mid-section of Mulligan…still bent over he uses his tree trunk legs to power up and lift Mulligan onto the top rope.] Dougie Wright: Tsuyoki could be going for a superplex here, this isn't great for Mulligan. Marty The Cabbie: He really needs these fans to get behind him. [Mulligan sits on the top rope, his mouth his wide open as he desperately tries to get his wind back…Tsuyoki climbs up, his expression hasn't changed all match, he delivers a headbutt that snaps Mulligan's head back...] THUD! Dougie Wright: Mother of God what a headbutt! […blood starts to trickle down the face of Mulligan, only a little but enough to notice it in his own eyes.] Marty The Cabbie: Shi Tsuyoki is delivering one of the most professional displays I've ever seen. Dougie Wright: It's not over yet, he still needs to get the job done. [Mulligan wipes the blood from his eyes as Tsuyoki climbs to the top rope, he pulls up Mulligan so they are both standing high above the ring…] Dougie Wright: Two big men on the top rope there. […Tsuyoki throws Mulligan's arm around his neck and grabs a handful of his tights, bridging back and throwing Mulligan into the air both men almost glide down onto the strife, unforgiving canvas below.] Dougie Wright: What a superplex. Can Tsuyoki make a cover, get the pin and move into the final of this one night Prizefighter tournament…and become the first National Champion! [Tsuyoki rolls over and wraps both hands around one of Mulligan's legs.] Marty The Cabbie: COVER! ONE TWO KICK OUT! Dougie Wright: Mulligan gets a shoulder up. [The referee pushes two fingers into the face of Tsuyoki without even being asked. The Japanese superstar then pulls him his knee pads as he gets to his feet….at ringside the normally charismatic Mr Yama is trying to calm his client down, telling him not to do a nothing stupid.] Marty The Cabbie: This match has been brutal, whoever wins the second Semi-Final surely has the advantage, that match can't be anywhere near as brutal as this one. Dougie Wright: Maybe…but remember that the winner of this match will get a longer break before the Final. [Mulligan is lifted to his feet…Tsuyoki sends him across the ring into the ropes, he bounces off them and Tsuyoki throws a big lariat but Mulligan ducks it…] Dougie Wright: That could have been the end right there… […he comes off the ropes again but Shi Tsuyoki lifts Mulligan up onto his shoulders with a fireman's carry. Without wasting anytime Mulligan starts raining down elbows into the side of Tsuyoki's head forcing him to drop Mulligan on his feet behind Tsuyoki.] Marty The Cabbie: It seems like Mulligan is in survival mode at the moment. […Mulligan grabs Tsuyoki around the waist from the side and bridges back, dropping Tsuyoki down on his shoulders and the back of his head…] Dougie Wright: Belly to back suplex, that should keep Tsuyoki down. Marty The Cabbie: And the cover.. ONE TWO KICK OUT! […Despite Tsuyoki only just kicking out, he gets to his feet quicker than Mulligan who resorts to pulling himself up using the ropes…Mulligan is on the receiving end of a kick to the stomach.] SLAP! Marty The Cabbie: Oh what a chop! Dougie Wright: Tsuyoki just chopped the life out of Mulligan! [Mulligan is leaning against the ropes, Tsuyoki with an Irish whip but Mulligan reverses it. Tsuyoki comes off the ropes and Mulligan scoops him up, turns in the air and sends him crashing down to the canvas.] Dougie Wright: Big powerslam! ONE TWO KICK OUT! Marty The Cabbie: He nearly had him there. Dougie Wright: The fans can't believe he kicked out from that. [Mulligan raises his left arm signalling to the fans.] Marty The Cabbie: Here it comes…. Dougie Wright: Are we going to see his famous Lariat? [Mulligan drops to a knee as Tsuyoki gets up, he has his back to Mulligan and turns…MULLIGAN SPRINTS….] Dougie Wright: LLLLLLLAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTT!!! Marty The Cabbie: ONE TWO […] KICK OUT!!! Dougie Wright: How on earth? Marty The Cabbie: Mulligan can't believe it…. I don't think even the referee can believe it. [Mulligan drives his boot into the side of Tsuyoki's head and he rolls out onto the ring apron.] Dougie Wright: Tsuyoki managed to kick out but he looks pretty shaken up. [Mulligan bends over the ropes and pulls Tsuyoki up to his feet, he gives him a dig before pulling him into a front facelook.] Marty The Cabbie: Looks like Larry Mulligan is going to suplex Tsuyoki back into the ring. [Tsuyoki is lifted into the air for a suplex but mid-flight he turns his body and lands behind Mulligan in a reverse waist lock….] Dougie Wright:…German Suplex ONE TWO […] Marty The Cabbie: KICK OUT [Mulligan rolls backwards and straight to his feet, he wins back and throws another big Lariat but this time Tsuyoki ducks.] Dougie Wright: School Boy Roll-Up! ONE TWO […] THREE!!!! Marty The Cabbie: He's done it…. He's done it! Dougie Wright: Shi Tsuyoki has just wrestled the match of his night, but has it taken to much out of him, can he do it again later tonight? Zack Cobb: The winner of this match in a time of 16 minutes and 12 seconds…. 'The Buffalo' Shi Tsuyoki! --------------------------------------------- 4 - Bloodbath --------------------------------------------- [Backstage in a sterile room, Negro Tapia is laid out on a medical bed. He is surrounded by backstage staff, crew, referees and a medic. There's so many of them you cannot see his face but on the floor is his bloody and torn up mask, its sat in a puddle of its own blood.] Dougie Wright [V/O]: Negro Tapia looks a real mess here. [A production guy enters the room, panting and out of breath.] Production Guy: The ambulance is here. [Paramedics enter the room, people clear and we see the bed is also covered in blood.] Medic: We think he may have burst an artery. [Cut away..] --------------------------------------------- 4 - Jeff Michaels v Simon Dexter Henerson v ‘Wildfire’ Tommy McMaster v Super Bruiser --------------------------------------------- [Zack Cobb is standing in the ring.] Zack Cobb: This match is a semi-final match up in the Prizefighter Tournament and is a fourway elimination contest… ['Loaded' by Venom starts to play and Jeff Michaels walks through the curtain.] Zack Cobb: Coming to the ring weighing in a 230lbs… [Michaels has cut-off jean shorts on and a white vest. His wet hair covers his face.] Zack Cobb: Hailing from New York City…. [He runs his fingers through his hair as he makes his way towards the squared circle.] Zack Cobb: JEFF MICHAELS! [Michaels slides into the ring and heads straight to a cover where he slumps down onto his ass.] Zack Cobb: The next compeitor… ['Last Hope' by Paramore starts to play.] Zack Cobb: Weighing in at 390lbs… [Super Bruiser walks through the curtain in a red singlette with black mask, he's massive, sweat already flying off his large chest.] Zack Cobb: He comes to the ring from Kansas City…. [Bruiser moves slowly down the aisle.] Zack Cobb: He is SUPER BRUISER!! [Bruiser shouts at the fans, he's an intimidating force.] Zack Cobb: The third competitor… ['The Light' by Common starts to play] Zack Cobb: Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina. [Simon Dexter Henderson walks through the curtains, gold and red trunks, sunglasses and covered in oil.] Zack Cobb: Tipping the scales at 273lbs… [Dexter leaps onto the apron without much effort and then vaults over the top rope into the ring. Zack Cobb: SIMON DEXTER HENDERSON! [SDH goes straight over to the corner where Jeff Michaels is but the referee stands between them.] Zack Cobb: And finally…. ['To Burn It Up' by Slavia starts to play] Zack Cobb: From Anywhere, New Mexico. [Tommy McMaster walks out looking all business.] Zack Cobb: Weighing in at 256lbs…. [He has red boots, black shorts and a red tank top on.] Zack Cobb: 'WILDFIRE' TOMMY McMASTER! [McMaster slides into the ring and immiditaly gets stomped on by SDH.] Dougie Wright: And we're off. DING DING [SDH pulls up McMaster and sends him across the ring with an Irish whip, SDH goes for a big hiptoss but McMaster blocks it…SDH throws a line but McMaster ducks it and carries on across the ring and into the ropes. SDH turns round and…] Dougie Wright; BIG SHOUDLER TACKLE FROM S..D..H! [McMaster rolls out of the ring and onto the apron, Super Bruiser runs at SDH and hits him with his entire body sending him rolling back into the corner.] Marty The Cabbie: Belly attack… [Super Bruiser bends over to pull SDH up to his feet but Jeff Michaels gives him a big dropkick that sends both of them pushed up into the corner.] Dougie Wright: That dropkick came out of nowhere. [Jeff Michaels goes for a bit Irish whip but Super Bruiser reverses it and Michaels crashes into the corner on the far side of the ring…Bruiser goes through gears and heads towards Michaels…] BANG [He eats a boot] Dougie Wright: Bruiser took that in the face, but he's still standing. [Michaels runs out at the dazed Bruiser but gets taken down with a big right hand.] Marty The Cabbie: I think it's going to be a real task to take down that big man. We might have to see some of Jeff Michaels famous daredevil antics to win this one. [SDH slides into the ring and chop blocks Super Bruiser from behind.] Dougie Wright: He just ripped his knee out its socket. Marty The Cabbie: That's how you take a big man down. [SDH stomps away on the knee…Tommy McMaster comes into the ring, he pushes SDH to the side and also stomps on the knee of Super Bruiser.] Dougie Wright: They're taking it in turns to trying to destroy Super Bruiser's knee here. [Super Bruiser tries to pull himself up to his feet but SDH knees him in the face and he falls towards Tommy McMaster who pulls both his legs out from under him and locks him in a Texas Cloverleaf.] Marty The Cabbie: This could be it, this could be it! [Super Bruiser starts to tap.] Zack Cobb: Super Bruiser has been eliminated at at time of 3 minutes and 57 seconds. [Jeff Michaels jumps McMaster from behind and sends him to the ropes, Michaels leap frogs him and tries to go for a dropkick but McMaster holds onto the ropes.] Dougie Wright Michaels misses a dropkick. [SDH drops a leg on Michaels and goes for a cover.] Marty The Cabbie: SDH is trying to capitalise… ONE …. Dougie Wright: He kicks out. [Michaels pushes SDH off and as he gets to his feet, McMaster grabs SDH from behind and lifts him up…big waist lock take down. McMaster spins round into a front facelock but SDH quickly reverses and pushes McMaster into a hammerlock.] Marty The Cabbie: This may break into a wrestling match if they're not careful. [McMaster turns his body quickly and gets to his feet and throws his right elbow backwards connecting with the jaw of SDH. He runs forward and into the ropes, he comes off them but McMaster sends him flipping into the air with a knee to the stomach.] Dougie Wright: That was right in the mid-section. [Michaels pulls himself up in the corner and hits McMaster with a leg lariat that sends him to the canvas.] Marty The Cabbie: Pin by Michaels…. ONE TWO Dougie Wright: McMaster kicks straight out. [SDH grabs Michaels and whips him into the corner, SDH follows him in but Michaels vaults over him and lands behind locking SDH into a waistlock. He pushes Henderson into the turnbuckle and rolls back pinning SDH's shoulders to the mat.] Marty The Cabbie: ONE TWO Kick out! [SDH rolls to his feet and swings a clothesline at Michaels but he ducks and school boys him.] Dougie Wright: ONE TWO Kick Out! [McMaster grabs Michaels and tosses him through the ropes to the outside.] Dougie Wright: We saw the first semi-final end with a school boy roll up and we nearly saw the second one end with the exact same move. [McMaster takes the head of SDH and lift him up.] Marty The Cabbie: Great strength by McMaster to lift up SDH. [McMaster bridges backwards and tosses SDH across the ring.] Dougie Wright: Beautifully executed fall away slam…and a cover! ONE TWO SDH kicks out! Marty The Cabbie: I think who ever eliminates SDH they will win this match. Dougie Wright: What if they cant? Marty The Cabbie: Then SDH will obviously win the match knuckle head. [Michaels is back on the apron, he pulls back on the top rope and springboards into the air for a cross body attack but McMaster catches him in mid-flight and bridges sending him crashing across the ring.] Dougie Wright: And now he fall away slams Jeff Michaels. Marty The Cabbie: Another cover… ONE TWO Dougie Wright: Kick out! [McMaster lifts up Jeff Michaels onto his shoulders.] Marty The Cabbie: This could be it? Dougie Wright: If he hits the Wing and a Prayer it'll be over… [McMaster is nailed with an elbow by Michaels who manages to wriggle free and drop behind McMaster. Michaels then pushes McMaster forward who runs straight into SDH who is getting to his feet.] Dougie Wright: SDH catches him with a boot to the mid-section… [SDH lifts Michaels up onto his shoulders and drops him down into a sit-down powerbomb.] Dougie Wright: SDH BOMB! ONE TWO … [Michaels kicks out] Marty The Cabbie: OH MY GOD! This kid is insane. [SDH can't believe it, he pulls Michales to his feet and bends him over into a standing headscissors again.] Dougie Wright: The first didn't work, but how about a second… [SDH grab Michaels, he goes to lift him onto his shoulder for a powerbomb but McMaster elbows him in the face from the side. SDH falls to his knees while Tommy McMaster lifts up Michaels onto his shoulders.] Marty The Cabbie: WING AND A PRAYER… HE HIT IT… HE HIT IT! ONE … TWO THREE! Dougie Wright: Great move from Tommy McMaster there, he could have gone after SDH but he knew that Jeff Michaels had just been SDH Bombed! Zack Cobb: Jeff Michaels has been eliminated at a time of 10 minutes and 39 seconds! [SDH climbs to his feet, McMaster goes to lift him up but SDH cuts him off and sends him to the corner. SDH runs in and hits a big clothesline in the corner, he pulls him out and positions him for an SDH Bomb.] Marty The Cabbie: This could be the end of Tommy McMaster's night. [Tommy McMaster stands up and SDH is sent summersaulting into the air with a back body block.] Dougie Wright: Great reversal there from 'Wildfire' Tommy McMaster. [McMaster grabs the feet of SDH as he lays flat on his back.] Marty The Cabbie: Tommy McMaster might be going for the Cloverleaf, we sometimes see that when he really gets desperate for the win. [SDH kicks McMaster back and he falls into the corner. SDH climbs to his feet, as he goes to grab McMaster he gets a forearm to the face that sends him backwards and spinning in 360 degrees.] Dougie Wright: SDH thought he'd escaped but then took that big forearm to the face. And remember the winner goes on to face 'The Buffalo' Shi Tsuyoki for the National Championship pretty much straight after this match. [McMaster lifts SDH onto his shoulders] Marty The Cabbie: Wing and a Prayer? [McMaster throws SDH forward and jumps into the air aiming do drive his face into his knees like for a codebreaker but SDH grabs his legs as McMaster drops to his feet.] Dougie Wright: No… [SDH grabs both legs and turns him over into a Boston Crab] Marty The Cabbie: This isn't going to be nice for Tommy McMaster, the pain will be burning his lower back. [Tommy McMaster reaches out and grabs the bottom rope.] Dougie Wright: He was just too close to the ropes. Marty The Cabbie: If he had locked that in - in the middle of the ring, he might have had a chance of making him tap out. Dougie Wright: After being locked in that Boston crab, he's surely not able to kick out if SDH hits him with a SDH Bomb? [Tommy McMaster pulls himself up on the ropes, his back to the ring, as soon as he turns round SDH kicks him in the stomach to set up for the SDH Bomb.] Marty The Cabbie: Here we go? [McMaster is up on SDH's shoulders in a powerbomb position, he starts raining down with punches.] Dougie Wright: Can Tommy McMaster escape this SDH Bomb? [More punches, SDH drops backwards, McMaster lands with his knees on the shoulders of SDH.] Marty The Cabbie: And a cover… ONE TWO … KICK OUT [SDH pushes Tommy McMaster off.] Dougie Wright: That was even closer. [Both wrestlers are on opposite sides of the ring with their backs to each other, they turn and SDH throws a kick but McMaster catches it.] Marty The Cabbie: McMaster blocked another SDH Bomb attempt. [McMaster spins SDH around, as he comes all the way around he lifts SDH up onto his shoulders into a fireman's carry position. McMaster throws him out and drops down for a codebreaker.] Dougie Wright: WING AND A PRAYER! ONE TWO … … THREE! Marty The Cabbie: He got it! Zack Cobb: The winner of this match at a time of 16 minutes and 25 seconds… 'Wildfire' Tommy McMaster! Dougie Wright: McMaster will meet Tsuyoki in the final for the National Championship! --------------------------------------------- 6 - Paramedics --------------------------------------------- [Outside of the arena an Ambulance is is situated, Negro Tapia is on the stretcher with two Paramedics working away on him.] Paramedic 1: We need to get him straight to hospital, if we wait any longer he'll need a blood transfusion. [The other paramedic slams the door so we can't see the inside of the van. The engine starts up and it drives away.] --------------------------------------------- 7 - Shi Tsuyoki v Tommy McMaster for the National Championship --------------------------------------------- Zack Cobb: This is your main event and is scheduled for a time limit of TV time remaining…This is the final of the Prizefighter Tournament and is for the National Championship! Zack Cobb: His opponent... [Tsuyoki stands at ringside, he bows to Mr Yama who returns the favour before climbing onto the apron and stepping into the ring.] Dougie Wright: In year's from now we will look back on this match, at who became the first ever National Champion and how. Marty The Cabbie: Both these athletes have a chance to stake a claim on their piece of SWL history. [They lock up] Dougie Wright: It's going to be interesting to see how the previous matches effected these guys. Marty The Cabbie: Especially Tsuyoki who really did get pushed to the limits by Larry Mulligan early on. Dougie Wright: The only advantage to Tsuyoki is that his semi-final was first so he's had a bit more rest time, really McMasters has had no more than 10 minutes rest time. [Tsuyoki stands in the middle of the ring with McMaster locked in a side headlock. McMaster wraps is arms around the waist of Tsuyoki as if he is going to send him to the ropes but Tsuyoki isn't going anywhere.] Marty The Cabbie: It looks like Mr Yama has given Tsuyoki a game plan, use your weight and size advantage and just put all your weight into everything you do. [McMaster tries to push Tsuyoki but he's going nowhere so he reaches out towards the ropes...but they are just to far away.] Dougie Wright: Tommy McMaster isn't a small man either. Marty The Cabbie: No not at all, I think he's around the 250 mark, a great specimen but Tsuyoki, well they don't call him The Buffalo for nothing. [Tsuyoki squats down and tightens his grip...again McMaster tries to escape but he just can't get loose. McMaster tries to tug on Tsuyoki's tights but again he tightens his grip.] Dougie Wright: Very different start to this match than the two semi-finals. Marty The Cabbie: Neither man wants to go off to quick here. [Tsuyoki glares at his manager Mr Yama who studies the action. He animates with his hands telling Tsuyoki that he's doing the right thing.] Dougie Wright: Mr Yama seems to have instilled some great discipline into Shi Tsuyoki. Marty The Cabbie: It's a shame that we can't say the same for Professor Shripati and his client Madhu Karna. [Again McMaster reaches out...he stretches...just one more inch...he manages to get to the ropes.] Dougie Wright: Polite applause from the fans here, such a simple thing to grab the ropes, but we can see just how hard it was for him to do that. Marty The Cabbie: Tsuyoki is deliberately wearing down the energy levels of McMaster. [McMaster moves his head from side to side, trying to get the circulation flowing again. Tsuyoki starts to circle around the ring...McMaster comes out of his corner and they lock up.] Dougie Wright: Another collar and elbow tie up. [McMaster manages to push Tsuyoki into the corner, the referee gets between them and they break the hold.] Marty The Cabbie: The referee trying to get a clean break here. SLAP Dougie Wright: Oh! Right across the face! [McMaster staggers back into the ring, Tsuyoki runs out and jumps into the air planting his knee into the face of McMaster who flies backwards and rolls out of the ring.] Marty The Cabbie: And that running knee could be the turning point here. [Tsuyoki slowly steps out onto the apron. McMaster is leaning against the guard railings holding his face when Tsuyoki smashed into the back of him with a kick. McMaster is out on face at ringside. Tsuyoki doesn't even bat an eye lid as pulls McMaster off the floor and leans him up against the apron.] Dougie Wright: Excellent start from Tsuyoki, we're seeing a real pro in action here tonight. CHOP [Tsuyoki hooks McMaster's head and grabs his arm before sending him crashing into the ringside floor with a snap suplex.] Marty The Cabbie: There wont be a part of McMaster's body that wont be hurting about now. [McMaster is rolled back into the ring, Mr Yama comes round and pats Tsuyoki on the back as he climbs onto the apron. As he steps through the ropes McMaster quickly gets to his feet and runs at Tsuyoki…] SPLAT Dougie Wright: Tsuyoki just pie faced McMaster there. Marty The Cabbie: I thought we were going to see him cut off Shi Tsuyoki as he entered the ring. Dougie Wright: McMaster just ate that martial arts palm strike to the face. [Tsuyoki sends McMaster to the ropes, scoops him up and slams him down to the canvas. He leans back into the ropes before snapping back and dropping an elbow across the chest of McMater.] Marty The Cabbie: Pinning chance here for Tsuyoki… ONE TWO Dougie Wright: He kicks out! [McMaster is on his hands and knees, Tsuyoki hits the ropes and drives another knee into McMaster's face.] Marty The Cabbie: ONE … TWO Dougie Wright: HE KICKS OUT! Marty The Cabbie: A devastating knee to the face there. [Tsuyoki grabs McMaster around the face and pushes him into the corner. Tsuyoki with a big kick to the body and then charges in with a back elbow to the face.] Dougie Wright: This is an all out assault. [McMaster fires back with an Uppercut that sends Tsuyoki backwards a step. McMaster with another and then a knife edge chop before sending him to the ropes.] Marty The Cabbie: Big hiptoss from McMaster, maybe he can get back into this match. [Tsuyoki gets to his feet and McMaster runs him down with a shoulder tackle.] Dougie Wright: Cover from Tommy Mcmaster… ONE … [Tsuyoki throws off McMaster and both men get to their feet quickly.] Dougie Wright: Tommy McMaster is going to need to try and stay on top here. [McMaster sends Tsuyoki into the corner and charges in after him…Tsuyoki gets an elbow up sending McMaster back spinning around into the centre of the ring, but he manages to stay on his feet.] Marty The Cabbie: That didn't last long… [Tsuyoki runs out but McMaster grabs him and throws him into the air .] Dougie Wright: Over head belly to belly suplex. Marty The Cabbie: How wrong was I? Look at the way Tommy McMaster popped those hips. [McMaster grabs the left leg of Tsuyoki and scissors it with his legs.] Dougie Wright: Leg bar, could this be it? [McMaster pulls back, yanking away at the ankle and calf.] Marty The Cabbie: Shi Tsuyoki is a big man, but he's not very big when he's flat on his back. […McMaster applies more pressure to the leg.] Dougie Wright: This is the first time tonight we've seen Tsuyoki in any real trouble. [Tsuyoki starts to kick McMaster with his free leg, driving his ankle into the body of McMater until he breaks the hold.] Dougie Wright: He's free but how much damage has that done to his leg. [Tsuyoki pulls himself up with the ropes, McMaster charges him but Tsuyoki bends down and sends McMaster over the ropes…but he lands on the apron.] Marty The Cabbie: Tommy McMaster did well there to hold onto the top rope and land on the apron. [Tsuyoki turns round and gets McMater's shoulder straight into the stomach. McMaster pulls back on the top rope and pulls himself into the ring executing a sunset flip.] Dougie Wright: ONE … TWO … Marty The Cabbie: He kicks out! Dougie Wright: Great athleticism there by Tommy McMaster. [McMaster pulls Tsuyoki straight up and bends him over between his own legs, he hooks one arm…and the other.] Marty The Cabbie: This isn't good. [McMater hoists Tsuyoki into the air and drops down into a seated position.] Dougie Wright: Tiger Driver! ONE …. TWO … [Tsuyoki kicks out] Dougie Wright: That was close. [McMaster signals to the crowd that it could be over] Marty The Cabbie: Are we about to see Tommy McMaster execute his Wing and a Prayer finishing move? [McMaster lifts up Tsuyoki onto his shoulders.] Dougie Wright: This is it. [McMater goes to throw Tsuyoki round but is elbowed in the face and has to drop Tsuyoki to his feet.] Marty The Cabbie: If he had hit that we would have seen the first ever National Champion being crowned. [Tsuyoki hits the ropes as McMaster holds his face] BANG Dougie Wright: LLLLLLLAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAATTTTTTT!!!! Marty The Cabbie: It's over, it's over! ONE TWO …. … Dougie Wright: He kicked out? Marty The Cabbie: How did he kick out of that. Dougie Wright: Larry Mulligan hit Shi Tsuyoki with an almost identical Lariat to that earlier in the night for a near fall. [Tsuyoki grabs Tommy McMater and tries to hook him for an Exploder Suplex but McMaster then smashes him with an elbow.] Marty The Cabbie: He can't follow it up with an exploder, McMaster has escaped. [McMaster sends Tsuyoki to the ropes…he reverses…McMaster comes off the ropes and Tsuyoki kicks him in the stomach an again goes for the Exploder but…] Dougie Wright: McMaster with the small package…. ONE TWO … … … THREE! Marty The Cabbie: He did it… out of nowhere! [Tsuyoki is up and straight to his feet, neither he nor Mr Yama can believe it.] Dougie Wright: What a victory for Tommy McMaster! Zack Cobb: The winner of this match at a time of 15 minutes and 14 seconds…he is the first ever National Champion… 'Wildfire' Tommy McMaster! ['To Burn It Up' starts to play again and the referee passes McMaster the new Championship belt.] Dougie Wright: What a great show we've had today folks… Marty The Cabbie: What a great show McMaster has had. [Tsuyoki still can't believe it, Mr Yama is protesting to the referee.] Dougie Wright: Tommy McMaster is our first National Champion, we'll be back in two weeks so stay tuned. Marty The Cabbie: And if you need a taxi before then please call… [Cut to black, SWL logo and copyright information] |
