Part 1 is up! The two tryout matches, plus the three-way dance! At the below link! http://oswcards.wordpress.com/2013/01/18/o...-1-part-1-of-2/ Part 2, all 3 matches of it (3? Yes, 3... read Part 1!), I'm going to schedule for Tuesday to give that time, but may have it out sooner. Tuesday for certain though. ![]() Enjoy! |
| Working on new characters you didn't see a decade ago. Honest. | |

Cristopher Black is here! WOOHOO! The man so evil he makes Atilla the Hun look like the good samaritan! I suggest all OSW employees immediately learn how to treat shank-wounds. It may save lives.

Definitely some fun surprises to start things out. I liked the twist of Black being in the tryout match against Rawlins. Looking forward to part 2! |

I still really like Bang Bang Mangum, and I'm intrigued to find out what the Boo Box is. I can't decide if Mangum gives off more of an early Catcus Jack vibe or a Stan Hansen mean cowboy vibe. The triple threat was... chaotic. In a good way. I'm a bit worried that if this turns into a long term story between the three (which I don't think is happening, my guess is that this sets up a Finnegan/Andrus storyline) there's a little too much happening with each character in terms of lack of control/supporting characters and it'll be too busy to read. But for one night, this match really stands out. The Black/Rawlins match worked on a lot of levels, and for a young babyface to look that strong against Black does a lot for his credibility. Plus, I see you're firing some pretty big "surprise appearance" bullets back after the whole Randall Osbourne and Gamma Ray thing in Fighting Spirit... looks like there's going to be some friendly competition within the Alliance. Bring it on, Old School. Bring it on.

Really liked the snarkiness of the commentary thus far and the match writing was very good. I haven't read PVW, so I appreciate what back story I could get to give me a chance to get up to speed on the characters involved. Enjoyed Black/Rawlins; though again, without a PVW background, I'm wondering what a 203 lbs guy did to put the fear of God into Robinson and Simmons. Interested to learn more. Three-way dance was a little busy with all the secondary characters involved, but not much you could do about it. Very much looking forward to part two! |

Christopher Black will find you for not knowing who he is. He'll find you. Then he'll shank your pets. He'll shank your pets' friends. He'll shank any distant acquaintances of your pets. And _then_ he'll start getting _evil_! Christopher Black's picture is not next to the word "Evil" in the dictionary. That's because evil isn't evil enough to be Christopher Black. Uncle Frank thinks Christopher Black may not be an entirely well-balanced individual, psychologically speaking.

Black is malicious. Gibson was institutionalized evil. Craven was chaos (then Major Poo). Marley had to prove himself. Cole was chaotic as well. Spectre was lawful evil. Overall, PVW's roster had lots of flavors of psychotics and one bitch/rule abusing heel (until Freeman showed up). |

Reading Insession now. I don't quite understand why Frank Wilkes is getting a standing ovation, or why people are screaming to go to the prom with him. Is this a fucking acid trip? I'm not in on the joke, and I'm okay with that, but first shows are about getting people in on the joke. In my mind, unless you were an OSW vet or former AWA/PVW/UWF champion of the world, most reactions should have been muted. That's just me. |

Wilkes has always been a face (usually by virtue of me running him against Duff). Dropping the RSO gimmick is essentially a heel turn for him; the intro was supposed to show that while there is a bizzare/questionable fanbase for his character, he's starting to lose it by acting like a jerk (at least that was what I was trying to convey). From what I've been reading in the reactions, it seemed preferable to do a quick awkward transition to the new gimmick then spend the next few shows reestablishing the sex offending. Points taken though, hopefully it gets smoother. :/Will hold back on comments till the second part comes out - but stoked to see Black here; and the three way was everything I hoped it would be (wonderful stuff Rich & Jason). Keep up the awesomosity, Jerod! |

See, I had no context. I initially thought, who the hell would ever cheer this guy? And then the corsage and the Pedo Crowd, I was like, what the hell is the gag here, I'm missing something. Although I strangely caught on that the RSO gimmick made him a face... Goddamnit, being in the suburbs has fucked up my perspective on everything. |

I agree with Doran on the reactions. Most of the character should just be getting an empty arena response and have to "earn" the hate/love that comes their way. Naturally for a first event for OSW, most of the fans there will be old OSW fans (how many brand new fans would show up to a first event for wrestlers they never heard of or know nothing about? The exception is if they were SEEKING out a certain wrestler) so it makes sense that certain guys will get a pop or a reaction from the old fan base. For me, when I think of the event, I think it would be full of mostly Epitome of Cool fan boys (since that's what was hyped leading up to the event) so if the team that comes out is anyone BUT them...they're going to get bottles tossed out at them by the fans and boo'ed right out of the arena. |
