THIS IS AN EDITORIAL BY THE INTERNET'S MOST HARD HITTING AND HONEST AEWF CRITIC "HUNCHBACK" BOB. BOB CALLS IT AS HE SEES IT AND IS NOT AFRAID TO SPEAK OUT HIS MIND, EVEN FROM HIS MOTHER'S BASEMENT. Check out "The Hunch" at http://z13.invisionfree.com/AEWF_Media_Cen...dex.php?act=idx

“The Hunch”

By Hunchback Bob

Well, let me just firstly say that I am glad the AEWF is back on our TV screens. I have been out of the wrestling writing game for a long time because nothing had caught my imagination since the old AEWF folded, but with its rebirth last Sunday night I was intrigued. Intrigued enough to also revive my old column from the old AEWF days, “The Hunch”.

So imagine my surprise when I switched on my TV on Sunday night to watch The European Warriors and all I saw was crap...the whole show was a steaming pile of turd.

Third rate wrestling from third rate wrestlers, which shouldn’t have been a surprise, really, but why hype the AEWF’s comeback when all you have is dross to fill in 2 hours of TV time?

What the new owners of the AEWF should have done is wait until they had some decent talent signed up and locked up and then put on televised show. These title tournaments does the AEWF a disservice when you know the winners are gonna be nothing but glorified prelim bums.

And don’t get me started on who these new owners are. The Abu Dhabi Sports Investment Group? What the hell is that? Who are these guys? Has anyone checked them out? Sure, they seem to have a lot of money, but will they invest any significant amount into the AEWF? If so, why haven’t they already done so and signed up some of the great talent out there? How long will these people stick around for? What will happen when they get bored of their new toy? Will they just discard the AEWF like some cheap $20 hooker? These are all questions I want answered. And I will not hide the fact that if the AEWF was to be reborn I wish it would have been with a British owner. Too many companies that originated from the UK are now foreign owned and it would have been nice if we still had something that was owned by this fair land, but no, it wasn’t to be.

I’m exhausted and AEWF I am disappoint.

Until next time,

“Hunchback” Bob
