Could the NWPW be set on Earth 2?
Have I told you how much I loathe your continued existence today?

It was a fun read. Dro's enthusiasm makes everything sparkle.

Poor Julie will be filing three or four harassment suits per show.

I volunteer Allison Ivey. She didn't take crap from anyone, even Michael [BLEEP]in' Augustine.

I like the cast of characters we have so far. The "Perfect Gentleman" thing was a hoot and slightly uncomfortable in a Macho Man/Elizabeth way.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Now for some thoughts from my side of things!

-Next time I will send the show to our invaluable proofreader before putting it out. Yes, we have one. He proofread the FAQ before I put it out publicall on JTF.

-I need to work on the summary match writing, the show came out way bigger than I was aiming for. That being said I enjoyed working on this quite a bit and it never felt like too much work. I had fun with it.

-It's too close in amount of time for me to fairly say but I do think the two tag matches did not come out as well as I had hoped for. I think because I lost sight of the stories of the matches and was more focused on fitting in the angles and spots from strats. I humbly apologize to all fedheads and matchwriters who's matches I may have criticized for being scatterbrained or jumping to this or that too early. I understand even better now how these things can happen, especially for TV matches.

-In between matches commentator banter is hard. I tried to keep it as short as I could but I do need to work on segues.

-On a positive note, I was really pleased with the promos and the strats people did helped out a lot in the match writing. I think some of the feuds kicked off were kicked off really well here.

That's off the top of my head. Please give more feedback and don't be afraid to critique stuff, I am totally fine with criticism and readily admit that I have stuff to improve on. Help me to make those improvements with your feedback! Thanks!

Thoughts reading down the card:

- I like the idea of waiting 6 months before the title match. It gives everyone a chance to see who's who in NWPW.

- We start with "Rowdy" John Rawlins, who is so whitebread I feel like I need an insulin shock.

- The matches are short, but most of them are introductions of the characters, and they work. Rawlins wins, and I'm having 'Dynamic Dude' flashbacks

- A brilliantly heelish promo by "Perfect Gentlemen" Edgar Caspian, complete with a verbal beatdown of his valet.

- The in-ring doesn't work as well, just because no show is going to give ten minutes to try and explain how to eat a lobster. It's a good idea, but having the in-ring right after the backstage promo made it go on a little long.

- Next up is the Bling King. It's a good arrogant jock heel promo, with enough bedazzling elements to make it sparkle. :)

- One request for the matches: We don't need ring announcers doing the standard introduction, but one advantage of those promos was that you could hear the weight, and get a good comparison of wrestlers in terms of size. I can't figure out if Bling King is average sized with a powerhouse offense or is a behemoth (which might be important if he feuds with another power guy)

- Darkness Promo. I don't comment on my own stuff. (But you have to admit, it was awesome)

- Tiger Soul Promo. Seems to be playing more of a tweener than a heel. Considering the number of heels in the fed, he may become a face by default

- Tunney with an in-ring. Looks like Tunney's going to be the big bad of the fed, with his stable.

- Tag match turned out well, IMHO. Set up Darkness-Chono and Tiger Soul-Rawlins down the road. Don't know if Dan Flores was a one-time thing or if he's staying in the fed. We could use a few more faces.

- Promo with Jerry Calhoun, who I guess counts as a few more faces by himself :).

- Short squash by Calhoun. I'm already thinking that he and the Bling King will make great dance partners.

- Another promo by Rawlins.... Zzzz....

- Promo by "Pacific Perfection" Kenoi Tanaka.

- Tanaka kills the Masked Maniac in a squash

- Promos by all four of competitors in the main event. Marley's a snake, Audiet is the arrogant technical wrestler, and they do a good job showing the Tunney family as an old-school manager with a lot of different charges. Santos' promo was vanilla- not bad, but I would have liked to see a little more energy. Sinister's the most established face in the face... which makes him the primary target of the heels.

- Meanwhile, just about everyone is interacting with Julie. Shall we start the betting pool on (a) which heel crosses the line from antagonizing/flirting to stalking and (b) which face comes to defend her?

- Main Event! The faces win the battle (and the match by DQ), the Tunney family wins the war (by being the ones who walk out on their own power.

- Good card. Nothing fancy, but this wasn't the time for fancy. We've got the main characters, and the main arc (The Tunney Family) leading up to the Title match in June.

I watched WM28 this week on In Demand, and they gave three minutes to crab legs. It felt like fifteen. When Mick Foley can't save a segment, you're in trouble.

One thing I have noticed is that we've got a few real-wrestler expies. I think AWA has had an influence.

The thing about the ring announcer announcing the height and weight information makes a lot of sense to me, and on top of that I also should've done some kind of descriptive stuff about the physical appearances of the wrestlers on this show (since it's the 1st and I would have to do less of it going forward) to establish them more in people's minds. This is the kind of stuff I need to hear! Many thanks! I will be making notes on all of this for the 2nd show!

Hrm ... need to send in an app. Or did I already? Now I can't remember. Too much going on.

A "tale of the tape" style side-by-side comparison of competitors in each match would be ideal for a summary fed and, if it's plain text, could be laid out neatly ASCII-style.
And it was at this moment that the entire world realized, in unison, that tandem bicycles were AWESOME~!

That's something DeWolfe does for Fighting Spirit and it's pretty effective there.

Moze, you did not apply. You got an invitation in the week before going public with the fed but no, you did not apply.

And tale of the tape could definitely work. I meant to get the update out today but it might be out tomorrow, have had some stuff to take care of. Thanks for all the feedback!

Fun inagurual show. This is the first bit of e-w I have written or read in awhile. Thanks for putting the show together Dro.

Lots of fun new characters to pay attention to. I liked the flow of the show and there were some good angles already set in motion.
