Jeet Kune Do!

BTW, I do make a habit of using Commonwealth spellings for my Canadian and British characters. So far, I've yet to have dueling spellings in a flash though between characters of different heritages.

I will try to remember to use such Commonwealth spelling in the future.

Audiet is a Ric Flair expy, so if there's crossover with Fontana, it's unintentional. There were a lot of arrogant technicians before us, and there'll be a lot afterwards.

We definitely would have wanted to do a team promo, but I got way behind at work and was late (such a rush likely contributed to the typos). Maybe this week would be good for that.

Aaah, so it's Bruce Lee's gig. Well... it's still all Kung Fu to me! ;)

The Ric Flair expy did not jump at me at all, but in hindsight, with the limousine ridin' line, I should have seen it. Audiet was just missing a couple WOOOOs and an elbow drop on his jacket to make someone like me get it the first time.

Ironically, Flair was one of the original drawing points for Fontana, as were Piper, Savage and Anderson, at least until the character could stand on his own. I still see lots of similarities between Audiet & Fontana due to the somewhat similar wrestling styles, 2nd generation wrestlers from the same hometown, both of them having little respect for their father's legacies (and since that IPW cameo, I still consider it canon that Felix Audiet is but one of a handful of wrestlers to graduate from Jack Fontana's Pit as opposed to quitting). That said, we could list the differences between the characters, and that would undoubtedly turn into a longer list for sure.

You don't have to adopt "Canadian English" for Audiet, though. Katie and I might do that sort of thing, but really, really doubt anyone else would notice that sort of detail. It's not worth getting a headache over, at least.
It's not something that made me dislike the promo, any way.

I don't think there's any promo on the show I full out disliked. You know, in case my anti-Dro tone of voice gave you a different impression. Some promos may have left me with a feeling of not learning enough about the characters for my taste, but you can't be fed everything on the first show. Some characters need a slow build over multiple shows, others speak more through their actions than their words, and so they reveal their nature through feuds and angles. Not every character is well suited to making a big impression on the very first show, which in no way means these characters are bad.

I fully admit it's a quirk of mine to use regional spellings/word choice if it fits the character. I can only imagine how much I'd screw things up between Continental Spanish versus what's used in Mexico or Argentina (or how nit-picky I'd get in trying to get it perfect) even if no one else would care or notice. :P

And Rawlins has yet to hold a studio audience hostage in cheering for him so there's hope for him...so far.

Coordinating anything with me that week was impossible anyway...I was running a scientific convention in Baltimore and working 13-14 hour days from Friday to Friday...

I had initially intended to do a joint RP with Jeremy, but...yeah.

Such is life.

Commonwealth spelling is inefficient - those extraneous u's take time to write.
Have I told you how much I loathe your continued existence today?

I procrastinate enough as it is. Extra "u"s are just a drop in the bucket when it comes to me putting off writing. (see also my 7th Sea story it's taken me too damn long to finish)

Oh, there certainly are a lot of similarities, yes. But I'm not copying your character, promise. :)

I like the podcast. Anyone that has the courage and time to do that, I salute you. Thank you for doing it and I hope to hear another one sometime!

BIG Thank You to Flouze for the podcast! He had a lot of good points about lots of things and made me realize even more that I need to have a 2nd pair of eyes look over stuff or bounce stuff off of because there are things you notice or pick up on while reading shows but lose when trying to get shows put together and done. I see even more now how easy it is for details and things to be lost in assembling stuff, more humble apologies to fedheads everywhere! And HUGE thanks to Flouze for the big shill of the Strat form. STRAT FORMS BE IMPORTANT TO ME! Thanks for all the feedback and hopefully, if everyone has patience with me, show by show, bit by bit, I will improve at this fedheading thing!

Fun inagurual show. This is the first bit of e-w I have written or read in awhile. Thanks for putting the show together Dro.

Lots of fun new characters to pay attention to. I liked the flow of the show and there were some good angles already set in motion.

Bell! You old so and so! Gimme a hug, big fella!
