I reiterate...

HARTT!

And me without my not-so trusty shanker... :P

Meanwhile, Darkness is YOUR masked Face in peril this week!

Jobber Fight!

Wondering now if King/Tolliver/Hartt is in the cards as a three way feud or if there's some trading out happening?

I feel for Crystal. Seems like she's stuck in the helpless valet role here. It's a one dimensional throwback I'm not comfortable with, but that's just me. I'm hoping she doesn't end up as just a prize to be won and lays claim to her own autonomy (either as a face or embracing the competent heel role full force) one way or the other instead.
And here's where I pretend to be a writer...

A few scattered thoughts:

* The overall theme seems to be faces stepping up to challenge the solo heels- Chris Hartt showing up to take the Bling King's Bling, Calhoun costing Caspian the match. But at the same time, the Tunney family is being more dominant, laying out the faces three times. It's now up to the faces to bind together to become a real threat to challenge the Tunney family and not just play the part of 'Victim'.

* I loved the fine bit- not only accepting that the attacks cost money, but throwing it back in the fed's face. The bad part is that it ruins the threat of a fine as a way to stop the Tunney family in the future- but NWPW can come up with other threats that are viable. (Sorry about taking that spot first, Flouze)

* Welcome to NWPW, Mr. Hartt! Now I want to team up just to hear the 'Dark Paladin' jokes :)

* Answering Flouze's questions about DJ Bobble Bottz: I like having a second character to bounce off of for flashes. It lets someone react to the Bling King. And the right music will be annoying enough to keep the Bling King getting heel heat.

* I almost would have preferred Caspian to go beserk on the next card. Give Caspian a week to stew, a flash showing him furious about Calhoun getting up on him- then have him attack the locker room jobbers.

* USA! USA! USA! USA!

* and yeah- the past weeks have been bad for me at work, and since I knew Darkness was getting abused, I held off a flash. Will make it up for the next show.

And, let's be honest, there's nothing more American than a kick to the balls! USA! USA!

(Admittedly, I did not strat specifically for low blows, but I can work with this... ) ^_^

As for Bling King's sidekick for annoying music, I suggest Skrillex.

I did forget to mention that BKBK would have been doling out singles, as if they'd be enough to make up for anything, haha

YOWZA! Listened to the podcast, thanks so much for the podcasting Flouze! Very good stuff! Some stuff that came to me while listening to it:

1-I am not doing the best job with the commentators, namely they could be rehashing and summarizing events that have happened up to x point so much better than they have been and then the reader wouldn't have to tax their brain so much to remember what events happened the last two shows to lead to y & etc.

2-All shows must be proofread. The process ends up in a better product so definitely no matter what, all shows must be sent for proofreading.

3-The mistake in the main event, THE one Flouze mentions, I wish I had picked up on it. It can not be un-noticed now. I am very sad.

Anyways, everyone's doing a great job. I need to work on the update, but a tad busy. Share more thoughts, por favor! Definitely would like to see more discussion!

A few scattered thoughts:

I think I agree on all points, though on DJ Bobble Botz situation... since the interviews are almost invariably with a designed interviewer to bounce off and react for flashes, a mute DJ in a creepy Zentai suit is optional, is all.

My first instinct was that I also would have preferred Caspian to not attack the jobbers on this show to savour Calhoun's moral victory a bit longer. But it may be that they were already planning something else on the next show.
The Caspian/Calhoun feud is one that feels like it's a 8 show feud condensed to fit into 4, with double the high points per show.

I do not agree with that. In this case, Caspian was the only one who I thought I might have suspected of forgetting some of his antics, and mostly because of the sheer quantity of them.
Otherwise, the promos almost always do the job of jostling my memory.

The current amount of announcer banter should not be increased, not because it's bad, but because they're not the product. Obviously, they should remain entertaining, but their main job is to unify the show, get the ball rolling, get some exposition across for angle development, that kind of thing. But if they ended up talking too much, they'd end up inadvertently stealing the spotlight away from the wrestler characters, imo.
You need to add reminders for me, Dro. You don't always need to cater to the lowest common denominator!

Well, proofreading does add about a day's worth of delay. Sometimes, a day's delay is more painful that the horrible, ego-murdering humiliation of having misspelled Gob for all to see.

3-The mistake in the main event

I'm a bad person, I know. It kills me that hard work (99% of a match) can so easily go unnoticed just because I stick at the 1% that looks funny.
One I didn't mention is that I can't imagine what a Wheelbarrow Lunglower looks like, and so I got stuck there too for a while. I should have googled it for a youtube clip, but I got lazy.

The rest of the match seemed quite fine to me. Although Rawlins picking up a win via accidental screwjob is admittedly anti-climactic. It was also important to have a show end with the faces on top after Tunney Family dominance in show 1, and Caspian defacing Calhoun on ep 2. The balance in the force needed to be somewhat restored.
