Blame Random.org!

Well, probably... at least.  The drawings are usually randomized with a handful of times during the match where I'll say, "Well, that doesn't make sense here.  Let's run it again."  Or a time where I say, "So and so HAS to enter here to make this spot work."

Or in other words...

"Ricky Marley... sorry 'bout your damn luck."

I knew it! Chris Blue is really a member of Beer Money!

But his mama is scheming to take things over, so that makes Blue more like Jim Cornette.

Plowing through the Rumble a bit. Gotta commend you, Blue. You somehow fill the ring, do a few angles and actually keep track of everyone without just having guys sitting in a corner doing nothing. I've written my fair share of rumbles, they're always a huge pain.

Rumbles are oddly one of the things I love to write. I just don't love how long it takes. :-)

Agreed. Rumbles and tag matches were always my favorites to write.

I don't ever remember a rumble stoppage before either, maybe because I've never seen it cut away to a commercial (last year the rumble was on a PPV). I dug the runs in and the craziness of it all and somehow Blue managed to keep the sanity amidst all of it. There were a lot of really cool moments and battles, I always dig the behemoths trying to get thrown out and I thought they were handled really well. The Hammonds/Brody stuff was really cool, I like the dynamic of it. Stevie Scott coming out mid entry and then again at the end was a fun twist since and for their really being no big surprise entries it still had a great mystique too it all.

The entry pool was so stacked too, there weren't really any guys there just to fill spots and be eliminated which is what you usually get.

A shame we don't get the Blue's Reviews anymore. I'd like to hear the thought process of having the heels dominate a Memorial Day show on a Naval Aircraft Carrier.

That actually was one of the more challenging parts of this Rumble. For instance, the original thought was to have Terry Shane enter at #1. The Carver craziness would basically kick off the match. The first time Carver got sent back, #2 would enter, Shane would toss him almost immediately, and Carver would charge back out.

But when it came time to do it, I had a hard time finding a #2 that I was willing to sacrifice that quickly. In previous Rumbles, it would've been easy to find such cannon fodder but this time, almost everyone had "a spot" that I wanted to work in for them.

Oh, and you guys MIGHT get a Blue's Review of this one. Just depends on how the rest of my week sorts out.

Cooper, Shane, Dufresne, Jones, and the Bombers are all ex-military!

I second the reviews, I love them, but I realize they are a lot of work. Maybe if we all give better feedback Blue would be more enticed to reciprocate!

Something else that should go into the e-w lessons learned thread...When Terry Jue gives you feedback about a card, you know there's something about the direction of your fed that concerns him!

We've gotten over 40 posts into this reaction thread, and nobody has seen fit to comment on Stone Cold's KotR moment??

Dave Cooper's been killing it forever, and it would be a damned shame if he's not main eventing SuperClash V.

No kidding, Joe.

I've been on the Dave Cooper Caravan for a good year now. The evolution of that character is something we can't just let go by the wayside. Think how far he's come, from a goodie goodie tag team wrestler to an Arn Anderson single, aided somewhat by this board marking out like nuts for him and Blue admitting how awesome the moveset is. It's the kind of character development, and patience, that e-w does not often see.
