Blue: 2 things. 1: Caught the Zeke reference. I've been mining that for like 10 years worth of jokes. Say "Lightning Robes" in the right circles and you'll get a laugh every time. 2: I can still finish the music video for the feud, y'know. Now would it then go into the card? Eh, that's up to you... |
| And it was at this moment that the entire world realized, in unison, that tandem bicycles were AWESOME~! | |

It could go on SNS.... if one of them were to have died between SuperClash and SNS as a Memorial Tribute. Just saying! |

Might as well just start from scratch and create a "Leave The Memories Alone" tribute for the man, the myth, the legend, Joe Petrow. Or you could write the new entrance music for Giant Asshole and The American Asstodon: The New Age MAMMOTHS! |

When Terry wins this contest, I hope he books Violence Unlimited vs The Rave in a "One Of These Teams Must Win No Really I'm Serious" match. |

TRIVIA QUESTION #1: Who can tell me the story behind "Big Poppa Buyrate"? Who coined the phrase and what was the situation around it? You gotta go waaaay back in your time machines for this one. ---> Daniel Spreadbury, after the Kowalski vs. Hansen IIWF vs. EMWC champion match on "Free TV." Seemed like something one would do to "pop a buyrate" and what with Scott Steiner unveiling his Big Poppa Pump routine... TRIVIA QUESTION #2 - Rick Marley was a participant in the first AWA WarGames. Name his teammates and his opponents. --->Teammates: Despair, Werewolf Gregorson, Tin Can Rust, and City Jack Opponents: Adrian Freeman, Calisto Dufresne, The Russians, and Stevie Scott TRIVIA QUESTION #3 - Name ALL the past winners of Steal The Spotlight. ---> MAMMOTH x 2, Sultan TRIVIA QUESTION #4 - Who was Jim Watkins' predecessor as the Chairman of The Championship Committee when he originally got the job? ---> Stephen Ross TRIVIA QUESTION #5 - Who did Juan Vasquez face in his AWA debut? ---> Ron Houston TRIVIA QUESTION #6 - At what Pro Wrestling Revolution event did Calisto Dufresne win the PWR Pacific Championship and how did he win it? ---> Who's The King?, pinned Juvenil Infierno TRIVIA QUESTION #7 - How did Calisto Dufresne earn the "anywhere, anytime" title shot he used to win the National Title from Vasquez at WrestleRock? ---> Did a favor for Bobby Taylor TRIVIA QUESTION #8 - Bobby Taylor's "beatdown" took place in what legendary wrestling city? ---> Toronto TRIVIA QUESTION #9 - Who participated in that beating? ---> Claw, Casey, Subway Psycho, Otto Verhoeven, Hardin, Thunder, Dan Kauffman (HOF 2013!) TRIVIA QUESTION #10 - OOC, which of the legendary handlers involved in that incident was responsible for putting it together? ---> Owens TRIVIA QUESTION #11 - Blue mentions Michaelson's "bum back" in this promo. Who gave Michaelson that "bum back?" ---> Former Jesse the Body homage Narcissus Colt Patterson TRIVIA QUESTION #12 - This is a freebie. Pick your favorite match in Stampede Cup history and explain why. ---> Bishop Boys vs. Dufresne/Freeman. Cemented the Southern Syndicate, as the Bishops just didn't quite fit the way Dufresne and Freeman would/did, TRIVIA QUESTION #13 - Joe Petrow wore a mask during his AWA debut. What was the name of that character? ---> El Super Gecko TRIVIA QUESTION #14 - Another freebie. If you were booking, where would Jim Watkins go from here? ---> Doing commentary with Gordon Myers after Bucky Wilde becomes a manager again. TRIVIA QUESTION #15 - Who did Marcus Broussard defeat to become the first AWA National Champion? ---> Mark Shaw TRIVIA QUESTION #16 - Robert Donovan held the LWC Twin Pistols Tag Titles with what member of the AWA? ---> Bobby Taylor TRIVIA QUESTION #17 - Alex Martinez paid tribute to The Gremlin in a spot in this match. In EMWC 2.0, they were teammates. What was the name of their team and who was the third member? ---> Kings of Wrestling, Chris Courtade, and goddamn you for bringing up bad memories TRIVIA QUESTION #18 - What band's t-shirt was Alex Martinez wearing in this match? ---> Judas Priest TRIVIA QUESTION #19 - Bucky tells Blue that he and Gordon were "working in Atlanta" during the E's heyday. What company were they working for? ---> Southern Championship Wrestling TRIVIA QUESTION #20 - Freebie. Was the first ever AWA barbed wire match in alignment with the AWA's "feel"? Did it go too far? ---> It generally worked in the context of the AWA, as long as it's not brought out again for a long, long time. Did not go too far. TRIVIA QUESTION #21 - If Supernova is the AWA equivalent of beach bum Sting, who was the AWA equivalent of Dark Crow Sting? ---> Corax was Crow Sting, Supernova was Beach Bum Sting and Eric Preston was originally hot off of UWF, blue chip Sting! TRIVIA QUESTION #22 - Honesty time (and a freebie)... who did YOU think was the third member of each team? ---> Rick Marley for the Sultan, and I was holding out for someone from Langseth's past, in the vein of Whitecross or Tommy Stephens. Then I opened my email and found the whole thing out. TRIVIA QUESTION #23 - Between the EMWC and the AWA, name all of the stables that Mark Langseth has been a part of. ---> Team Blue/Langseth. The Foundation. Redemption. Royalty. TRIVIA QUESTION #24 - What 80s rock anthem is quasi-quoted in this match? ---> "Livin' On A Prayer" by Bon jovi TRIVIA QUESTION #25 - What titles did Dave Bryant hold in the EMWC? ---> Tag title, TV title TRIVIA QUESTION #26 - Who was Glenn Hudson's partner in the legendary Nine Inch Males? ---> Rob James. Extra credit goes to anyone who can name some Showtime Main Events as well. Stevie vs. Juan for Clashes 1 and 2. Dufresne vs. Supernova for Clash 3. Showtime IV: Todd vs. Narcissus? Showtime V: Slater vs. Hansen Showtime VI: EVG vs. Langseth Showtime VII: Martinez vs. Langseth Showtime VIII: Temple vs. Casey in Killing Box and/or Gremlin vs. Spector vs. Claw vs. Jeff Matthews Showtime IX: Temple vs. Courtade vs. Case vs. Adam Rogers Triple bonus points if you can name one of the bandied about main events for Showtime X, that was brought up right after the unification match for the TV, NA and Junior titles: Case vs. Courtade, Killing Box retirement match with a side of Kinsey vs. Vasquez for the World title TRIVIA QUESTION #29 - What were the names of the ORIGINAL Blonde Bombers? ---> Beautiful Bobby Baldwin, Love Machine Johnny Nova TRIVIA QUESTION #30 - A freebie. Who is the voice in question that ended the show? ---> Brian Lau, although I don't think Blue would be able to not spill that to SOMEONE were that actually the case. 31. I watched several matches over the past month for inspiration while writing. Name a participant in one of those matches. NOTE: You may NOT name anyone that I have listed on JTF. NOTE 2: Extra credit for those who can name an actual match I watched. ---> I'm gonna go with Cactus/Vader. 32. Name your favorite match from SuperClash IV and explain why. ---> A tie between Dufresne/Vasquez, because I thought it came across as real and personal, and you could see where it was going (which is sometimes the best thing), and Watkins/Petrow. I love Jim Watkins, I like the presence he brings and I thought the small details from Joe were brilliant. 33. What character are you most looking forward to in 2013? Why? ---> I'm intrigued to see how far Hannibal Carver can go. I really think the AWA is the right forum for Carver, who is an old school character at heart. Yeah, shit was crazy in the 2000s, what with the molesting of Iris Galiver and all, but Carver is a brawler from the old school at the end of the day. 34. Where would you like to see SuperClash V occur? ---> Greensboro Coliseum 35. From the current roster, who do you believe WILL be the next World Champion? Who do you believe SHOULD be the next World Champion? ---> This is a long shot, but I'm gonna go with Dave Cooper for both. Cooper is a guy who has AWA pedigree and background out the ass, who grew due to support on these boards from part of a tag team, to a single, to a Petrow client and so forth. I think he's carried stuff on his end about as well as you could, he's got the persona and he's got the heel stable behind him to run the dog and pony show. Plus, Cooper winning the title would piss off Langseth, Mr. Hall of Famer, to no end. And that would be fascinating. I do believe there's a face vacuum right now, so while there's some retooling on the babyface part of the roster, Cooper would be a good guy to get that title off of Monosso. |

We did...but I couldn't find a way to make him work...either he talked too much, or not enough. Really tough challenge in this setting to run a character like that, and it proved beyond me. Jer could have done it though...the jerk.

Yep, Supernova and Corax were seen together several times... in fact, I believe Corax was in the War Games match in which Nova and Sultan captained opposing teams. |

I think I'd have avoided Crow Sting like the plague. I already have a silent character! And it's hard enough even when he has a mouthpiece. |

Much like you can't apply a figure four reversal without first being put in the figure four, you can't be a believable Crow Sting without first being a Sting that was gravely wronged. Juan Vasquez could have been a great Crow Sting if he wanted to. On another note...I am quite jealous of Paul Heyman, as he's getting to live out everything I wanted to do with the Petrow/Langseth dynamic. That combo never gets old with me! |
