Next five... CAPTAIN JOE FLINT This American Hero has attempted to find his way to the AWA on several occasions but has always come up short whether its due to budget constraints, hiring freezes, or even injuries. The flag-waving patriot looks to make an entrance at a time when the AWA has few foreign enemies of which to speak but this All American American will fight for freedom wherever there’s trouble! THE LOST BOY One of the most bizarre individuals in the sport, this face-painted, green-tongued, topknot-wearing brawler has both terrorized and thrilled fans alike over his lengthy career. A former PCW star, The Lost Boy has made a few AWA appearances in the past but has yet to stick on the roster. With his new valet by his side, they truly are Beauty And The Beast. WILLIE HAMMER Sweet Daddy Williams discovered Willie Hammer on a scouting trip to Southern California. Hammer has been working the majority of the SoCal indies for the past few years and has developed quite the cult following. A big kid, Hammer’s surprising agility and aerial skills have thrilled the fans as well as the AWA front office who see big things for this young man. “FIRST STRING” FRANKIE FLASH The irritating jock/frat boy come to the world of wrestling, Frankie Flash is everything you hated about the “cool kids” in high school and college. He’s rich, he’s successful, he’s good looking... oh, and he’s got a former beauty queen and head cheerleader on his arm cheering him on every step of the way. BARRY DOUGLAS A 20-year old kid, Douglas was on the fast track to a career in the National Football League when a draft day concern about a test score dropped him drastically. Although the allegation was later proved false, the damage to his reputation was done. Never one to hang his head, Douglas has shifted gears, entering the Combat Corner where his raw athleticism and big heart has earned high praise from instructors. Douglas has earned big points with the front office by saying he hopes to be a hero to the kids who follow the AWA and a role model that they can look up to. |

One more batch before I get ready for work... MISTER OLIVER STRICKLAND This aging veteran’s best days are long behind him but he feels like he still has another good run in him and refuses to hang up the boots until he’s had that run. One of the finest mat technicians the sport has ever known, Strickland’s crossface chickenwing will have even the toughest men screaming “I QUIT!” KADEN OATS Formerly one-half of a lower card tag team with his brother, Cooper, Kaden has decided to give it a try on his own. A clean-cut, good kid with his head on straight, Kaden hopes to make his home state of Oklahoma proud by breaking into the AWA upper echelon in 2013. HILLBILLY JEB This overall wearin’ country boy was discovered by AWA officials while sitting in the crowd during a show. His size and natural enthusiasm for the sport made him a perfect fit for the AWA Combat Corner where he’s proven to be a slow learner at the ring techniques but as tough of a brawler as you’ll ever see. His good-natured personality makes him a huge favorite with the fans as he works his way towards becoming an official AWA superstar. “THE KRUSHER” KEVIN WARNER and STONE “THE BREAKER” BATES Accompanied by their flashy manager, Jackie Tolland, Warner and Bates are two former midcard singles wrestlers who seemed to be going nowhere fast when Tolland got the idea of put them together. Warner’s good looks and well-toned physique is overwhelmed by his nastiness inside the ring while Bates’ nickname comes from a run in Portland where his Flying Hammerlock broke the arms of several fan favorites. “FLAWLESS” LARRY WALLACE This second generation competitor is the son of “Battlin’” Burt Wallace who terrorized the Great Lakes scene for decades and was once called “one of the toughest men I’ve ever met” by Hamilton Graham. His son has that brawling skill in his back pocket but prefers to show off what he calls the “Essence Of Perfection” in his technical skills. |

I was trying to convince Dan to run an angle where the Bishops' really good-natured hillbilly cousin came in after listening to Hillbilly Jim on Colt's podcast. He wasn't up for it but I still think it would have been a lot of fun with them picking on their "slow" cousin. |

Fun fact. Before the Shane Gang debuted I had sent Blue an app with Aaron Anderson as "Adonis" Anderson along with a Ventura homage, "Immaculate" Matthew Samson for a modern day East-West Connection. |
