And that isn't even the end of Night One.

There is only one night. Unless you are referring to the five night Stampede Cup that will immediately follow SuperClash.

SC lasts a week now. I wouldn't expect a non-Google Illuminati member to know that, though.

STS was a massive undertaking but very well done. Those who sent in RPs all came out looking good and I thought the involvement of Rick Marley and the surprise revelation of Gibson Hayes were great. Supreme Wright winning, while certainly not a bad choice, came off as a bit too predictable, though. I agree with Guzz that it might have been better to let somebody coming in with momentum get the win to mix things up a bit at the top of the card.

Plus... Supreme Wright is now getting closer to becoming the AWA's Lex Luger, in that he can only win a World title if the champion bails on the company, Terry Shane III is stuck in there for no apparent reason, then Chris Blue comes out and says, "Now is the time!" and Wright suddenly beats up Shane to a pulp, wins the title, turns heel for no reason while Shane turns face for no reason.

OK, now that I've just ruined the likely booking for the coming cycle (or not), let me continue. :)

Gaines family vs. Martinez family: The right team went over and the ending of Ryan pinning Gunnar was the right way to do it. Blows off the feud, allows the Gaines duo to focus on tags while Ryan can get back to singles and is a nice sendoff for Alex.

Spector vs. Shane: Thought it built well to the end but I think it would have made more sense just to go right to the "match has been thrown out" decision rather than playing up doubt regarding who really won. Minor quibble, perhaps, but it just seemed a bit excessive to have each guy announced as "winner via DQ" before the actual decision is rendered.

Terry Shane as Barry Windham?
Cole Hamels Fact #1685: The Devil went down to Georgia because he knew if he went to Philadelphia, Cole would strike his ass out.

The StS match was fun. It's sad if we're losing the Bishops, though. I'm most excited to see Gibson, because I didn't think Picky would ever join.

I dropped so many unintentional hints I was surprised no one slapped me. I blame watching Big Boss, Enter the Dragon, and Game of Death back to back to back.
Have I told you how much I loathe your continued existence today?

Wrapped up Texas Brawl today. Hoping to knock out the tag title match over the next couple of days which would leave me Thursday to finish the show.

I think I can, I think I can...

Finally was able to read to the last match of the show. Wow, does this card get me inspired to write for the next show.

Green vs Cooper. This was a nice opener establishing Cooper as a meanspirited bully and giving Green the face push.

Air Strike vs. Longhorn Riders. Good placement of the match. It was more lighthearted than the meanspirited first match and was a fun romp, getting the tags over.

Hyperstyle Wildbrawl. Even though I came out on the losing end of a dramatic return to the ring while injured (no Willis Reed moment for Shadoe) I think the match went well. Not sure if I consider this a blowoff match or the second part of a trilogy because the Rave were kind of just there, but I hope there's a final singles match between Rage and White who are even at 1 a piece. The Shane Gang goes down in futurestory as the winners of the first hyperstyle wildbrawl.

Scott vs. Dusscher. I can't wait for the Wisemen reveal. It's been a long time coming and I want to see who's coming in.

Steal the Spotlight: Jesus Christ, Blue, how did you stay sane writing that! Nice nod to EMWC with Devon Case still going strong. Although people seem to disagree with Supreme Wright winning I think it was necessary for him to win one. He was losing a couple important matches prior to this and the Gibson Hayes reveal sets him up strong for a feud that would be top of the charts right away. Demetrius Lake got a big rub out of it and we'll see where the IC Blue story goes now that he has seemingly no allies left.

Martinez vs. Gaines: A nice father-son story told in the ring. Alex Martinez gets a little moment with the Firebomb to save the pin for his son. Does A. Martinez wrestle anywhere? This would be a brilliant bow out moment as the son takes over the mantle.

Spector vs Shane: This is a send the crowd home happy match. The trouble was how do you get an older limited appearance character over in a way that would make the return worthwhile and yet not damage the workhorse character who will be around. One can't go over the other so you beat them both to hell and double DQ them. Might have been better to see the match get so out of control that Meekly threw it out without the ref bump, but both characters looked better for it and Shane didn't lose his title shot (yet.) Also, Shane seems better without the Gang if you ask me.

Good show so far. Thanks Blue for the commitment to the show.

Texas Brawl: Wild match and a "poetic justice" ending to the feud. And something that happened after the match certainly hints as to where the Lynches are going from here.

World tag team title match: The right team went over. As much as I love the current rendition of the Bombers, Jones/Herc has been on a roll and it was time for them to get the titles.

Wise Men partial revelation: Good to get some of the tale told as to what they are all about, yet it keeps you guessing as to who really are underneath those masks. Something tells me it's not the current Unholy Alliance. I'm still wondering if we get the revelation by the end of SuperClash.
