Revelation 2:14: Asa and Lincoln Marlboro. The wrestling preachers. I explained my plan for them in one of the AWA threads. I have to say, that as stupid as the idea sounds when it's articulated, I still think this would be a load of fun.

For reference, here is Revelations 2:14

Quote:

But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

That's an...interesting source of inspiration...

I've always been a fan of finding an obscure reference to use in non-traditional gimmicks when I could think of them.

I thought that chapter and verse were perfect, because these were going to be Southern preachers. And whenever you see the stereotypical Southern preacher talking, when he's not asking for donations, he's ALWAYS preaching about the evils of idolatry and fornication.

If you ever bring this team to the AWA, then you'll leave me with no choice but to create their arch rivals Balaam and Balac, Matthew 21:17.

Not really a character but a turn. I was going to turn my primary character Easton Hall heel way back when by having a Native American mystic named Makhpyia Sapa (which I believe means "black cloud" in some language, I remember that's what I wanted, don't remember if that's what it actually came out to) basically get in his head. Easton was going to be renamed Creation, as in, he's this new thing that's no longer Easton Hall and doesn't really have a name so we named him Creation. The idea was to make him totally serene and under the control of Makhpyia Sapa. The kicker was that he would wear tights adorned with blue butterflies. I can't remember the species, but it was a pretty vivid blue. Don't think it was the morpho, I just did a bunch of Googling.

The idea was shot down by the fedhead, who basically hated all aspects of it, but mostly the butterflies. I'm glad it happened, though I thought I did some pretty good RPs to set it up (which I have not saved and can't find, sadly). The Makhpyia Sapa character also showed up in later Easton RPs as a mysterious murderer from Easton's past... those I'm much less proud of.

"And he left them and went out of the city to Bethany, where he spent the night."

:confused3:

Wouldn't Mark 9:42 or 2.Peter 2:15 be more suitable for Balaam and Balak?

And the AWA mailing list just got about twenty more members who support NAMBLA after that comment, Dave.

You're obviously not a Simpsons fan.

"Homer the Heretic", where Homer starts his own religion letting him doing whatever he wants. Reverend Lovejoy trys to talk him out of it:

Lovejoy: "Homer, I'd like you to remember Matthew 7:26, 'A foolish man who has built his house on sand.'
Homer: "And you remember...Matthew...21:17!"
Lovejoy: " 'And he left them and went out of the city into Bethany and lodged there?'"
Homer: "Yeah ..think about it!"

Now that I've explained the joke, it is ruined forever. :crying:

Can you let me know a little more about his move set? I'm always interested in expanding my knowledge of ass-based submission holds.

I'd actually be curious to know who other people consider my worst character. But then again, some of the worst ones might just be a little too obscure - like El Freeko.
